I decided to give Green Horizons a try this year and went with the full fertilization service, the gutter cleaning and the full aeration/seeding/top soil. That is a lot of money all at once.
I have been nothing but disappointed. Absolutely no communication, service unfinished, no show for weeks after initial service scheduled.
    They just don’t care.
I knew their services were not the cheapest but it seemed like it would be a hands-off experience where I wouldn’t have to worry about anything. I spent so much time on the phone with them complaining because it was the only way to get their attention.
    I am done.

I have a contract with Green Horizons for snow removal. Obviously, I am not getting my money’s worth since we had such a mild winter. All the more reason to think that the snow removal from last week would have been stellar.
Not the case at all. When the driveway was “cleared” on March 25, 2024, big chunks were left behind on the driveway as well as at the curb.
On March 26th, the truck ran through the grass on the side of the driveway, taking it down to dirt and also snapped the snow marker in half at the bottom corner of the driveway. There are snow markers along the sides of the driveway, so I don’t understand how or why the truck drove onto the grass..??
I had attempted to request reimbursement for this month’s fee, however, the “Customer Service” email address on their website is not complete so it would not go through. Here are the pictures. NO STARS, but you can’t post a review unless you give at least one star.

We hired Green Horizons over the late summer/early fall for mowing and gardening services. We also ordered fall aeration services that I requested in the notes to not be done until September as I ordered in August. They ignored the instructions and completed the aeration in August without notice.

During the last session of gardening services they cut down all of the bushes and perennials in our yard. I emailed and to ask what happened and didn't receive a response. Two weeks later I followed up to ask again and they responded that they would refund the gardening services. It's been a month since they promised a refund and we have not received any money back. I even followed up again a few weeks ago to ask about it to no response. The destruction of property was unacceptable. The communication from customer service has been terrible. Furthermore, the proposed solution to refund the gardening services was never completed and in my opinion, wasn't reasonable to begin with. The gardening service cost me less than $100 but the destruction of property will cost me much more than that to fix.

We were surprised and very pleased at how quickly our inquiries were answered. And, our service began the day after we accepted the estimate. We look forward to future services from Green Horizons!

I've used this company for many years at two different houses. I use them for mowing, aeration, clean up, gutters, and dirt/seeding. I've been incredibly happy with their services!

Ordered their "garden major" service which is weeding 2 hrs of a garden. Guess what they did for my $300? Weed wacked everything! For $300 I could of bought a weedwacker myself and did that!! I ordered this service because I have a huge garden that goes across the span of my backyard, I didn't expect them to do all of it, I just wanted a good job done! ALL the weeds grew back in less than 2 weeks. So I am doing the job myself now. Never going to hire this company for any job ever. I have multiple disabilities so the fact that I have to do it myself and redo it stinks but I can't rely on them. I rely on Anderson Lawn for cutting my grass and doing my snow. They do a good job and never cut corners.

Warning: Do Not Trust This Company

I strongly advise against using this company. From my experience, integrity and values are clearly not part of their business model. I was quoted $3,600 for a job, but ended up paying nearly $6,000—and the work was still incomplete.

I even submitted photo evidence showing that the job wasn’t finished as agreed. The manager told me they’d complete the work if I paid half the remaining balance. I did. Then they changed their stance and refused to come out unless I paid them for the "extra work". This is clearly a 2025 type service, you know the kind that makes you miss the old days...

My conversation with the billing department was frustrating and unproductive—it only added to my disappointment. Bottom line: they are not people of their word, and I regret trusting them. Unless you have money to burn stay away from them.

Such an easy company to work with. I love the beginning of season opportunity to sign up for all the services and get a discount. And they do really great work.

Great communication and easy service setup. They have been reliable for my weekly mowing. Most likely will use them again next summer!

I have had GH cut my grass weekly for several years. I must be first on the Monday list. They arrive on the dot and once when rain was threatening they arrived 20 minutes early. I was glad to see them. They are quite quick, do an excellent job and leave no debris behind. I get a bit of a discount by prepaying for the season. A good value.

Green Horizons did a great job with the fall cleanup of my big yard! What would have taken me days to complete was done in less than 2 hours! Thank you GH crew.

They came for a fall clean up of my neighbor's yard and blew a ton of leaves into my yard which I had just cleaned. It was definitely them as I could hear the leaves hitting my house. This is considered Private Nuisance (Minnesota Statute § 561.01). What kind of business does that?

This company does fall cleanup for some of my neighbors. Their practice is to blow all the leaves into a pile at the edge of the street, then a day or 2 or 3 later they are removed. But until they are removed, the leaves blow into the street and then into everyone else's yards!! It's very disrespectful to those who have already cleaned up their yards. GH, are you listening??

This is the first time we have ever used a leaf removal service, and we couldn't be happier. The two person crew did in one hour what would have taken me days. They got the leaves off the deck, the patio and the rock borders. There was no leaf left behind!

Our leaf removal guys from Green Horizons are awesome. They fully remove leaves in a highly efficient manner and they are always polite, kind and thorough. Wonderful annual (fall) leaf removal and pick up service. Thank you.

Need a thorough fall cleanup? Call Green Horizons! They do an excellent job, and for the fall cleanup, they come out twice to get rid of fallen leaves and mow the lawn.

    Spendy? Yes, but worth it.

Green horizon has been providing leaf/lawn clean up services for us for about 3 years. I felt that they did good work for good price. Today was the first time we used them four different services which included sod placement. This was the first time I’ve had a few hiccups. One, they did not notify me of Their planned arrival to do the work so I had nothing marked Off in the yard. Also, there was evidence that the employees took breaks on the yard to eat as we had orange peels in our front yard, which would have been nice if they had picked them up as a matter of respect. Despite that the work was done well, and they completed the job in a very timely manner! Just would have wished for a heads up and a little bit more respect for our property while they were on break.

My employer gifted me a fall leaf cleanup from Green Horizons. I've been somewhat satisfied with their service in the past, but definitely not now. They blowed most of the leaves from my yard, though they only picked up about half of the small sticks that fall from my trees. They blew the leaves into a pile in my front yard on Tuesday, and now it's Friday and the pile remains there. Both myself and my employer repeatedly contacted this company, and they always claimed that collecting the pile was a priority. Yet the pile remains. The leafpile is an eyesore, it violates the city code, and on the next windy day it'll blow all over the street. This is unacceptable and ridiculous considering that my employer paid $400 for this service. Even if the leaf vacuum truck miraculously showed up right now, I wouldn't change this rating.

Do not hire this company. Dissuade everyone you know from hiring this company. Pay a kid $100 instead and they'll do a better job.

Easy to work with. Our yard is looking much better. Great customer service. Crew was here for aeration and seed and Green Horizons was able to accommodate my last-minute request in the same visit to fill a hole left by a tree stump removal.

Have a double lot and have lawn mowed weekly. The workers are quick, efficient, and change mow pattern weekly. Have been using Green Horizon for 3-4 seasons and find them very reasonable. Minor complaint is they mow so quickly they sometimes, but not always, miss small sections. Use for fall clean-up also. Have recommended to friends.

We've been using Green Horizons for our end-of-year fall clean-up for 3 years, and it's been worth every penny! There's truly no better feeling than returning home after a long day to find your lawn perfectly manicured and free of leaves! Their service is quick and efficient, and we couldn't be happier with the results!
