Take my one star because I can't give you less! Planned to have service through this company back in April/May for aeration and overseeding but they couldn't get out until late August early September so I was signed up with a weed preventative program to keep my yard weed free until the date they can do the above mentioned work. Tuesday 8-24-21 I recieved a text message stating that they would be coming to do the aeration and overseeding on 8-26-21. These pictures were taken on Tuesday, after several weed preventative applications. These weeds are covering the only part of my lawn that actually needs grass planted the other 80% of my lawn is healthy grass. Please, unless you are desperate, search elsewhere for better quality service before wasting your time and money for nothing with this company! Edit: In response from owner. No thank you. You and your company have already shown your true colors. If you want to make things right you can publicly announce my refund for your atrocious service.

I am very happy with my service with Truegreen. I wish you could give me an earlier advanced notice of the day of service. I checked both front & breezeway doors for the service report, but couldn't find any, so I am glad you attach it with the email. I also thought I would be assigned a technician, but see that I've had a different technician every time.

10/11/22- Update to review. Once I posted the review last week I received a call from corporate to try to rectify the continuous issues, however it was to late. It should have been addressed when I was still a customer. I do appreciate the willingness to refund the last service for the aeration and over-seeding. Do not use TruGreen. You’ll never be able to speak with anyone locally and management will not contact, they sell you the service and that’s it. I’ve been a customer with TruGreen since 2019 and the last two seasons of service have been the worst I have ever received. I’ve had them show up , not treat my property sit in their vehicle then leave. When they do show up they are here for 5 minutes and leave. I have over 9500 square feet of grass, no way to complete the service in that time span. Yesterday TruGreen completes an aeration treatment which I canceled earlier this year. They still completed the service and charged $293. The technicians are a joke and extremely unprofessional they don’t care about the customers lawn just about scamming people out of money. The customer service representative are polite and make all the notes possible however it does you no good as TruGreen just takes your money. My lawn has gone downhill the last two seasons. I’ve voiced my concerns over and over and requested management to contact me and nothing. I had one technician stand around do nothing and smoke on my property while the other technician did work.

I hired True Green to weed and feed my lawn last year. While they did an adequate job I did end up having to sod a couple areas that were damaged as a result of poor fertilization application. I decided to give them a second chance and certainly wish I hadn't. See pictures. Been trying to get someone to call me so they could come out and meet with me. The young lady I talked with on the phone today said the manager may or may not want to see the photos of the damage but surely would call. Update: 6/22/2022 Hope you all have had a look at the pictures of what True Green did to my lawn. A service order was put in a week and 1/2 ago. I have not yet had a response. I called Monday and was told a manager would contact me. I offered to send pictures to him/her, the young lady I was talking to wouldn't share an email address with me because she didn't know which manager would handle this and they already had previous pictures although those did not show the extent of the damage. As it stands right now it looks as if I'm going to loose my entire lawn. While I understand mistakes happen and with the labor market the way it is those mistakes probably happen more frequently. However, this was not a one time fertilization. If a manager had reached out to me when True Green was first contacted by my salesman perhaps the damage could have been limited to just what was done in the spring. I'm not quite sure why I have not been contacted.

Their employees don't care and don't get good coverage. They skipped around doing 100 mph and leaves burn spot and missed a good 20 to 30 percent of our park. Definitely recommend going with a smaller company and people that care about the job they are doing.

We live in the Big rapids area and I do believe our service comes out of the Grandville office. Several years ago we started with TruGreen at the suggestion of our neighbor as we struggled to keep our lawn in good order. The first season was rough we struggled with weeds burnt grass and it never looked quite like our neighbors. Our neighbor suggested we contact TruGreen and ask for Matt McNeil to service our yard as well as we had different lawn specialists. TruGreen granted this request and our lawn quickly transformed. Over the years of Matt servicing our lawn he would take time to educate me if I was home and what he did and why he was doing it if I had specific concerns he would ensure that they were taken care of. As the years passed those quick conversations about the yard turned into conversations about family work and many other things. Matt made it a point to stop and have a quick conversation if he knew I was home to tell me what he was doing why he was doing it and to ask about family. A few years ago Matt switched over to the commercial side and informed us that he would no longer be serving the residential aspect of TruGreen. We were devastated and have struggled with our lawn since. However I reached out to Matt he provided suggestions on things to request from TruGreen and we have since seen great improvement in our lawn. Every now and then I seen Matt out servicing commercial lots, I miss those conversations I miss the care and concern that he had for our lawn and our family. While he is missed as our lawn specialist and friend I know that the business community is is thriving in their lawn care because he is taking care of them. If you have a business in the Big rapids area and are in need of lawn care I would highly suggest with 10 stars that you ask for Matt McNeil to service your lawn as your lawn specialist with TruGreen.
