We used this company and they did a great job. They explained the process, showed us how much they removed from our vents and took before and after photos.Pricing was very resonable

I committed clearly to a $250 only service in writing (through messenger). I wasn’t home when they did the service and they added on multiple services without quoting my spouse the additional fees. $850 was charged! When I contacted the FB scheduler about it (she’s the one who quoted me $250 including taxes, and who I told I’d have $250 for the project) she said she’d get back to me and then she blocked me. I called the owner who generously offered a refund check since there was a clear misunderstanding and we weren’t happy about the service. I said I don’t need a full refund- just a fair refund of what was beyond the agreement. He said he’d send a check. Nothing for a week. I followed up. He said he’d send it again. A week later, nothing. I called again and he said he’d drop it off. Nothing. Finally a month later after I followed up again and he texted and said he’d send it electronically. The next morning $100 was sent. I reached out since this is considerably less than I clearly expected from our text and phone conversations. He said “I said I’d give you a refund, I never said how much of a refund…”. Seriously?! The whole experience felt unsettling, unethical and mentally draining. I tried to negotiate with him and come to a fair arrangement but he was unwilling and ultimately didn’t respond to my last attempt to reach out before posting this review. I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve learned my lesson to check the BBB for reviews or get referrals from friends who’ve personally can vouch for a company.

Jay and Trent did a wonderful job in explaining process and even showed how much crud there was. They were efficient, even made sure all vents were secured. They even made my dog Betty feel comfortable with them being there before they started.

Jay and Adam were very professional, kind, and efficient. Although the Total paid was significantly more than originally quoted Jay explained everything before starting and made sure we understood and accepted the price change prior to starting the job!

    They did amazing! Thanks guys!

I highly recommend this company! They quoted me a price and stuck with it. When Trent and Stan came they went right to work. Trent also said I'm not going to get you to pay more then you want. Not going to sell you on stuff you don't need. Which is exactly how it went. I told him what we wanted to pay, what the quote was and stuck to it. All and all I am happy and pleased with both Trent and Stan. They are very professional and will definitely come back to this company again!

I saw a post on my Facebook neighborhood group in which someone said they were starting a new duct cleaning business and had a special. I asked them to PM me. Almost instantly, someone messaged me asking the square footage of my house to give me a quote. I was quoted $199. When the person came I was impressed by the fancy van considering it was a new company. I mentioned this and the guy looked at me like I was nuts. He said it's not a new company. It's my friend's company and it's been around for years. I went back and messaged the guy on Facebook who had pm'd me and he acted like he had no idea why I thought it was a new company. The technician did clean my vents but he explained that it was going to cost much more money, more than double what was quoted because I have two mains, not one and he had to cut a hole in one and he had to clean the wires in my heater. Afterwards I messaged the company directly through Facebook. The owner called immediately and apologized. He threatened to fire the person who had pm'd me on Facebook. I said please don't do that but give him a warning about how he acquires clients. The owner seemed genuine and offered a partial refund. At first I said that wasn't necessary but then I agreed to a partial refund because it did seem shady that it cost more than twice as much and that they weren't a new company like they had advertised on Facebook. The FB post about the new company, by the way, had already been taken down. The check never came. I have contacted the owner twice since then because now I am determined to get that refund... Especially after reading reviews that other people had the same experience as me. I decided that before editing my review (which had been good because I had been impressed after talking to the owner), I would contact him one more time and say I didn't get the check. He replied saying that I'm extorting him. He said he had read other reviews I had left and could tell that this was my practice of writing a review and then extorting the company. Seriously?!?! He said he has a screenshot of our conversations and he will post them if I change my review. Go ahead. Post any of our conversation, but please stop taking advantage of people.

I responded to a special for $249. The tech did a full inspection and showed me my dryer vent and blower motor needed to be cleaned , also my air exchange,i skipped on the air exchange which he ended up giving me that for free and they even included a 5year warranty. The technician didn't use pressure sales he just told me his recommendations and let me and my wife decide. I will recommend them to family and friends and I didn't have to pay until I was completely satisfied, in which i was!

Also i looked them up and found the license# 2147483647
It was rather easy to locate, just go to secretary of state and you can locate it, it's public information.

All I can say is wow! If I could give 100 Stars I definitely would. I've been searching for years for a solid air duct cleaning professional that not only does the job correctly instead of walking in with a Shop-Vac but doesn't gouge you for an arm and a leg and I'm not one for being cheap because in this day and age you get what you pay for. But these guys I feel definitely took care of me on the price and the work. I cannot be more happier! The amount of stuff that they pulled out of my air ducts probably been in there for 20 years and I've had two different companies the past 10 years come and do their sweep which did not show me the job they or make me feel safe and comfortable as I had individuals in my home from a business that I had no idea who they were from the jump and was able to leave my house running errand while I left him there to do the job! So a big shout out to the crew at essential clean. I will definitely recommend you to my neighbors and extended family and you've got my business for life.... Stay clean my friends. Happy home is a clean home!

We used Essential Clean for air duct cleaning… had not had this done since our house was built in 1983…. They did an excellent job of a very dirty system, explained the steps, and were entirely professional. I highly recommend this firm.

Great experience from start to finish! Fully explained all add on services before starting so I could choose what I wanted for my home. The 5 year warranty garantees a free cleaning within 5 years so it's like cutting the price in half! Thank to our technician Jay- professional, honest, and an absolutely thorough job!

Essential Clean was referred to me by a coworker who gave me one of their business cards, I called and set up my appointment with Jay, directly, and he was very polite, professional, and accommodating. My technician was Trent, and I was blown away at his knowledge of everything HVAC(which he credits his friend & mentorJay for)Trent was very approachable, relatable, and his sarcastic styke of humor had me laughing to the point of tears multiple times. The additional work did add on the my Initial quote of $249.99, but Trent was very fair on pricing and even looked up competitor prices for an accurate comparison that I could see with my own 2 eyes. It was obvious that Trent could sense money was tight for me during our conversation regarding the inspection results. So, he called up to the office, spoke with Jay, and got his approval to let me post date a check for the additional services. Thank God they were able to work with me because i believe that Trents thorough inspection of my blower motor and his recommendations for preventative maintenance and a thorough cleaning of my blower motor may have saved me from potentially spending 1,000.00 or more to relpace it. Thank you so much, Jay and Trent! I will be referring Essential Clean to everyone I know

I can't say thank you enough to Essential Clean MN. I hired them for a air duct cleaning and Jay and Trent came out and arrived on time. They gave me an upfront quote on everything that needed to be done. They provided exceptional service and went above and beyond.

I had a minor issue as things happen and Jay came out to the house at midnight and worked tirelessly to get it resolved so that we wouldn't be without heat. He has tremendous integrity and was able to resolve the issue.

Not only are they great at what they do but they are also fun to work with but kind people as well which always makes for a more positive experience.

Thank you Jay and Trent! 5 stars!

I don't usually post reviews for any businesses but I felt compelled to do so for these guys. I recently purchased a home that was built in 1947 and although it has had a furnace upgrade, all of the tin ducting was original and by the amount of crap that was removed by these guys it had never been previously cleaned. Their flyer stated I could get my ducts cleaned for $249 which I was sceptical about because I know a small handful of home owners that have had similar services done and paid close to $2000 when it was all said and done. After having everything both my Essential Clean tech and I agreed on which included treating for the mold we found they were able to complete the job for a very reasonable price. I encourage anyone in the twin cities needing duct cleaning to give these guys a shot.
Oh! I almost forgot! They repaired my dryer vent for me as well!

Absolutely fantastic service from Essential Clean! From start to finish, they made the whole process easy and stress-free. I scheduled an appointment, and they arrived right on time with all the necessary equipment. Their technicians were professional, polite, and really took the time to explain what they’d be doing.

After the cleaning, I could genuinely feel the difference—my air felt fresher, and even my allergies seemed less intense! They even showed me before-and-after photos of my ducts, and I was shocked at how much dust and debris they cleared out. The team was efficient, respectful of my home, and left everything neat and tidy. I can’t recommend Essential Clean enough if you’re looking to improve your air quality and breathe easier! Five stars, easily.

Essential Cleans owner Jay is a super honest, great guy that has a ton of enthusiasm for their work. Better yet, their prices are the best I’ve seen in the twin cities, I’m switching over from being a long time Genz Ryan customer.

I replied to an ad for their $199 special that includes cleaning all the vents and return vents. The tech got here and told me it will cost $450 because they have to open an access panel, clean out a blow motor, and clean out the return. I told him that was not the agreement and he said that it is actually a very common misunderstanding and their package does not include any of those up charges. (If there was that much misunderstanding then why have such a deceiving ad?). He also mentioned giving a second cleaning for free but when we went to sign the paperwork it shows the offer ends that very same day. My wife noticed it and brought it up. He pretended that it was a mistake and changed the date.
They also charge "tax" above and beyond their price they charge you, even though their ad specifically states that the amount includes everything. He told my wife that if she doesn't pay for it then he has to, trying to guilt my wife. She eventually paid to get him out of the house.
This company is as tacky as can be. Their objective is to get in your door with a cheap rate then up charge for everything regardless of what their ad states. Do not use them. If I can give zero star I would.

    *Update*
The owner reached out to me and I had considered speaking with him. But my wife told me that the tech did not clean all the vents. We have cameras throughout our home, and it showed him only doing the main ones you can see. He didn't make any attempt to look for the other vents. He even skipped the ones we specifically pointed out because they were blocked by furniture. In fact, he made attempts to clean the return vents, but the vents where air blows out of, he brings along a portable spray container and just spray the vent cover to make it look like he did it. So you are paying for full cleaning but getting half your vents cleaned.
They also use a shop vac to vacuum your vents, unlike other companies where they have a large vacuum attached to a commercial suction machine that sucks everything out. Any cleaning done by their brush did not get vacuumed out because there is nothing sucking those dust out.
I also took a look at the "access panel". When he originally told me he was going to charge me an extra $50 he showed me clean access panels that required buying additional parts. I had to pay extra for "parts." All he did was cut out a square piece about 4 x 4 inches, then taped that same piece back with aluminum foil tape. You cannot be any more unethical than this.
