We called Hancock Chimney after we noticed our chimney cap had fallen off. We requested a new screen and cap. When they got here, there was nothing wrong with the original parts so they just resecured them. This saved us some money and we appreciated their honesty!

I am very impressed with the service I received. Could not believe how hard the agent worked to get 2 dead ducks out of the fireplace chimney. Did an inspection also. Fast, efficient, very capable. Highly recommend.

I am so grateful to Hancock Chimney Service for their good follow up and careful inspection. They helped identify what follow up will be required to keep our chimney safe and useful. It wasn’t possible to do our dryer vent cleaning, but they followed up and rescheduled it. Hopefully we won’t have so much snow. Not critical now, so we’ll do it when it’s easier to do. Hancock Chimney has been a pleasure to work with the last few years - from getting an inspection/sweep to having a new liner installed - they get my full recommendation. Their techs have been excellent communicators and bring about understanding for needed and potential future work without a hard sales pitch or pressure.

I called Hancock Chimney Service after a tree fell on my house and hit my chimney. They did a great job inspecting the damages, writing up a report with recommendations for next steps, and reinstalling the rain cap that had been knocked off. When the team had to reschedule due to a snowstorm, they communicated with me well in advance and were quick to reschedule for the next time they would be in the area. They called the day before to confirm the appointment window and the team called day of when they were on the way. I am very happy with their service and feel that it was a good value for the work performed.

Hancock Chimney was excellent! They were thorough, professional courteous and timely. They cleaned up after themselves and did not leave a mess. I highly recommend them, and have asked them to return for a yearly inspection and cleaning of my chimney. They've taken the stress out of chimney cleaning for me.

Our representative, Jason, was able to move our cleaning date up a month, which was a nice surprise, and they arrived on time.

But he came in with an arrogant, demeaning, know-it-all attitude. He barely spoke during the cleaning, and when my husband asked how our chimney looked, he only said, "I've seen worse."

He verbally bullied his assistant who remained oddly quiet the whole time. He then coldly tried to scare us into a $6,000 repair to the chimney which did have a crack. But he couldn't say if it went all the way through because he never bothered to inspect it from the inside of the attic.

My husband has been in the home building business for over 45 years. He has rebuilt hundreds of damaged homes and has dealt with as many inspections. so he isn't a novice.

The team was very professional. I got reminders and a phone call the day before making sure I didn't have any questions. The guys were on time and completed their work in timely manner. They were professional and gave me a full report upon completion. They were careful of property and protected their work area. I would recommend them to anyone in need of chimney services.

Had an appointment for chimney inspection but they were able to come days earlier. Made the inspection, sent me pictures, a description of the work needed and an estimate later the same day. Fast, professional and friendly.

I had to pay a fee for them to come out to give me an estimate on my Chimney. Which when the guy came out, he charged us a chimney sweep. Which we didn't need since we have not used the chimney since we bought the home. It was disclosed to us it needed a liner when the previous owners had it cleaned. I explained but I still had to pay a fee for them to come out to the property. Ok I agree. Well, you would have thought the house was going up in smoke when the guy was doing the estimate. Now I have a 1957 home, nothing is to code, he wasn't telling my husband anything he didn't know. Also, even in the estimate, warning us over and over not to have a fire. No kidding. That's why we need someone out for an estimate to see the cost to fix. The estimate is very expensive. Well above are budget. It's amazing how much everything cost these days. Not sure we can ever afford this project. Thanks for the 379-dollar warning.

Our inspection was done thoroughly and professionally with actual pictures to illustrate the findings. We received a detailed price estimate shortly after the inspection. Work was easy to schedule, though weather didn't cooperate. Crew was very good about letting us know schedules, arrival times and work plans. They were attentive to distancing and masking in and around our home. They carefully protected floors, furniture and surfaces and cleaned up thoroughly after each work session. We received the final invoice quickly after the work was completed and noted that it identified all the work and confirmed that the fireplace and chimney meet relevant codes. Office and all staff were friendly, responsive and easy to work with. In short, we greatly appreciate Hancock and endorse the company.

Had an inspection and potential sweep scheduled. Techs came out and performed the inspection and determined I didn’t need a sweep- recommended a few non-immediate updates that should be done eventually and gave a very reasonable quote for those- declared my fireplace safe to use (huzzah!).

We have a wood fired pizza oven in our restaurant, the last company did not clean it properly or show us/communicate with us about anything. Hancock has been nothing short of amazing. They answer all your questions and if the person you ask the question to is unsure, they find out for you! It has been amazing and I cannot believe we waited this long to change. New to having a fireplace we called Hancock after seeing many suggestions on our community page. The guys that came out were prompt, professional and courteous. They explained what we had going on, safety vs. cosmetic vs. home maintenance issues and provided a detailed report. We planned on having them do a chimney sweep but after they ran the camera and reviewed the reasons it’s not safe to run our wood stove insert it wasn’t necessary, saving a bit of time and money. I’ll be calling them again when we’re ready to move forward with changes to our system.

Had a wonderful experience with Hancock Chimney. The communication was great and they did a very good job with our chimney sweep & inspection. Very knowledgeable crew. They were careful not to trail in any dirt and very considerate of my space.

Great service, arrived in a timely manner, my appointment was scheduled for 3:00 pm, and I received a text a few days prior that the techs would be to my house between 3-5:00, the techs called me a little before 3:00 that they were on their way. The process was kept very clean, my floor and rug in front of my wood stove were all kept covered, the guys were very polite and answered all my questions. Will be hiring them again.

The team came an hour early after calling and asking the if they could. Work was thorough and clean up was perfect. Can’t imagine anyone doing it better. Made some minor sealing repairs and cautioned me to wait two days to make sure the sealant they applied was completely dry. These men are pros.

I had Hancock out to inspect the fireplace on the house I recently purchased. They found some big concerns upon their inspection, so I hired them to conduct the repairs: replacing the fractured clay tile flue with new stainless, pouring a new wash cap, and doing spot masonry repair. Jason and his technician did fantastic work. Jason did an excellent job explaining what they were doing and why. Their reports are thorough: especially with the camera shots of the flue inspection on my old clay tile flue. Their work and professionalism speak for themselves. I would absolutely recommend them for anything fireplace related!
