Just had American Sewer work on my main line in MPLS. They came out and did a job that 2 other companies could not execute. The other 2 companies suggested I dig the line and replace 10 feet of pipe. Thankfully I did not listen and got a 3rd opinion. American diagnosed the problem as very thick tree roots which were almost all the way to the cities line. After 8 hours of work American was able to get all the roots out and send me a video of my line, this saved me thousands of dollars. I will continue to call upon American in the future.

Scheduler was extremely professional, friendly, and transparent about pricing. Adam and Holy did the job, they were informative, methodical, precise, and fun to be around. I would recommend this business for any and all sewer/drain needs.

I have a drainage clogged and therefore a flooded basement. Company R initially came the next day, clear the clog, did unnecessary work, and charged me $$$. Then they came back next day to do the camera video. Then they give me an invoice of $$$$ that I need to fix the bellied pipe, and dig out cement, and said highly recommend to do it asap to avoid flooding again. I sent this video to another company (M) they gave me a quote less than the first company but still a lot. Here American Sewer came in, as recommended by the Weld & Son Plumber, then I gave it a try. The owner Jonathan was so great, He said from the video, the drainage cleaning was not even done properly! I said I just had it done and then they came take the video. He said the video was taken while there is water running as well, so it looks like the issue is much bigger than it was. So I trusted the owner and then his staff Donald to come, clear the clog again (one week after another company) and showed me the video, and what a great difference it makes! I watched the video and I also didn't see any more bellied pipe that needs to be fixed. Jonathan basically just saved me $$$$ and digging out the cement, when it's not necessary work. All of the other companies either said "no time", "need to come out to estimate" and minimum charge a bunch, or having customer service that only sets up appointment but didn't answer any of your questions, or just simply try to rip you off with things you dont' need, or did not warn you things you need. American Sewer, was the best company so far - I have contacted literally at least 5 to 10 other companies because of the flood. American Sewer are professional, great customer service, does job to the fine detail. I would highly recommended them! Many thanks Jonathan.

I would definitely recommend American Sewer for any type of drain or sewer work. I called that day as we had a blocked sewer and hoped to get help that day. Adam showed up even though he had already put in a full day on other jobs. He worked from 6pm until after 10pm. I was so impressed. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, professional, and fixed our problems. No wonder other plumbers recommend them.

We left a message late in the evening, and received a call early the next morning. The plumber arrived within a 3 hour time frame, and fixed the drain within an hour. He was pleasant and professional, and he cleaned everything up before he left. It was a positive experience.

I cannot say enough good things about American Sewer. They offered incredible customer service, a fair price, and prompt work. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a professional plumbing service at a fair price.

I needed an emergency plumber the other night and came across this company on google. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome and response. The technician Donald arrived very quickly and was extremely friendly. I have used another company in the past, which was also good, but I get a better feeling supporting a smaller local company. Donald provided excellent service and answers to all of my questions. He went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did he fix my issue, he took the time to go outside, with special tools, and locate my main area of concern for a future repair. OUTSTANDING! The owner (I believe) Jonathan contacted me the next day for a small missed check over from that night, and made sure everything went well. Superb! I look forward to work with this company for the repair needed, and in a (hopefully not) another drain issue, if one should arise.

Such a rare thing it is these days, to find an honest man, an honest business...something and someone you can trust. We had a what seemed to be a reputable sewer company come out for a cleaning and video of our sewer line, and they were a scam. They were cheap too, which sounded good...and indeed it was, too good to be true. They didn’t even fully clean out the line, then provided us a few photos of what appeared to be the dirtiest portions of the line, and then told us we needed to do a replacement of a 10 foot section of the line at the street, along with a quote of $8500. We decided to get a second opinion, and were referred to American Sewer. On the same day, the last day of our inspection period, Ben came out and thoroughly cleaned our line and discovered that there were no such issues, and provided us with a quality video we could provide to the buyers. We just saved ourselves $8500...that is, American Sewer just saved us that money, and we are forever grateful for them. Can’t recommend them enough for an honest opinion and a quality job. I had another company (chain) come out and quote me more than 10x the cost I paid today with American Sewer to fix a problem. John came, listened to my issue, told me his plan to fix it, and was done in 15 minutes (including testing and showing me the results). He was happy to answer a few plumbing/old house questions, and a super nice guy. This is clearly a company that comes and wants to fix the problem, and is reasonably priced. I also chose them because of the super nice lady answering the phone when I called for an unrelated emergency back up. American sewer is great!

One of my drain lines needed to be partially dug up and replaced. It was a small job, but it needed to be done in a timely manner. This is the only company I would ever use and I would highly recommend anyone to use them. They're reliable affordable, and really know what they're doing and do a great job.

Great Service! Hard workers! Great people! Overall a great experience with American Sewer. Donald came for an inspection and looked over the damage, such a friendly guy! Dave is who came to repair and wow is he a hard, determined and great worker. Got the job done which is a plus but he was very humble and honest as well. We didn’t personally meet Johnathan but he was also a nice, caring and a considerate guy. Very honest people and they helped us save time & money. I will definitely save their number!

John and Dave were wonderful. Less than a week after moving into a house we purchased, my boyfriend and I noticed some backup happening in the basement. Several companies came out to try to assess the problem and it wasn’t until a camera was put down there that we discovered that our pipes were completely full of ROCKS! The plumber that discovered them recommended American Sewer. We called them and another company and the other company told us they didn’t even have the capacity or know how to solve the issue, but American Sewer dealt with this before an assured us that they could do it. Their pricing was fair and they were honest, which is something rare to come by I feel like. It took two separate days to get the rocks out by accessing a pipe on the inside and then the outside. They recommended a company to dig up the pipe and they were also honest and kind, sympathetic to our situation. After the second day doing the job, Dave showed me his camera and they successfully got all the rocks out. I was in disbelief as this was an issue we were dealing with for months! I’m so grateful to both John and Dave and they will forever have our business. If you’re looking into this company, USE THEM! You will not regret it!

2022- This Company is the best! I own an old house with poor drain plumbing. 3 Adult Girls with long hair. We call at least once a year for our bathtub drain. And yes we TRY to keep the hair from going down the drain. Sometimes kitchen sink, bathroom sink or main drain need to be cleared. They are always right on it. Quick professional and friendly. They do match jobs for previous clients. Adam has been here many times and is the best! It's nice to know the person coming into your house.

2018-They were great!
We were told our pipes were shifting/collapsing by others and could do nothing but replace pipe and connection back to street, even with "camera" inspection. $7k. Said our pipes were fine but connection to city was the problem. City disagreed.
No resolution.
We have been renting machine from hardware store periodically for years to keep drain flowing and everything had been fine.
Recently neighbours across street had work done. Our basement backed up suddenly. We were unable to root through. We hired American to come fix the pipes once and for all. They found it was just a big root and drilled through it. We have been drilling a quarter size hole through the root, while they were the only competent company to drill through the actual size of my pipe.

The city should be redoing our street soon I hope, and they will fix any root issues. Donald saved a single parent of 2 teens with one bathroom thousands of dollars. Thank you so much. These guys do what it takes.

Friendly staff, great work. Our kitchen sink had backed up, and we had initially called a local plumber. And THEY asked to call American Sewer. It was already noon on a Friday and they were still able to get us in at the last minute for same day service. This saved us money as weekend rates are higher (which they really didn’t need to do as they would have gotten more money from us the next day).

The work performed was top notch and they even cleaned up the area once they were done. Also, once they opened up the pipe, they found that the clog was just in the u-pipe, but they still went ahead and used the augur to make sure there were no clogs down the drain (about 25 ft). All this was done in less than an hour, and the technician took extra care not to make a mess. Technician was friendly and answered all our questions.

The receptionist was friendly and kept me posted on schedule and what time the technician would be at the house. Text notifications when they are on the way so you know to expect them.

I will be sure to use this company going forward.

American Sewer is amazing! We had water backing up in our basement floor drain last weekend and we were panicked because we have three little kids. American Sewer was the only company we called that could get out on the weekend, and Moses headed our way almost immediately after we called, fitting our emergency in between a softball game and church. Thank you, thank you, we are so grateful you were able to help us so we could shower and flush toilets again!

I have used American Sewer a few times and they have been great. Reasonable price and fixed the drains needed! They were able to come within 2 days of me calling to set up an appointment. Will continue to use them for clogged drains!
