Replaced our air conditioner and it was a great experience. Brian and his partner were thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. They worked well together and cleaned up after themselves. We went with Schaafsma because the initial service call experience was the best out of 3. The service tech was very respectful and explained what he was checking and shared his results in a language I could understand. The quote was the best also.

Bill and Drew came back to finish up on our furnace/AC replacement. They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and took exceptional care in ensuring no dirt, leaves or mud was brought into the house by placing runners from the furnace room to our outside door as well as cleaning up after themselves. Their work was completed without issue and the installation of both the furnace and AC unit was neat and clean. Both Bill and Drew were pleasant and professional, answering all questions and asking if there was anything else needed. Their work confirmed my belief that Schaafsma is the best HVAC company in the GR area! Drew and Bill exemplified this through their work and attention to detail.

Matt made sure to show me how things work. He was thorough. Matt came right at 8:00am. He made sure to get the correct thermostat and check the dampers, as I told him my bedroom was always cold. Thank you!

Braiden was AWESOME!! Explained everything. Very friendly. Total professional. Called the main phone in an emergency situation (furnace out in -15 weather), got a quick text back & got booked for a very reasonable rate & problem got solved quickly. Couldn’t be happier with response time, service & cost.

I had my first rental inspection that required a mechanical inspection on my water heater and furnace. I reached out to Chris Gessner at Schaafsma with very little idea as to what would be involved. He was SO nice, patient and informative on what would be looked at and made sure I was set up for success before his team arrived. They were able to schedule everything very quickly and worked with my schedule. Jason did the actual inspection and he was FANTASTIC! Very communicative as to what he was doing and looking at. I felt very comfortable and confident throughout the process. Being my first time with a rental property, I was intimidated but they made everything so easy. Highly recommend!!!

My Technician Connor was excellent. He analyzed all the issues our HVAC was having and explained everything to me in detail. We signed up for a yearly maintenance plan. So grateful to work with such a fine company.

They were here same day and identified the issues with our furnace quickly. They were honest and pricing was fair. Great work.

Called for emergency service in the early afternoon due to furnace blowing cold air. Was told it would be an after hours call. However less than an hour later I was contacted that they were on their way. Very happy with Andy and Schaafsma Heating. I was very worried due to the below zero temperatures and needed heat. They definitely came through. Update 1/23/26: Had to call again for service and Andy came out first thing. We opted for a new furnace purchase and could not be happier.

Everytime I have had to call them has been an amazing experience. They originally replaced my furnace and ac within the week that I called it was incredibly fast.

Today I noticed after a snow storm my furnace wasn’t working and it was getting cold fast. I was stressed about the cost and not being able to have heat to keep my children warm, they were able to get a technician out within a few hours to get the issue fixed and educate me on how to prevent the issue from happening again.

I am super thankful for the technician who came out in this weather but the woman who answered the phone (I am terrible with names) who listened to me stressed and my concerns and still treated me with compassion and my issue with urgency!

Carl came out on short notice to help repair damaged furnace ducts from plumbing work that was actively being done. He got it done quick and for a great price.

We have had issues with our furnace for years, we had a new one installed in 2021 by another company, again yearly still having issues, my husband asked for recommendations from people at work and all said Schaafsma! Our furnace was not working at all and the young man that came out, looked way young, but he assured my husband he knew what he was doing! But we weren’t worried about his age, just hoping he could fix it! It didn’t take him long to figure out the issue and he was able to fix it! His name is Rob McIntyre and this young man is very professional and knowledgeable. He explained things and showed my husband the exact issues! If you need a repair! Call Schaafsma and if you can ask for Rob! I’m sure all their technicians are great, but we were very impressed with him! Thank you Rob and Schaafsma, plus our freezing dogs thank you! We will be nice and warm in this cold fall night!

We have used Schaafsma for years and they have never disappointed us. The technicians have all been timely, friendly, and very knowledgeable, even training me when I asked how to do some basic maintenance on our furnace. Thank you for your great support over the years! Jason had a very difficult job to repair our boiler and he was excellent at keeping us informed of the repair process and the costs involved. We are extremely pleased with the repair service he gave us. I would highly recommend him.

Excellent service from Braydon who can quickly to look at our furnace and was kind and honest with his assessment, Cameron was very helpful with giving us options for a replacement furnace and AC and the installation team was thorough, quick and did an great job too. It was a total of three days from assessing the problem to installing a whole new system. I’ll use them from now on!

Came out same day, had an opening. Trouble shot the unit, repaired it and was done in a short period Of time. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. Would give him a six if it was possible. My background it’s a business owner doing home inspections for the last 35 years. Self-employed over 55 years, Would hire him as an employee in a second.

By far the best experience I have ever had with a service tech of any kind. Kind, resourceful, diligent, knowledgeable and all very affordable. Scheduling was quick and easy and on time. If the rest of the company is like the men who came to my home I would recommend you look no further.

Very happy! I scheduled a same day appointment and they were there within a few hours to service my furnace. Zachary and Cameron were super friendly and knowledgeable, and found the issue right away! I couldn’t ask for better service. Highly recommend!!
