Darryl and his crew did an excellent job transforming my back yard from a pile of dirt to an excellent outdoor space! They went above and beyond, even doing fence and deck work to finish the space. Darryl worked with me at each step to make sure I was getting what I wanted, and filled in with his knowledge when I wasn't sure what I wanted. Thanks!

We brought Darryl in with a general idea of what we saw for our patio. He was totally on board and seemed genuinely excited to get started. The outcome of the whole project is more than we ever could have imagined. The patio and the steps to our sunroom are absolutely perfect. Everything is level and so perfectly laid out. It makes me never want to go inside!

Darryl and his team transformed our ugly and unusable backyard into our own oasis. He worked with us to design a beautiful hardscaped area that would maximize the sloped space under our deck. Darryl and his team were professional, meticulous, and worked long days to complete the job in just over a week.

The entry to our backyard is sloped and narrow, presenting a challenging element to the job. Darryl came up with a creative solution that provided access for all the necessary machinery and supplies. When the patio was complete, they relandscaped the whole area, making it look better than before.

Story time: I am a new home owner and thus did not have a lot of prior experience when our basement flooded due to poor lawn grading and a defect on part of our house's siding which let the pooling water in. I was panicking because it was something I never handled before and with the constant rainstorms this summer our basement kept on taking in water! I called around to many other landscapers and companies to try and help. None of those other companies could help. The other companies said they couldn't fit us in their schedules or they couldn't handle the job. I called Landscape Solutions with a very defeated heart, expecting another rejection, but they surprised me. Not only were they able to help me out and fit me on a reasonable timeline, they also listened to me and understood I was a fish out of water and was really needing help! Within a week, right before another heavy rainstorm, they came by and fixed the lawn grading as well as the house siding defect, and they did a great job too! Darryl and his team even went above and beyond by additionally helping with poor drainage and a sloping fence in the area. And after all of that they properly seeded the area instead of leaving plain dirt mounds like some other companies would. Darryl even called me the next day, during the rainstorm, to make sure what him and his team did worked. And it did work! No water in the basement or pooling along the house! But one thing that really stood out to me, other than the amazing work, was the kindness and professionalism the team showed us. So thank you Landscaping Solutions.

Darryl was responsive from the beginning with a prompt site visit and quote, great suggestions and answers to all my questions. I can’t say enough good things about Land Solutions and owner Darryl Young and his team. Outstanding quality, attention to detail, customer service and professionalism. Land Solutions excavated part of my basement, poured a concrete wall and floor with built in drainage, demoed an old fieldstone wall in driveway including some massive boulders, built a new retaining wall and removed additional boulders. They were great throughout the project. His team is polite, hard working and highly skilled. Darryl himself goes the extra mile where others do not by keeping the customer informed all along the way, pointing out potential issues that undoubtedly pop up, asks for clarification before going too far and really tries to make the process as easy as possible for a non-professional not skilled in excavation, construction and landscaping. If the rating scale allowed me to provide a 10 I would. I highly recommend them for any of your “Land Solution” needs.

Daryl and his crew did an outstanding job transforming one of the worst front and back oversized lawns imaginable into a lawn we didn't think was possible.We are still amazed. During the process this crew dealt with rain, heat and, humidity and did not stop until the job was done to perfection. Escavation, debris removal, small tree removal, landscaping and seeding of new lawn were just some of the services provided. We highly recommend Land Solutions and would not hesitate using them again for any future projects.

Darryl and his crew did a fantastic job with installing a retaining wall, leveling off our backyard, installing a patio, as well as planting arborvitaes! He was always very responsive and worked with my wife and I to create a design that we both love. Would highly recommend to others and I’m sure I’ll be hiring him for other jobs in the future.

What an amazing transformation of our front walkway! Far exceeded our expectations! Needless to say we are extremely happy with the job that Darryl and his crew at Land Solutions have done. We had 100 feet of 8 inch thick concrete to be removed before a new stone walkway could be installed-no easy feat but they made it look easy. While there were a few unforeseen challenges along the way, Darryl was always able to suggest cost effective solutions for each. In addition to having a new walkway with stone edging installed we had an existing drainage problem addressed, an evergreen tree, old hedges and bushes removed, as well as a granite post with mailbox and a granite lamp post installed. Darryl was extremely easy to work with throughout the process. He has a keen eye for detail and his team was meticulous and methodical as they tackled he aspect of the project. It became apparent that they love what they do and take great pride in there work. We would not hesitate to hire them again! Thank you Darryl and crew!

We wanted to expand our patio to meet our new deck. Darryl and his team came in and did an awesome job working with what was there (even though it was a discontinued product) fixed what was wrong with the original patio, expanded what we asked for and made it all look amazing. I will absolutely use them again on our next project.

I contacted Land Solutions about doing a project in our backyard on May 22 and Darryl got back to me quickly stating he was available that weekend- we agreed on Saturday, May 25 @ at 1pm. By 1:45 Darryl still had came by or messaged so I sent a message informing him I had to leave and he responded back around 3pm apologizing saying he got held up at a job but could come by Tuesday 5/28 or Wednesday 5/29. I told him that I fully understood and gave him my availability for both days.
CRICKETS- never heard back on my last correspondence and today is Wednesday 5/29 @ 8:30pm
I would not recommend or hire Land Solutions with the evidence if they can’t even keep a date and time, not once but twice, I would not trust them doing approximately a $7000 project.

If you want a professional, innovative, and complete hardscape project, this company "ROCKS". I can't say enough about the quality and attention to detail Land Solutions provides. They are a full service design and hardscape installation provider. Can't recommend more highly. Completely transformed our front and backyard to a new oasis. The realtors have been knocking at our door to list it, but we love it.

For years, I sought the right person to do a job had been plaguing me: a daunting 8-foot retaining wall in front of my house, straight up from the street level. For years, I watched as my old retaining wall, with dilapidated wooden railroad ties, crumbled, leaving my driveway, that it supposedly supported, threatened. Then I found Darryl, and my wife and I both knew he was worth the wait.

First of all, and most of all, Darryl's a man of integrity. From the first time I met him, I knew this was a guy I could trust. He was personable, he was relatable, he was funny. He proposed an extremely reasonable and fair estimate, and with his experience and the way he conducted himself in the back-and-forth interactions, we were bought in. He made our relationship a partnership.

Darryl was personally there every day of the build, bringing his own mighty equipment and loyal, trustworthy crew. With Darryl at helm, he oversaw, and I witnessed, this grand "Lego set" of blocks assemble, one layer at a time, 3-D printer style, before my eyes. For me, I savored the reassurance Darryl gave me by architecting the build bit by bit by bit, so that once it was all over, I could stand on his creation ... with both the greatest of confidence and the greatest of pride. He did it. A stunning and solid retaining wall that was years in waiting.

Are these superlatives? Yes. Does Darryl deserve these? Yes, yes, and most yes. Because he did his job by exceeding expectations. And I simply admire anyone who's as decent and righteous as Darryl who can create a masterpiece like he did. That's blatant skill and experience.
