Alternative installed stone around our home and in two areas in our front yard. The guys were very polite with my requested changes and accommodated with no problem.

Great work! Had them do a fall clean up at my parents house and the place has never looked so great. It as professional and affordable. I would recommend this to anyone with lots of leaves and other yard debris.

Alternative installed a drainage for me in my back yard. I was told they would return the following day to put seed and top soil down. I looked later in the evening and it was completed the same day. I would highly recommend.

So very happy with Dusty Martin at alternative lawn care. Professional crew, Dusty and his crew listened to my needs for my front yard landscaping and came through big time. Definitely 5 star service and will no doubt be referring my friends and family to alternative lawn care. Thanks again for the great job.

Last year I used them but they mowed to fast and dug up the dirt around a tree. Later in the season they used dull blades and the lawn looked terrible. But the worst was them cutting down flowers with the weed wacker. I alerted them. Put steaks around the flowers and they still cut them down.

This year I switched companies, invested in new plants, put stakes all around just to protect them at the property line. But since my neighbor also contracted with them they did it again. No return communication, no apology, no offer to resolve. Small claims is my only option.

Worst communication of any lawn care company I've used.

Great service. A tree problem (2 dead) unresolved since April was solved in less than 2 weeks in late July by Dustin Martin, landscape supervisor for Alternative LawnCare. Great recommendation on 3 new trees that the skilled team installed within days. Also replaced new bushes from last year that never quite made it.

What a horrible experience!! Scheduled time for an in-person quote. No show/no call. I called an hour after the scheduled time to be told “he must be running behind and doesn’t carry his cell phone on jobs so we can’t contact him”. Decided to give them one more chance so rescheduled for the next day. Same story - no call/no show ...no way to run a business. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Promised to take care of leaves last year and never did also took 7 different phone calls to get my money back after they ran into my house and damaged my siding. Unfortunately, not a good experience.

I have to admit I’ve not had great experience with lawn care companies. However, when almost at wits end with trying to get issues taken care of with the yard, Dusty from Alternative Lawn Care came out to my home and discussed with me face to face the items that needed to be done. He communicates really well and gets back to you within a day if not sooner. I would highly recommend him and Alternative Lawn Care.

Yikes. What should have been a few days of work was never completed after 2 months. What was done was done incorrectly. Non existent communication, missed appointments, and dishonesty about amount of dirt delivered. Alternative claimed that they had paid deposits to subcontractors, but never actually did so, further delaying our job. Multiple neighbors had identical issues, and we've all moved on to someone able to complete the job.

My review would have been good in the beginning but as service went on it got worse. They continually bill be for service I cancelled! They say we mowed your yard and billed me for it, yet no one was here AND I had cancelled service to begin with and I am still arguing with them to fix this charge. Its been headache after headache with this company and I am cancelling with them even thou I have no contract they will I am sure try to show up here in the spring since phone calls and mail doesn't seem to work with them. Stay away from this company.

This is my first year with this company. They always send a bill after the work is done. I really do appreciate that. I appreciate them being on time every week. I can’t understand why in certain parts of my grass it looks light brown? Aeration treatment completed seeding I believe was completed. Thanks for your service over all.

This company does not focus on communication and their customer service needs improvement. While they were efficient in mowing in a timely manner, their ability to remember the correct equipment is lacking. On a few occasions, they forgot the equipment to mow our backyard and instead used a string trimmer and charged for a full mow. This made our yard uneven and bald in some areas. We installed cameras to check their work and the video was proof of a lack of quality.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Alternative Lawn Care solutions. Kind gentleman stopped by and cleared out the end of our driveway saving us a bunch of back pain and time while we were out there on corner of Barber Creek and 18 Mile.

Fiance ran in to grab some cash, coffee and snacks for you before you took off, but you finished up before she could make it back outside. Thanks again!

Good people working for a good business so just wanted to spread the good word!

Received top soil and hydroseed from them. They were very nice and responsive from the beginning. Following that, we actually referred our neighbors over to them as well. As soon as they collected money, became completely unresponsive. Tried to reach out to 3 contacts and have never heard back about our half grown in lawn. Would not recommend.

Someone came out and gave us a quote for weed control and lawn fertilization. Called a few days later to sign up. No one showed up after a few days. Called a week later and said someone would be out in 3-5 days. Never happened. Tried calling to cancel but it goes straight to a voicemail box that is full. Decided to go with another company that is more responsive.

I have asked for someone to call me 6 times via email/contact us page, to sort out some problems I had with them. In my last email to Amy, I requested a call from the owner. I did not receive a call but another email. While I have not received a call, I have kept receiving the overdue bill that is in dispute.

I am posting this here to see if I can get a call from them. Stay tuned...

Update 6/4/23 - still have not received a phone call or email but I still get a bill every month. Also, I took over my own fertilizer and weed control and have almost no crabgrass or weeds in my lawn. It is greener and thicker than when I used Alternative Lawncare.

Update 6/28/23 - Received another email asking for payment but have not received a phone call.

This was our first year using Alternative Lawn Care and we were very disappointed. Initially when they came out to tell us what we needed, the man was very nice and said with their help our yard could look great. So I prepaid for spring to fall for the fertilizer/weed control. The first time they came it went fine. But it was the follow up that was awful. I called at the 5.5 week point between treatments and was told they would be out there by the end of the week, they never showed. I then called and left a message reminding them we were due and I never heard back. I called back two days later and was told that they should be treating between 4-6 weeks. At this point I was at the 6 week time. Why push treatments out as far as possible??? I called today to get a refund and cancel any upcoming treatments as they had already gone passed the 6 week mark and was basically told I was in the wrong because they pay attention to the weather and done want to waste a treatment...the last two weeks weather has been PERFECT. No excuse. Now, if I was a company, especially in these times, I would do more than enough to make sure my clients are satisfied. I am NOT satisfied. I will not be returning to them. If you go with this company DON'T prepay, I feel you are put on the back burner since they already have your money. Its too bad because the man that came out initially was super nice, but the "help" I received from the lady was beyond poor.

I had them for fall clean up last year. Everything was fine. This year they came out Nov. 18th and put the leaves on the street. It has been 10 days now and 4 calls but the leaves are still where they left them. I told them today to get them picked up today or I will have someone else do the job. I told the receptionist that this is breach of contract and I won't pay them anything. Still no response.

We used Alternative Lawn Care for the first time this year for lawn mowing. We found them to be a great value, efficient and consistent. Any concerns were addressed quickly. We have hired them for leaf clean up and snow removal this winter as well. Amy, their awesome office staff, insured we have the package and plan we want, with our particular needs addressed. When we have spoken with their lawn team, these guys have been great and are concerned with doing the job the way the customer wants. In our experience, this company is one of the best in the business.
