Hemlock did an amazing job of putting in a new deck along with other assorted outdoor construction items we needed to have done. They kept us posted regularly with any scheduling delays, completed the project quickly and at all times were professional and helpful in answering questions. I would highly recommend them for any projects you need to have done.

Hemlock just completed our deck this week and we couldn't be happier. Teddy was great throughout the entire process with responsive communication and helping us through the various options/decisions. Our preferred additions and last minute changes were no problem for Hemlock and were handled to our satisfaction. Fair pricing, great quality, and a great crew with excellent attention to detail. Would definitely recommend Hemlock and will be using them for future projects!

Fantastic job. Have gotten so many compliments on how attractive my porches are. Top quality materials. Great crew. No extra charges or costs. Done on time. Highly recommend.

We are thrilled with the results of our deck renovation completed by Hemlock Contracting. The final result is better than we could have imagined! The owner and every staff member was super professional and made sure that we were happy with our project during and upon completion. They fit our project in quickly and gave us a very fair price. I just gotta shout out these guys for knocking my backyard into next level shape with this custom deck. They handle every detail of the deck design like pros. The finished deck installation is straight fire—composite decking with that crisp white railing that makes my outdoor living space feel incredible. I was stoked with how smooth the whole process was; the team delivered quality work on time and didn’t blow up my budget, giving me the perfect patio extension for grilling and chilling. The guys also helped me pick the best materials for a durable deck that’ll survive New England winters and still look fresh. I’m definitely recommending their deck services to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor space.

Initial experience with Hemlock was good from the quote, planning and speaking with the individuals doing the work. My old raised deck and lower deck were torn down and the upper deck was replaced. The old footings were demolished and helical anchors used for the new structure.

My concerns were seen after completion. There were over 30 screws and bolts of various sizes left scattered over my yard and were not picked up. I continue to find screws months later which is disappointing and dangerous especially with kids. One of the railing sections was installed over an inch incorrectly and on a diagonal. This was fixed after I called, so appreciated the quick response but very obvious oversight during installation. Lastly the area where the stairs meet the walkway was never leveled and the stringers were just put against the ground so the lower half of the stairs are unlevel and a bit twisted.

I wish I had seen these during the 4 days of work but a bit disappointed overall given the cost of this deck replacement.

I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years on various home projects, real estate flips, etc. Teddy and the team at Hemlock contracting gave me the absolute best experience I have ever had on a project. We were looking to do a full remodel of the interior of our house. Full gut of the kitchen, living room, new hardwood floors throughout the entire floor and painting all of the rooms. We also had the dream of vaulting our relatively low ceilings to make the space feel bigger. I had 6 or so different companies come out to look and give me quotes. Teddy came out same day, was extremely thorough, and gave me a price that felt fair and was on par with most of the other quotes I got. Best of all though I could tell Teddy was genuinely excited for the project and cared about the work he was doing. He was able to start almost immediately and right away I was impressed with how fast the project was progressing. The entire team from Hemlock Contracting was amazing. They showed up early every day, worked extremely hard, and throughout every stage of the project they were extremely detail oriented and went above and beyond anything I had ever experienced before. Nate the project manager was amazing and just like Teddy I could tell he genuinely cared about the work he was doing. The remodel finished ahead of schedule and we are extremely happy with everything. If you're still reading this review, just hire Hemlock Contracting... you will not be disappointed. I've included some before and after photos for reference.

We had some serious damage from the snow. Teddy and the guys at Hemlock were very responsive. The team that came out to do the work were super professional and efficient. They replaced a large section of damaged shingles and even fixed some underlying issues we didn’t know about. Everything was done quickly, and they left our yard cleaner than they found it. If you need honest, reliable roofers, these are your people!

Nathan and his crew did a fabulous job building a second tier on my deck. They were quick and efficient and left everything in good order. Nathan and his team are very skilled and took the time to make sure everything was done properly. The deck they had put together matched exactly what we were looking for! I highly recommend HemLock Contracting.

I needed a porch rebuild on my older home. Hemlock Contracting came in and put the porch roof on stilts, demolished the porch underneath, and rebuilt a fresh new porch...all within a week and a half. Their crew was always nothing short of professional!
(A special thanks to Alex...you and your crew did, GREAT!)
I would highly recommend Hemlock Contracting to any homeowner looking to fix or upgrade an issue. All the staff at Hemlock Contracting were top-notch. The work was done in a timely fashion, and was done very well. Hemlock Contracting will be my go to contractor for future projects around the ol' homestead. As this customer is more than pleased with the results!

Hemlock Contracting did a great job building our deck.
We worked primarily with Nate, and communication was excellent from start to finish. He was responsive, clear about timelines, and easy to work with throughout the project.

One thing that really stood out was their ability to source a specific hardwood I wanted, which not every contractor was willing or able to do. The craftsmanship is solid, the deck came out exactly as planned, and the worksite was kept orderly.

Overall, a professional experience and a high-quality result. I’d recommend Hemlock Contracting to anyone looking for reliable work.

I just had the most amazing experience with Hemlock. Ben and Nathan were such a pleasure to work with. From the first consultation to the final inspection, they treated this project like it was their own backyard makeover. The finished deck construction is absolutely stunning—sleek composite decking with crisp white railing that makes my outdoor living space feel like a luxury retreat. I was blown away by the quality of their craftsmanship and the seamless integration with my home. The crew handled the entire deck installation with such professionalism. The job was finished on time and on budget, giving me the perfect patio extension I've always dreamed of. I especially love how they helped me choose the right materials for a durable and beautiful deck that will stand up to New England weather. If you're in Longmeadow and looking for expert deck builders who deliver top-notch custom deck solutions, give them a call!

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our new deck! We met with two other contractors in the Worcester area, but Hemlock offered the best price by far without sacrificing quality. The scheduling process was smooth, they got us on the calendar quickly, and the entire project was completed within a week.

Highly recommend. Great prices and even better contractor crew! the finished porch stairway they did for me was adequately done! Hunter F. Was who did my stairs, he is a very professional and communicative gentleman with a great work ethic.

We had these guys out to replace our aging metal roof, which was a project we'd been dreading for ages. From the initial quote to the final inspection, everything was incredibly smooth. Teddy and Ben were fantastic about explaining the whole process. No hidden fees, no fuss, just solid, reliable contracting company. Our new roof looks sharp, and we've already noticed a difference in our energy bills. Highly recommend Hemlock if you want a job done right!

These guys just finished installing this deck and it looks awesome! I love gray composite decking paired with the crisp white vinyl railing. It gives my backyard a clean, modern vibe. We had a deck prior that wobbled like crazy so that is something I was concerned about. This deck is as sturdy as can be. The installation went smooth. Definitely recommend Hemlock Contracting for anyone wanting to upgrade their outdoor space. Five stars!

My wife and I were very satisfied with our new deck! We shopped around for 2 other contractors in the Worcester area and Hemlock gave us the best price. We were able to schedule within a timely period and work was completed within a week. We were able to enjoy our new deck in time for the summer and it’s still holding up great this winter! I’ve recommended them to friends and family and would continue to do so. Special shout out to Nathan who was a pleasure to deal with!

Working with Hemlock was an amazing experience. Ben was great to work with during the quoting process, very responsive. Nick and Chucky did amazing work. Their attention to detail was great. They were reliable, friendly and a pleasure to work with. It was a deciding factor that they could do the patio as well as the decks. And we must also do a shout out to Brooke, in the office , who tolerated all our questions and was super helpful!. We will definitely be using Hemlock again for our next project. Hartford County, CT
