First time getting my sprinkler system winterized. The service was on time and precise. Roy Tyler was our tech, and he was polite and to the point, and even took the time to explain a few questions about our system. This was a great experience and I highly recommend using this company

Easy to schedule winterization. Roy notified me when he was on his way. He was efficient and informative. I was concerned about possible noise but the procedure did not wake up the sleeping baby or toddler. Will schedule with them again! Highly recommend!

Installed a sprinkler with spacing issues. I have been patient and increased water usage but every year I have the same dried up spots. Kept lawn long this year just to confirm. Besides issues all other systems seem to be working as designed.

7/23/25-update:
Called as requested on 07/08/25. Was informed I maybe changed and that a manager who was out of town would follow up on 07/14/2025. They speculated that it was an adjustment issue over the phone and not my concerns. They also questioned why I waited to inform them on the concerns as the warranty is only two years. I advised that a reasonable person would insure the grass grew out and there was not any other causes. It should be noted that my install was in the fall, this limited the usage of the sprinklers.

I have not received a follow up call from their office.

We loved this company last year and even more so this year. They texted us to remind us about getting on the schedule for winterizing our sprinklers- it was a nice reminder! Then Roy came on October 16th. He was great and efficient and very friendly and professional! We highly recommend!

Working with Grand Rapids Irrigation is a pleasure from start to finish. Their reviews were AMAZING so I invited them an other company to come and give an estimate. The initial assessment is more then a quick look-over quote. GRI takes the time to truly understand your situation and get their hands dirty (literally) if necessary. This gives the homeowner tremendous confidence in both the diagnosis and the range of options available. The work crew was also fantastic. Very professional, doing everything exactly as planned in a courteous and even collaborative manner. Recommended very highly.!

Alex is a rockstar! I have zero complaints from his service. Alex started my system this year and noticed a crack in my back flow valve and a leaking feeder hose from my Rid-O-Rust system. He went above and beyond and advocated to his company that they needed to be covered under a warranty fix. He also came back out when I was having a valve issue with my Rid-O-Rust system and replaced that. Alex is super knowledgeable and highly recommend him and Grapids to anyone who asks.

I have always been happy with the professional, fast , and responsible service from Lawn Starter. Jacob does a great job of responding to questions and keeps me informed on any updates to my regular schedule, and the reason for a change.

I’m reviewing a company today called LAWN STARTER Lawn care. I had an experience today with this company that told me who they were. I originally looked for a mowing service and their name came up. After I went to the site I decided I couldn’t really afford the price and told them so. They seemed to care that I felt that way then offered me a trail for $19.00 and I thought wow how nice and caring...then they told me that if I did a reviewed for their business I could get a $20.00 discount on my next mowing job and I thought wow they really do care so I did the review I also did a Facebook review for in additional $2.00 off and I thought this is great. Until it wasn’t... I awake in the morning and see a withdrawal of $39.00 and I was confused and upset. I quickly contacted the company and canceled the service because I felt like I was lied to. Don’t get me wrong the man I had did a good job be I felt like I wasn’t told the truth and later I found out I was right. After I canceled they came out with how sorry they were but they were not going to refund my money because of a unexplained and a unheard of subscription. I was livid then I explained that you said I had discounts on my next mow job what happened, according to them they used it for my first job that was suppose to be $19.00 dollars... although I’m not good at math...I do know that 19 take away 20 is a negative 1 but I was still charged $4.00 for that first job...this company coxed me to advertise there company on NEXT DOOR for what was suppose to be a discount..but now called a subscription and refuses to refund my money for 1 day of service...they were misleading..malicious and fraudulent...I will never use them and will not recommend them to anyone TKH is a regular lawn service without any underline guidelines or subscriptions...I can suggest you might want to look into them.

Issues with customer service only responding to one message extremely unprofessional and only responding the one time. Each message for assistance and or clarification after the one and only time they responded went completely ignored. I paused my service at end of the season, yet the crew was sent over and mowed with no notice or warning for first lawn maintenance of the season. I messaged customer service regarding this as I was not home and was in the hospital when it happened, yet they never replied but continued to send an automated text requesting payment. Had customer service been even remotely helpful I would have continued my service. The only reason I even gave a star was because of how great the crew was that took care of my lawn.

If you are in the Holland area, providers are NOT available. Don't get stuck with a jungle of a yard and a fine from the county, go elsewhere.
I have a chronic illness that keeps me from being able to get out and mow consistently. I booked with Lawnstarter, thinking I was covering my bases. I knew I was paying a bit more, but I was fine with that because it was presented as extremely convenient and dependable. This is not so, two missed "appointments" and a phone call that basically said- "if we find someone we can come" -later. I still have a jungle out there. I asked to PAY a premium for someone out of the area to come and mow to avoid the fine. I got a no. When I realized I was getting too frustrated with the poor phone rep who had nothing to do with any of this mess: I asked for a manager, after a hold I was told they were all in meetings.

What grade of service you get depends who they send out. Sometimes the crew cancels service on the day. The app is sometimes annoying to use when I was attempting to pause service it said it was paused but next week it was still in service. The call center is always busy and often times returns the call hours and hours later.. had to switch service to different company. Oh not to mention the crazy price increase after a year... without explanation. I gave it 3 star because the last crew person I had who mown my grass was always on time.

I paid for mowing, edging and trimming. I have two properties that were assigned to a provider. One property the back yard wasn't mowed at all and on both properties no edging of the sidewailks and driveways were done. I called and they came back out to complete the job. The provider who's name is Ryan didn't do anything and marked the job as complete. I called Lawn Starter and they offered me a $15 refund. I refused and told them that on their website it says that if I am not completely satisfied with the results I am entitled to a full refund. I'm still waiting for that refund.

David did a great job mowing and trimming our lawn! Very fast, efficient and communicated well with us.

Very friendly took his time, and made sure that everything was cleaned up before he left . Can’t wait for the next cut very pleased with LawnStarter lawn care service.
