I hired Gruber’s for a 2 ton mini-split heat pump installation. Probably the best experience with a contractor I’ve had to date. Mike took the time to help me understand my options on the work that needed to be done at the estimate, and again at installation. He and his employees were professional and always on time, and the project went smoothly. My garage is incredibly cool, dry, and really whips the llamas ash cuz no review you pay for is gonna say that last part. Glad I hired Gruber! You should!

Got a lot of quotes to update our entire residential heating and cooling system and was really interested in an air source heat pump to provide both.

Mike was the only one who obviously knew what he was talking about (not a tech trying to be a salesman as other companies' reps were...with outrageous "big guy" price quotes) and seemed genuinely happy to discuss options and answer questions.

I'm a "detail" guy and Mike obviously is as well. Even after the prompt installation, he's been happy to follow up on little questions after the fact.

As newer homeowners, we were a bit overwhelmed with all of the projects and repairs we needed to get done before winter. I was relieved when I spoke with Mike and he took his time to hear my desires for a multi-zone, heating and cooling mini-split system. He explained everything really well from the system specs and the install process to the efficiency ratings and the financial incentives. He was so professional and took great care in figuring out the right units and measurements and gave us a very detailed quote. We got a couple quotes, but it was an easy decision to go with Grubers as Mike was so responsive and thorough. He honored his word for timing and cost. The install was very well done, including the electrical work that he subcontracted. He submitted the rebate forms in a timely manner. Everything was as it should be from start-to-finish. Now we’re warm and cozy and have peace of mind for our home heating and cooling for years to come. We had some other HVAC work done by one of the big conglomerate service companies around the twin cities. Take my word for it, do not go with one of those companies, even if it’s a cheaper quote. It’s not worth the headache of poor quality work and someone trying to sell you on something you don’t need or a service plan. Mike takes pride in his work and it shows. He will be first call for any/all HVAC related needs moving forward.
