I used this business for 2 jobs was told by Mark that I was not important enough for my last job so he referred another HVAC that has been nothing but a disaster. I would avoid this company like plague, especially if you will need to deal with Mark. Absolutely the worst customer service ever.

My A/C dies on the hottest day of the year. I called early and Chris was here in no-time. He’s clearly experienced, diagnosed the problem and had things up and running quickly. Very personable as well. Highly recommend! A+++

Our heat went out on a very cold January day. After calling 5 or 6 places that quoted us astronomically high “emergency” prices, we got in touch with Riccar. They had our heat up and running within 2 hours of our phone call, and at a fair price!

After my furnace failed they were able to come out right away and replace it. They were honest and had open book pricing that made it clear they weren't taking advantage of me. I would recommend Riccar Heating & Air Conditioning.

We had Riccar come in to quote a replacement A/C & Furnace, (in addition to CenterPoint & Standard H&C.) The home analysis to determine the size of the furnace & AC unit was accurately eye-balled, but not physically measured. The same size of furnace was recommended by all parties so we were comfortable trusting their recommendation.

The default furnace recommendation was the highest efficiency Rheem furnace they carried (which made sense both from a rebate & utility perspective.) It also happened that Rheem was the preferred brand of CenterPoint for installing & maintaining, so that was positive. They did not push for a high SEER A/C unit, which made sense given that we would never make that money back for the amount of time the A/C is actually running in MN.

A full replacement & install of a Rheem R96V & 13AJN A/C unit in August 2014 came to ~$6500. A team of workers + electrician showed up on the day of the install, removed the old units, installed the new units (with the necessary replacement ducting,) ran the new PVC exhaust pipes, wired everything up, and even worked in the existing air filter and old Aprilaire humidifier upon request. They finished and had everything cleaned up in a day.

The AC worked great immediately, and the furnace performed equally well later that fall. Writing this review 9 months later, the AC is working great and we've had no problems at all. The team at Riccar did a great job installing. The utility payments for gas & electricity have been significantly less than our 20 year old units were chewing through.

The only thing that could have been better was, after the install, explaining to me how the 2-stage / Variable fan worked with my existing thermostat (which they did not replace.) After reviewing my existing thermostat's documentation, I realized it was not a model that handled 2-stage furnaces. Fearing I wasn't going to get the full efficiency of the new unit, I bought a new thermostat and replaced the existing 4-wire thermostat cable with 7-wire. Once I got under the hood of the furnace and studied the manual a little more closely, I realized that they had already taken care of the issue. It turned out that they had set the DIP switches on the furnace motherboard to do a timer based switch from one stage to another, rather than relying on a signal from the thermostat. Ah well, at least now it's future proofed!

All in all, very good experience, and I'd recommend them to anyone.

I called Riccar because of their ratings. They did not disappoint me. Pat was quick to respond and diagnose the issue. The part had to be ordered, but he brought me space heaters to get me by. Great service!

We had two AC/furnace issues within one week that may or may not have been related. I appreciated that, both times, a service tech came to our house the same day I called. Over that one-week period, four different employees were at our house (two service techs and two installers). All were punctual and polite. In the end, the issues were resolved.

Good advice on what unit I needed for my house. Quick installation. Listened to my concerns. Needed to come back in order to fix a couple of things that weren't quite right (that's why 4 instead of 5). But they scheduled the extra visits quickly and did what needed to be done, which is very commendable. Very reputable company. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Oh never mind... 5 stars!

I was impressed with everyone I dealt with. In March, I called for a new A/C price quote. Greg came out. He gave me a quote that was $700 and $500 below my two other quotes. But he also suggested that I not get a new A/C which impressed me. He said if it were him, he would call the office when the weather got warm and get an A/C inspection for $149. I did just that. Chris came out yesterday and gave my A/C a "clean bill of health!" This is an honest business. They are not going to try to sell you anything you do not need. I plan to have them out again in November for a routine furnace inspection.

Bought my furance almost 10 years ago from here and this is the first time experience with the service side. My furnace went out after hours. I got in touch with there after hours service the gentleman that answered my call was very friendly and helpful. He knew what my problem from the information I gave him and walked me through the simple repair. I look forward to working with them again in my future needs and would recommend them to anyone.

Came in to replace a capacitor for my a/c unit. Everyone was very friendly. They tested my old one just to make sure it was the issue. They also explained the difference between the two, so I could install the new one correctly. After installing, the unit fired right up! Thank you!

Riccar is a Very professional company from sales to installation. They all arrived to my house on time plus had the best price. I received 5 quotes from various manufacturers hvac contractors. We chose the Rheem Prestige 96% Furnace with the Ra13 Classic A.C. The furnace is very quiet and has helped equalize the temperature to within 2 degrees variation on floors of my multi level home. They also installed a Aprilaire humidifier. The installation they did was top notch I honestly couldn't be more satisfied!

I bought a condenser fan motor and capacitor from from Riccar this morning and, not knowing what I was doing, had some difficulties with the wiring. I called Riccar three times and they were amazingly helpful. So nice, so kind and so patient. It really was a joy to deal with everyone there. I felt like a valued customer and a real person, and not just a job to the employees. Needless to say, they have earned my ongoing business.

Just had my AC fixed. Tech was very experienced, friendly and professional. Faster on site service and I got a next day appointment in the busy season. Less expensive than Dean's and I didnt get awkwardly hounded for extras for 20 minutes. They just gained a new customer.

Riccar did a great job replacing my old HVAC system. Aaron and his team are knowledgeable, friendly and got the job done fast while providing great customer service.

Chris from Riccar came out and diagnosed the issue with our air exchanger. Although he had to come back the next day to replace the part he was very accommodating to when I was available. He did an excellent job explaining everything and made other suggestions/observations regarding our HVAC system. I was very impressed and will definitely use them again in the future.

Excellent ! My furnace quit in the middle of the night, I knew what part I needed. I drove over to Riccar and they had the part, gave me some helpful information and by 7:45 am. I had heat again! I’ve used their services in the past and always been impressed. I can highly recommend them. They are great!

I couldn't be more pleased with service we received for the replacement of our central air conditioner. The existing air conditioner was over 30 years old and there were challenges in getting the evaporator coil placed properly in the plenum. Sam did a phenomenal job of working through the challenges of the installation. When they were finished with the installation, Sam walked me through all that I needed to know about the new system and how to register it for the warranty. They cleaned up so well you wouldn't have known anything was ever even done. Aaron did a great job of communicating with us to get the job quoted and get it scheduled as well. All in all one of the best experiences I've ever had with a professional contractor. A+++
