More Than Plumbing was assigned to me by AHS. The online service request was quick, easy and took an a week for a text to come w my appt date. Arrival 8-4 on a particular day. I texted back to confirm I was able to take the day off short notice but was concerned ab PTO. Next day they texted arrival time 8-12. Yay!
I received a text the morning of with a tracker (like Dominos). Connor came in, was professional AND down to earth. Fixed it and explained, showed me each step he took and gave me information in case replacement was needed. Eventually I learned replacement was needed and Connor responded within a couple hours to get the replacement process started. He had already confirmed me of what was and was not covered with replacement. I appreciated that bc expectations are big for a single senior citizen. Looking forward to having hot water and grateful that Connor will be handling the work.

More than plumbing was assigned to us by AHS. Connor was very professional in explaining the problem with our water heater, which needed to be replaced. He was upfront with how much of the work may be out of pocket and was dead on with his estimate. He also arrived to do the replacement and did an excellent job.

We have AHS Warranty they use More Then Plumbing, What a Joke on Both Ends! Please Do Not Waste Your Time or $$$! Said we needed more things to be replaced that insurance company won't pay for coast of $700 come to find out things didn't need to be replaced after they Gave us the run around, don't answers or return calls, took them 18days to finally get ahold of us and said we can't help you!

This company was assigned through my home warranty. They refuse to reschedule at a time that I've requested because they are "rarely in my area." They stood me up for my appointment on 3/13/25. I will take down the review as soon as my service has been completed.

HORRIBLE COMPANY - This contractor was assigned through my home repair warranty (AHS). They are NOT responsive, never called to schedule an appointment, and after several calls from me & my warranty company, 2 men just decided to show up without notice 5 days after ticket was opened. To top this off, the plumber did not fix the root of the problem at all. They were sort of rude and had the nerve to tell me AHS would not cover all of my issues. They then provided a $1000 estimate as if I would really work with them.

Not even 30 days later, I had to reopen case because my initial faucet issues returned. To no surprise, they are not responsive,, have yet to callme to set up the appointment and its been over 2 days. My advice is to find another plumber because this one is not professional at all!

Worst worst company to deal with. They lie to you on your face about the appointment. Give client some information and when American home sheild call they make client lool like stupid...told AHS to block them from any future appointment for our house...WORST COMPANY. I have no choice but to give 1 star to post my review.

More Than Plumbing was the business selected by American Home Shield (AHS) to replace our Hot Water Heater when our existing unit broke down.

AHS got us an appointment booked with More Than Plumbing within a day of filing our claim. We were initially concerned by the very low Google review, but this is who AHS picked so we had to roll with it. That existing 2.1 star rating is NOT at all representative of our experience. Our transaction was excellent.

Frank is the technician who arrived on time exactly within the appointment window, he assessed our situation and gave us all the recommendations/info needed to make an informed decision.

The way AHS works - the plumber has to order the new hot water heater that AHS approves, so that's where the delay came into play. Going a week without hot water is no fun, but that's the process so it is what it is.

We got an email from AHS within a few days that the new hot water heater arrived to the plumber's shop and we confirmed our install appointment all through the automated AHS messages.

Frank and another gentlemen arrived at the early end of the install appointment window, got the old unit removed and the new unit installed within a few hours. They cleaned up the area they worked in superbly and left my basement as neat as when they arrived. Frank made sure we tested all our faucets and got the air out of the water lines & that everything was working perfectly before they wrapped up and left. The new hot water unit was installed very professionally and looks like it too.

We had some extra out-of-pocket expenses due to code changes and incorrect piping from the prior hot water heater install that Frank was transparent about. The cost seemed fair for the work completed.

Overall - we had a great experience with More Than Plumbing and for the most part AHS as well. I'd highly recommend this business.

Was skeptical after reading the reviews but I can’t say enough good things about the service we received! We had 2 new water heaters installed flawlessly. Frank was so nice and professional. Exceptional experience!

Service technician lied about having access to my pipes. And when I showed him that the access was there. He then claimed it was because my body was built differently.

He called my insurance company and claimed he didn't have access which is the one thing that they don't cover. I sent pictures proving that there is access. I should not have had to go through this extra mile. If only there was a technician who wanted to do the work. Troy clearly did not want to do the work. It had nothing to do with access.

Made me waste a day staying at home. Wish I would have looked at all these terrible reviews online before allowing them to come to my home and waste my time.

To preface - I was a little apprehensive at first when seeing the stars and some of the google reviews.
The team at More than Plumbing was assigned to my location through my AHS home warranty. I will say that they did an exceptional job in replacing my water heater. Frank (plumber) was very knowledgeable and professional, and very upfront about any cost out of pocket that AHS home warranty may not cover. Courtney (scheduler) was very transparent as well about the possible lead time to get a water heater that AHS would replace my old one with. Overall, I would say that the team did an excellent job in communicating, scheduling, and executing the replacement of our water heater.

This company was dispatched from my home warranty company AHS. I have a gold plan which covers tank replacement, valves, and labor. This company said I neede a handful of mocifications and that is not covered (of course it isn't, they are oppurtunists, and wanted me to pay them for said modifications almost 1k, I need a hot water tank replaced, I don't need a water line ran, concrete busted, or any of the sort. Shady business!!

First the contractor did not pull a permit for my water heater installation. They told me a part which clearly shows on the installation manual was not part of the installation (after everything was finished) It did not say optional drip pan anywhere. I paid $1225 a couple more dollars wouldn't have mattered but now they want $800 to fix it.

Because I DID NOT CATCH IT (not a twp inspector) and ask extra for it, it's not there.

I am in violation monthly now because they want $800 to fix it!

These guys did a terrible job with my sump pump and refuse to call me back. I got water all over my floor because the guy didn't clamp the rubber tube. I had to call another company name 5K Plumbing who walked me through over the phone.
More than plumbing never answer their phone and the American Home Shield company keeps sending them to my house. 😡

Please look at the other reviews and do NOT use this company. We had them assigned through American Home Shield. It took over a week before they could come to look at our leaking toilet. They told me the water tank was cracked and so the whole thing needed to be replaced. Additionally, they said the toilet, which was installed almost 20 years ago with no problems since then, was not up to code, installed incorrectly/not level on the tile. Thus, our home warranty refused to pay for any of the cost of replacing the toilet and I would have to pay about $1100 directly to the company to replace the toilet. The plumbing company did not return my call when I left a message to talk to the technician about the claim.

As the leak needed to be addressed urgently, I found another company who was available to come the next day and quoted me around $300 to replace the toilet and we bought one from Home Depot for about $200 (total cost way less than $1100). When the tech from the other company came out the next day, within a few minutes, he was able to tighten a portion of the flush mechanism to stop the leak, said there was no concern with how the toilet was installed and it did not need to be replaced. And they just charged me a call out fee, even though I had told them I would pay for the replacement. I have had no issues with leaks since the other company fixed the issue. I believe that More Than Plumbing was really just trying to cheat unsuspecting home owners.

I don’t know how this place even has customers! I was assigned to More Than Plumbing by my home warranty company for a broken water heater. The tech who initially came out was very helpful and friendly, did his part of the job but needed to order parts. Parts were ordered and delivered but I cannot get a hold of anyone to set up an appointment for installation. I have called them EVERY day for over a week trying to get an appointment to complete my repairs. They have the parts (the home warranty company ordered them and confirmed they received them several days ago) but unfortunately the folks at More Than Plumbing don’t anewer their phone and they don’t return phone messages. EXTREMELY frustrating. Going on more than 2 weeks without hot water and it’s getting a little old.

We manage the home for an owner who has a home warranty. We submitted a claim for no hot water at the end of February. The tenant missed the appointment and we asked to reschedule. They closed the ticket with the warranty company who had to call them to reopen the claim and then told us they would call in 24 hours. It has been 13 days and tons of promises to call us back and no phone call. Very disappointing.

Run, run, run from this company! I wouldn’t have this company fix an outhouse. The were contracted through American Home Shield. They don’t come out. You cannot get a hold of anyone by phone or email.

Probably the absolute worst company you can deal with. They are unprofessional and unresponsive to absolutely anything. A technician from this so called company came to our house in September 11, 2023. He was unbelievable rude , short and angry with my parents who were there to let him in. After leaving and getting approval for replacement of the hot water heater this company went AWOL. You cannot call them they don’t answer. You can’t leave a message but yes you know what I am going to write they don’t return calls. You can email but yet again they don’t respond.

The invoice they left at the house was up charged with bogus charges. A reputable plumber we contacted in our own said that the More Than Plumbing technician was either incompetent or they are crooks. Not sure because you can’t get a hold of them. The independent plumber said it shouldn’t cost what they they saying we’re out of pocket charges.

Please anyone never give them any business. The absolute worse!

More Than Plumbing came to my house to fix my sump pump. When the technician arrived he told me that AHS will not replace my sump pump and I would have to pay out of pocket. The technician should have known that AHS would replace the sump pump unless you do an upgrade. I wouldn’t recommend this company due to the lack of knowledge the technician has about AHS policy.

Had a problem with toilet put in a claim with American Home Shield and they contracted out MORE THAN PLUMBING . The first appointment was set up and they were a no call no show they were sent out again today and once again they were a no call no show. I even talked to them this morning to confirm and they said they would be at my house between 8:00 - 12:00. I also called American Home Shield about them and that they should be taken off their list of contractors. Enough said after looking at their ratings no one should call them. How are they even still in business!

Don't call this company...ever. AHS assigned them to replace my leaking garbage disposal. They wanted an extra $125 because the discharge line did not match up. I complained so the two guys went out to the truck and brought in one that would work. I'm not even sure it is a new garbage disposal. The one guy installed it quickly. He did not change the ring in the sink. A few days later the black rubber at the top is pulling away at the top of the disposal. Now they will not return my calls. Who runs a business by never answering the phone?
