Mike and his crew were amazing! During these covid19 days employees are hard to find. Mike managed to put together a crew who were here for 3 hours installing new sod at our house. Mike then personally followed up by stopping by when the crew was done to personally inspect and reset my lawn sprinklers assuring full coverage. It looks amazing 😊. After 3 competitive bids Lucia Landscaping was the best value. Great job Lucia Landscaping!!!!!

The Lucia team did an incredible job on our Fall cleanup and leaf removal. Late in the season and still managed to help us out when other companies had said - no new clients. Really happy with the easy estimate and online payment. Lucia earned a repeat customer for sure. Thanks for the great work.

Excellent team to work with. The designer created images and worked with us to fine tune the plants, design and pricing. He was also involved to carefully place each plant and ensure the installation was done correctly.

A Word of Caution About Lucia Landscaping:
• They charge a lot more than others for the same work, even though they use the same crews as other companies.
• I’ve heard they don’t treat their workers very well, which could affect the quality of the service.
• You’ll get a different crew each time, so the service can be all over the place.
• I’ve seen some unprofessional behavior—the workers were laughing at customers, which is just disrespectful.
• Customer service was no help when I had a problem, and I felt like they didn’t care.

My advice:
There are definitely better, more honest companies out there that will treat you right. I just want to make sure you don’t end up in the same situation I did.

My husband and I are beyond happy with our backyard transformation by Kenito and the team at Lucia Landscaping! We have worked with a lot of contractors and by far this has been the best experience we have had! A full service company!

The design process with Kenito was fantastic, he has amazing taste and vision and understood what we needed and what our aesthetic was from the start! Kenito was innovative, patient and has a true passion for what he does! We felt he truly went above and beyond for us and the project.

The team that managed the project, led by Andrew, were top notch! Detail oriented and professional! The team was flexible and able to pivot when there were a couple of unexpected delays. The job site was left immaculate at the end of each day, which we really appreciated!

I recently switched to Lucia after a handful of experiences with other "landscaping" companies in the neighborhood. I cannot rave enough about the professionalism of everyone I have dealt with at Lucia. Sandy in the office is a total gem. Mike came out to do the estimates for me, he listened to everything I needed, captured all details and got pricing back almost immediately. When the time came for service, the person who completed organic fertilization and pest control for me was lovely. He was sure to avoid my vegetable garden and sprayed everything by hand which you really can't find anywhere!

My biggest project was installation of patio stones that I handmade and had a drawing of for my backyard. For this job, Conner and his crew came out. They were absolutely perfect for the job. Conner worked directly form the drawing. The team worked so well together and you could tell them took pride in their work. They worked neat and efficiently. I was able to ask questions about plants and be sure that anything that went into the ground went in the proper location and will thrive there. The investment was fair and so worth it to me. At the end of the day, I could tell the entire team was happy that I was happy, each of them cared and each of them worked so hard. Thanks team!!

Doug and his team were out today to repair a broken sprinkler line. Doug and his team not only repaired the broken water line, but went around to make sure all sprinkler heads were adjusted properly. I can’t say enough about the quality of their work and professionalism. They are highly recommended for any irrigation work.

Lucia has been taking care of my lawn for over 7 years. The team shows up each week on time, they survey the yard to make sure everything is good before mowing. They leave my yard and landscape better than how they found it. They are all true professionals in their field. A+++

the operator was courteous and professional. I had grandkids playing in the yard and he acknowledged the kids and told us he would come back. He returned two hours later checked to see if the were gone and did a great job doing our yard Thank you

I would HIGHLY recommend this company for your landscaping needs. I just had an above ground pool installed and the landscaping work they did around it was amazing! Filling in the trench around my pool and installing decorative rocks to give it that great finished look. Their pricing is very fair compared to other companies I got quotes from and they were very prompt on completing the project. Their employees are respectful and their attention to detail and cleanliness is top notch. 5 stars!

In October 2024, we hired Lucia Landscaping for grub control, core aeration, lawn overseeding, and—just once—shrub and hedge trimming.

That included our mature boxwoods, which we've personally trimmed and maintained for over 11 years without any issues.

Come spring 2025, the boxwoods looked rough: three rows in the front and one of two in the back showed signs of either overtrimming or boxwood blight (a serious fungal disease).

We had Kevin from Lucia/Lakeside Pro Services out, who inspected and said it could be either. If it’s blight, that raises concerns on our end about whether they had contaminated tools. If it had been trimmed too far back, those areas still hadn't recovered, and it wasn't our fault, but rather a professional landscaping company's.

I had waited until May 17th to call in, giving the boxwoods time to grow—some did, but patchy areas didn’t. After Kevin came out, I waited some time, then I reached out, and… nothing. No follow-up from them.

So I had to escalate to a manager to get someone to respond.

The “solution”? A referral to a salesperson, who promptly quoted me nearly $300 for two rounds of root injections. No trimming back of contaminated areas, or any other recommended courses of action. We've never dealt with this before, but everything I've looked up suggests that a root injection won't help cure boxwood blight. So we passed.

For reference, we paid nearly $725 for the original service, totaling almost $1,400 for all the work.

Lucia Landscaping was supposed to help elevate the look of our yard. Instead, I’m left with unhealthy shrubs, no accountability, and a sales pitch for an expensive “experiment.” Which I'm certain would not have worked.

Come July, all of our boxwoods have died, so we will be hiring a different landscaping company now to likely remove them, plant new shrubs, etc. What a waste of money.

Called to see about getting my lawn mowed. Appointment was set. The individual could not make it that day and indicated he would reschedule. Never heard a word back. Bad experience

By the way, as your team blows debris off the lawn and curb across the street, is it necessary to blow it over to my side before you clean it up? After you 'clean' up, I am still left with debris on my lawn being blown over the curb.

After lots of research we went with Lucia Landscaping and we’re glad we did! Most of our work was coordinated with Jacob Hinkle, who gave me multiple numbers to call for questions and always called me back if I needed him. Jacob is knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to be flexible on scheduling add even pricing. All the workers in office and out on the field are fantastic. The work is done efficiently and the results are great. We updates our gutter system, redid some flower beds, and did work on our trees, and next year we’ll do some more gardening work with them. We’re looking forward to more projects for our yard over the years. Thanks!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Either the crews lie to owner about when they were onsite or the owner doesn't care. I've been managing properties for 15 years and never had plow and salt problems like this.
