This would be a six star review if I could add one more. Nothing but positive things to say before, during, and after the six week kitchen renovation. Things were just handled, communication was consistent, and completion was the day promised months before.

Steve is fantastic and his subcontractors do good work. Cleanest and most organized contractor I've ever worked with. Does big as well as smaller jobs. He is the first person we call when we need work done!

My wife & I contracted with Custom Creations to remodel our kitchen in Fall 2019. We found Custom Creations through Home Advisor and selected them after evaluating several other contractors. While the price quote from Custom Creations was consistent with our other estimates, Custom Creations won our business by being thorough, communicative, and responsive to us during our evaluation.

Our kitchen remodel project was extensive...demolition to the studs, modification to water plumbing, running in natural gas, under counter and in-cabinet lighting, new cabinets, new appliances, new counter, and a large backsplash covering exposed walls. Custom Creations projected a 3 month timeline to complete the work, accounting for interruptions due to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Custom Creations continued to be thorough, communicative, and responsive at all points during the project, and were professional and pleasant to work with.

Steve took on our complex building project and managed it all with competence, excellent communication throughout by email, phone, text and in-person, and an always friendly, unflappable and positive disposition. It was a big job, rebuilding most of our 2800-square foot home after severe water damage. We had a multi-faceted project that required coordinating with town and insurance inspections and with our bank in addition to all the other moving parts of an extensive construction job. Steve provided a collaborative approach, attention to detail, excellent and prompt communication, patient and helpful explanations and conversations, specificity and thoroughness from proposal to every aspect of execution. He offered suggestions and ideas and advocated for best value on our behalf. He is held in high regard by previous clients with whom we checked and with the vendors and subs he selected for involvement in our project who spoke so well of him. We were especially pleased with his reliable and prompt responses to our questions and logistical inquiries. Though his own company is fairly new, he has many years of experience and deserves his growing fine reputation.

Our new kitchen looks amazing! As an inexperienced layperson, I loved how open and communicative Steve was throughout the remodel process. All costs and options fully itemized and explained. Every time someone was scheduled to show up, they showed up. Nothing major unexpected, and all hiccups handled smoothly and professionally. A+ will hire again

Couldn't have asked for a better job! Steve was professional, punctual and incredibly communicative the whole time, making this large project pretty stress-free! We gutted the entire basement and added back in a family room, full bathroom, laundry room and plenty of storage closets and he really found a way to make the best use of all of our space. He walked us through the whole project, gave us realistic timelines and even gave us his opinion on materials we had picked (pergo, vs. hardwood, vs. carpet) and the various types available and the respective quality and cost which was extremely helpful. The price was fair for the work being done and he finished right on time which was a huge plus! Overall we had a good experience with Steve's work and the project and would recommend him to anyone!

Custom Creations Contracting recently completed the refinishing of the basement at our home in Woburn. There are not enough stars available to properly and adequately reflect how pleased we are with the end result and more important, the process from start to finish. Steve Cavallo was the epitome of professionalism and communication throughout the entire job. The craftsmanship and final product are beyond our expectations. Steve completely transformed our basement and added a beautiful and extremely functional space into our lives which we will no doubt enjoy for years to come. However, it is not so much the work, but rather the experience of working with Steve, that I want to review.

As with any major home renovation, my wife and I did our due diligence and reached out to several contractors and got multiple quotes for the basement refinishing we were looking for. We had experienced less than ideal situations with contractors in the past and were very weary to go through the stress and frustration again. Ultimately, we decided to go with Steve and Custom Creations Contracting, mostly because of Steve himself. We started the process over the summer and dragged our feet over deciding if/when to move forward. Steve followed up with us after several weeks and helped us to figure out a plan to start work in the fall. From our first conversation and the initial planning phases, Steve was honest and accommodating to all our wants and needs. He understood our vision for the project and worked with us to provide us with the options and finishes that met all our requirements for both the final product and our budget.

He communicated with us daily (often several times a day - and did most of it through text, which for us, was critical during the work day) about timelines and the various options and decisions we needed to make along the way. He gave us windows for each phase of the work and either met or beat each completion date he set for that phase of the project. Every sub-contractor was neat and timely and Steve was on-site everyday to oversee the work and confirm that everything was done correctly. We came home every day to find progress being made and due to his organization, scheduling and attention to detail, the whole project was about as stress-free as a home renovation could possibly be.

Every vendor he directed us to was friendly and helpful and spoke of Steve in the most glowing of terms. We felt like WE benefited from the relationships HE has built over his years of experience and left every interaction feeling both happy and confident about the products and work that would be done. The allowances he set for the choices we had to make for finishes (tile, counter, cabinets, carpet, etc) were all extremely fair and allowed us to make the choices we wanted to make without fear of blowing up our budget in one given area and then having to sacrifice in others. He never tried to "sell" us on any particular product or decision, but always offered sage advice and opinions when we asked, based on his experience and expertise and made suggestions that enhanced the final product far beyond our original vision for the space.

Without disparaging an entire profession, I would have to describe Steve as "Not-Your-Typical-Contractor." There were never any unforeseen delays, no excuses were made (or needed) and no corners were cut to wrap things up and move on to the next job. We felt like he treated and approached the work as if he were working on his own home and this is evident in the final product.

We would (and will) recommend Steve and CCC with enthusiasm and without a single reservation, to anyone who is looking to upgrade or update their home. My wife and I could not be more pleased. The craftsmanship is excellent and if your experience is even half as seamless and stress-free as ours was, you will be thrilled that you chose Steve and CCC to complete whatever project you have in mind.

We are so happy with our new basement! Working with Steve was a pleasure. From day one, he was receptive to our ideas and worked with us to create a plan that met our budget and space requirements. Steve is excellent in managing the project and communicating with me. He gave very clear explanation of what will be done. He provided a very detail contract at the beginning which makes me feel more confident of him. He also guided me through the whole process from choosing engineering hardwood versus laminate flooring, to the options on the hearth, etc. he is also very responsive. I would always get a response from him promptly via phone, text or email. He also gave a realistic timeline and finished accordingly. The work his team did is excellent and basically transformed my outdated basement into a very modern family room. He also reviewed the work his team did and followed up in case of issue. He is the best contractor I have ever worked with. I highly recommend Steve.

We engaged Steve and his crew to add a bathroom and finish our basement. We are super happy with the quality of the work, and also with how the process went. Steve and his team are super knowledgeable, thorough and client-oriented. They will communicate clearly about timelines, expectations and costs, and they will accommodate requests and work with clients to arrive at the best possible option. We will hire them again for future projects.

We hired Steve to completely redo our finished basement; he gutted the entire existing space, worked to level the floors (every room a different height!) and finish the space for rec room/ office/ full bathroom. He was great at responding to questions and concerns. His subs were all friendly, polite, and did a great job cleaning up after each workday. Best of all he finished the project on budget and within the time frame promised. We will be hiring him back for all future remodel projects.

Steve rebuilt a significant portion of our home after it was damaged by a kitchen fire. We can't recommend him highly enough. He is knowledgeable, smart, solutions-focused, patient, and very personable. He hung in through all the nonsense with the insurance company. He accommodated our schedule for returning home. His sub-contractors were excellent. And no detail was overlooked. Just hire him.

Steve Cavallo and CCC turned out to be the best contracting firm we've ever worked with. After reviews and estimates from four other firms, we decided to work with Steve and CCC to build a brand new 2nd floor master bathroom. In reviewing the problem of turning a small and extremely challenging space into the bathroom we always wanted, his approach was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and open-minded. Some other bidders, including bathroom specialists, were openly negative to some of our ideas or tried to keep upselling bigger plans. But Steve's guidance, patience and inventiveness were key to a fantastic finished bathroom - beautiful, flawlessly functional, and a delight to use and just to look at. Steve and Sal and their team were rigidly focused on quality and several times decided to rework already completed work to make it absolutely perfect, even though we'd have signed off on it. And with minor adjustments for small changes we wanted made on the fly, CCC was in the end exactly on budget - no surprises. We most highly recommend Steve, Sal, and the CCC team for any construction project you have in mind, and we really look forward to working with them again.

We hired Custom Creations Contracting to finish our basement and add a bathroom. We couldn’t be happier. Steve at Custom Creations Contracting did a complete bathroom renovation for us in our 1880's house. From demolition to having a usable bathroom took about a month (exactly what was predicted at the start of the project), and we could see substantial progress each day. Steve's team came in and out of the house like clockwork each day, so that no time was wasted. A lot of our selections were custom (a custom, deep shower niche; custom floating shelves built by Steve's team) and everything turned out exactly how we hoped. We really appreciated the regular communication that always came directly from Steve. We knew every single day what was being done, what to expect over the next few days, and he was sure to answer any questions we had at the end of each day. He was very responsive when we had questions, both in person and via email and text. Overall, Steve made the process of having our only bathroom completely renovated as painless as possible, and my husband and I are very thankful we chose Custom Creations Contracting for this project.

We previously worked with CCC, LLC to remodel our kitchen, which we love, and so contacted Steve again to renovate our basement following extensive water damage. We contracted Custom Creations to do a kitchen, dining room and family room remodel in Burlington. Steve provided a very detailed proposal and timeline, from the labor, material and allowances to any change orders we requested. He was very communicative and professional throughout all aspects of the project and kept us updated with what was happening with the project at all times. We were a little apprehensive about contractors coming and going in our home, but Steve and his crew made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. He provided us with suggestions on design and explained in detail all of our options. He handled every aspect of the project deliverables, from soup to nuts. He even worked with our contracted cabinet vendor on their design and scheduling replacement cabinets when some of our cabinets arrived damaged. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience and how the project came out. They did an amazing job and in the timeline proposed! We’ve already recommended Steve to family and friends who are looking for a reliable, responsive, creative contractor. Great job Steve! 10 stars!

Steve and his team were amazing! Quick, clean, meticulous, communicative, professional. The list goes on! This is a before and after of what we had Steve do for us. We knew it would be a tough job, but after seeing what he did for my friend, I knew he could do it! He put me at ease whenever I was unsure about something and was always in touch with me along the way. I wish I had more projects for Steve to do! I love my kitchen now and it looks like it was always like this. Can’t say enough good things about Steve and his team!
