Matt Peterson is one of the most trustworthy contacts in the industry. I constantly trust him to take great care of friends, family, and my clients. If you need exterior work in the twin cities Matt is your guy!
Your storm damage experts chalk absolutely nothing on roofs and tell homeowners they have hail damage pretty misleading and grimme
This company cold called me asking to inspect my roof due to recent storm damage in the area (there hadn't been any). I agreed. John Butler arrived with a younger man who he referred to as his son. He sent his son up on my roof. John started showing me his state contractor license and I asked if his son was certified in inspecting roofs. John said he certified him himself. I asked his son was certified by ASHI, NAHI or any other inspection association or had any formal education in inspecting roofs. He said he did not. I told him to get his son off my roof. John said, "You're an axxhole". At this point I asked them both to leave my property. It's extremely unprofessional to cold call people then send an "inspector" with no inspection credentials onto a potential client's roof to inspect it for hail damage. Calling someone an axxhole just pushes it over the top. I'd never use this company.
I had new shingles installed on my roof. The roof work was mostly good, except one vent was installed incorrectly and caused damage to plumbing. One venting stack was pushed down too far and caused the shower drain to become separated and flooding resulted in my basement. I hired a plumber to repair the damage. This was before I was aware of the cause of the flooding. The plumber finished his work and said the venting stack had risen six inches from the vent cover. This confirmed the stack had contact with the venting tube leading to the basement, pushing it down. I spent nearly $1,000 to repair plumbing and damaged ceiling. The owner of Pro-Tech Exteriors, Tom Belting, contacted me. He apologized for the damage and reimbursed me for all costs I incurred for repairs. I was impressed with his kindness and concern.
If I could give this company a negative I would. My mother along with quite a few residents in Rice Lake Wisconsin used this company for roof repairs after weather damage this fall. Tom the owner personally worked with my mother knowing she and a lot of the residents where she lives are elderly on fixed incomes telling then he would help them and her personally he would take care of her deductible. Come to the end and he never provided her with a full written estimate and then demanded the 250 deductible that he told her she wouldn't have to worry about. Per speaking with other residents who used this company they had the same issues with this company. I wouldn't recommend them for any work and will be filing a complaint with the attorney General in Minnesota if he doesn't back up his word. Please stay away from this company
