We had a deck reconstruct and expansion. The final product was great. We did have an event deadline, which they barely met, and it would have been preferred to have more time to set up. Some of that was due to circumstances beyond their control, however. But in the end, we were very happy with the quality of the work and would use them again.

Massioglia Contracting was very fair in their pricing, given the high market costs since Covid, when many contractors charge exorbitant rates. Their craftmanship met our expectations and they maintained good communication. We are very happy with the work done and recommend Massioglia Contracting. We intend to use them for future projects.

Replaced an old deck and Matt responded quickly with an accurate estimate of job. He kept me informed during the project, which is rare these days, and completed it on time. Would definitely recommend Massoglia!

We hired Massoglia for part of our kitchen remodel. We hired him to remove and texture the popcorn ceiling, patching drywall, and tile the backsplash. The subcontractors Matt used were professional and did great work. Matt responded right away with any questions or issues. We would hire again.

Matt has worked for me on a number of projects ~ most recently beautiful flooring for my entire second level. He did a spectacular job, the flooring looks impeccable. And it was great to have someone in my home that was so respectful and trusting. I highly recommend him for whatever project you're needing ~ I've seen his work on building and repairing decks, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, and of course flooring.

I had Massoglia Contracting come in and install a bathroom fan and a storm door and do some minor fixes to a wall. They helped me choose a proper fan, and it works well. The storm door looks really good on the front of my older house.

Matt combined two smaller rooms into a larger master bedroom and also added a bathroom and walk in closet. He did great work at a reasonable price. I would use him again and he was very easy to work with.

In March 2024 after the last snowstorm, we had an emergency repair needed on our inoperable garage door at our home in Edina. Matt responded immediately the day after the event. Within two hours he had restored the door frame to its correct position, had carefully aligned it and added needed support studs. After his careful work, the door operated more smoothly than before the mishap and was ready for cosmetic repairs which I performed. Matt worked skillfully and rapidly with an excellent outcome. I have great confidence in him and his work.

We hired Matt to remove a load bearing wall in our living room. He was easy to work with and was supportive of the way we wanted the job done. It ended up costing about double the initial estimate, mostly due to HVAC being found in the wall. Disappointing that this wasn’t discovered until after demolition. We didn’t have access to our original house plans but were hoping the hired engineer would have provided more insight.

Communication was good. There were a couple times where contractors showed up to our house without notice, but this was understandable due to the scope of the project. Matt handled the communication with the city to get all the necessary permits which was very helpful.

In the end we were satisfied with the results and would recommend Matt for future projects.

Ah, there I was. Living the pandemic life and wanting to finally finish our basement. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be for a few more years. You see, it seems like a lot of contractors were happy to overcharge for finishing a basement, no matter how simple. Some, like me, would say it was almost comical at how much they wanted to charge for what I would consider to be a basic basement finish project.

Oh, but alas, our hero Matt and team arrived just in time. Did they do it for free? Of course not, that would be silly. What I can say is that they were reasonable. All of the budgeting was based on setting realistic expectations, which took place over many, many, many phone calls; that’s a good thing. Matt and team were happy to answer my never ending series of questions. Questions lead to answers, which lead to determining exactly what you want and what you don’t want. Coincidentally, this also aligns with what Matt and team would sign up for, who knew?

Aside from some minor materials setbacks that cannot be pinned on Matt (looking at you Home Depot), all went according to plan. Even when there was a hiccup or if something had to be corrected, they were taken care of in a timely manner to address my concerns. Our project was on time and on budget, can’t ask for much more than that can you?

To make a long story longer, if you’re looking for someone to help with your renovation or general project needs, you can’t go wrong with Matt and team.

Over the last year Massoglia Contracting oversaw a full home renovation project for us. Kitchen, bath, flooring, drywall, painting; Matt and his crew went above and beyond.
