Wow, just wow! I honestly thought I was the most detail-oriented person out there, verging on the obsessive, but then we hired Beds and Borders, and they blew us away. From the initial consultation to the final touches, their work was absolutely fabulous and top-notch.
They didn't just meet my expectations; they exceeded them by a mile. Every single aspect of the landscaping project was handled with such precision and care, it was truly impressive. It was like they had anticipated my every concern before I even voiced it.

Outstanding work! Andy from Beds & Borders is extremely passionate about landscaping and it shows from the work they do. From the initial design with Jesse, to the professional and friendly crew, the work was done fast and on time and looks absolutely gorgeous. Everything was perfect!

Andy and his team did a great job on a project for us last year — just enjoying looking at the yard today. Design phase was a good experience, with our wishes taken into account and useful options to choose from. The work happened in a timely fashion, nice before a large family event. Beds & Borders did a spectacular job on our landscaping from design to completion. From the time that we started interviewing landscapers, Andy stood out for his enthusiasm, knowledge and ability to turn our ideas into a beautiful and livable design. Andy and Jesse put together a great design and worked with us on phasing and modifications to meet our budget. One of the things that I really appreciated was that they took our yard from demolition to completion in about three weeks, minimizing the time that everything was torn up. The design created interest and depth in our front yard and transformed our backyard into a beautiful space to relax and entertain. The plants they selected are beautiful and unique and the entire garden is growing out beautifully. We get so many compliments from our friends and neighbors!

The Beds & Borders crew was professional worked hard to complete our projects. They cleaned up after each day and took care not to damage existing areas as they worked. Andy's subcontractors were all exceptional and coordinated well to get the project done. Spring rains did delay the schedule of some of the contractors but they kept us up to date on schedules and completed the work as promised.

At completion of the project Andy provided us with a guide to take care of our landscape and manage any weeds, and he came out to replace some plants that failed over the summer. We are delighted with our yard and had a great experience with the whole process.. i highly recommend you check out Beds & Borders for your landscaping needs!

Beds and Borders did a great job with a couple of landscape projects we've had. They listened to our needs and provided a good design that worked for us. They showed up on time and performed the work they promised. Post project cleanup could have been a little better, but in the overall scope of what they did, it was a minor issue. Overall I would highly recommended their service.

Beds & Borders did a great job building our backyard retaining wall!! Andy was very helpful throughout the design process and made our ideas come to fruition.

We used Beds & Borders for a recent patio design and installation to replace an aging deck, and everything turned out great! I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends and family. They were cost competitive with other bids that we received, they worked with us to put together a great design for our back yard, and their crew did a great job with the installation. Andy checked in with us frequently to make sure things were going smoothly, and the crew were also great to deal with for minor questions and details. Very pleased with the results!

Nov 2023 Update: After being pleased with our patio project, we hired Beds and Borders to replace a failing retaining wall and revamp our entire front yard landscaping. It was a much larger job than our patio, but once again everything went great, and we were very pleased with the resolution of a couple of issues that popped up during construction. Very happy we used Beds and Borders again, and still would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a landscape project.

We used B&B to do our backyard landscaping and could not of been happier. I started searching for a company to put together this project a few years ago. I looked at many different options and after a exhaustive search I chose B&B for the design. Jesse put together exactly what we asked for an "oasis" in the cities. Through the design he gave us ideas and suggestions but also listened to our input as we worked through changes. While we waited to start the project I came back to Jesse with a significant change. He worked with me and we came up with an enhanced plan. B&B communicated through the whole process. When the work began their entire crew was professional and treated my property respectfully and cleaned up after each day. My biggest review is not only that the work was great is that when I would contacted them they got back to me right away. For me the best thing of this project is the family time that we can have around the fire, dinner on the patio and just great enjoyment. Thanks to all the B&B crew.

Beds & Borders did a complete landscaping make over of our entire yard. From the creative design plan to the finished product, everything exceeded our expectations, We had both practical and aesthetic features that needed addressing, and all all were completed to exacting specifications. A complete drain tile installation addressed our water remediation needs. And the installation of a wheelchair/walkway path from the front driveway down the slope into the backyard allowed my husband access to the backyard for the first time since 2009. Jesse did his wheelchair accessibility homework and installed the path according to accessibility protocol for grade and slope. We requested some unique specimen plantings as well as architectural focus throughout the design, in addition to rabbit & deer resistant shrubs and plants whenever possible - and all this with low maintenance in mind. These goals could not have turned out better - right down to the new sod. The crew was courteous, professional, and helpful at explaining the process to us as the project proceeded. They were also very willing to transplant a few salvaged specimens - even to an area not being redesigned. The crew cleaned up daily prior to the close of the day, and there was very little dust and debris left behind. This is commendable considering the amount of rain to be dealt with throughout the duration of the installation. Andy also worked with other professionals for the finishing touches: a new irrigation system, landscape lightening, and suggesting the craftsman who refinished our existing pergola and teak love seat and chairs. The finished look is all that was hoped for and much more - we could not be happier! I would recommend Bed & Borders to anyone wishing to do a landscaping project that is creative, has exceptional beauty, and offers optimal functionality. Kudos \

Bed & Borders was fantastic to work with! They were able to take the many ideas we had for our project and coalesce them into a cohesive, beautiful design. Andy was responsive and friendly, and the install crews were on time, hard-working and conscientious.

Communication was great, with Andy providing frequent updates so we knew what to expect and if there were any delays or adjustments to the project timeline.

We had some tough conditions to work in on a steep slope with mucky clay soil and some really hot, humid days, but the crews powered through and delivered in a big way.

We would absolutely recommend Beds & Borders to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor spaces, and we're already dreaming of the next project we can work with them on.

Starting from the very beginning of this project until the very end, this has been the most positive experience!
Across the entire time frame (initial meeting 4/26 to finished project 9/1/23) communication was amazing. Andy and Jesse were very responsive and timely with phone calls, texts, and emails.
Andy (owner & designer) and Jesse (designer) came for our initial meeting. They listened, understood our concerns related to the soft and hardscape issues we wanted to address and offered many creative ideas on the spot that we loved. Ours was an extensive project covering both front and back yards. It included paver walkways, paver patio, site-grading, irrigation, new beds, trees, shrubs, perennials, sod, new boulder retaining wall, repaired existing retaining wall, windows well repair and replacement, drain tile, dry stream bed, natural stone steppers. The design they came up with was detailed, creative and reflected our combined visions for the project. We were very involved homeowners with a lot of input, questions, and attention to detail and they welcomed our involvement, even though it resulted in Jesse updating the design 5 times before the project started. Andy and Jess are true artists as well as wonderful, patient human beings, who were a delight to work with!
Once work began 8/21 the crew was here working every day until the job was done. We can’t say enough about the whole crew- Chris, Jared, Brian, Julio, Joe, Nathan, and Riley, (Jesse and co-owner Mike were here a few days as well)- they were friendly, respectful, fun, very hardworking and they really cared about the quality of their work. Despite working through a stretch of 90+ degree days no one was crabby or short tempered and they worked incredibly hard. We had a few last-minute changes that I worried would be a significant inconvenience for the crew but every time we asked for something to change, it was never a problem. They willingly accommodated our requests.
Despite being off on a short get-away Andy has stayed in touch providing guidance for keeping our sod and plants alive during this heatwave over Labor Day Weekend. Now that the work has been completed, we are confident that Andy remains available to answer questions, provide resources and will stand behind the work Beds and Borders has done for us. Andy and Mike have figured out how to run a business with integrity, creativity, responsiveness, and kindness. The quality of their entire team is amazing. We feel so grateful to have found Beds and Borders for our project. We are thrilled with our new outdoor spaces, and we recommend them highly!

If we could give more than 5 Stars, we would! Choosing to work with Beds & Borders Landscape Design (Andy, Jesse & their entire crew) was the absolute best decision we could have possibly made. We hired them to install a patio, seated wall & fire pit in our backyard, and without a doubt, we will hire them again for any future projects.

They are kind, honest and genuinely care about their customers. It's clear they take great pride in the work they do.

Everything about working with them and their process was seamless. Their communication is best-in-class: clear, timely and consistent. They truly listen to what you as a customer want and then compliment that with their knowledge and expertise to provide additional ideas, solutions or considerations. They never made us feel like they were trying to upsell us - in fact, just the opposite. They were very honest about things that are necessary for your project based on your goals and preferences vs things that are not, etc.

They provided a clear quote for the project, a projected start & finish date and coordinated their work with our irrigation team to ensure a smooth project from start to finish across all parties involved.

While not guaranteed for all projects, they were able to double their crew a few days and ultimately finished our patio earlier than expected - and it looks incredible. (We need to finish the shrub beds, but I'm including some pictures of the patio, seated wall and fire pit for reference. The pictures don't even do it justice!).

Beds and Borders designed and installed a landscape plan for us that touched everything on our property. They basically stripped and replanted the entire yard at our 60 year old home.

The new design included re-grading, numerous trees and shrubs, boulder and paver installation, retaining walls, mulch and sod installation. Jesse coordinated with at least 4 other teams that were working on other projects all at the same time. In some cases he helped pull permits for them and combined work to get something done.

We really appreciated his flexibility and attitude on this. Every time something came up he approached it positively with a can-do attitude.

Our new yard looks gorgeous and we are extremely happy with it. I also feel like they were honest with their pricing. Every time there was a change or amendment they updated our pricing proposal, even if we removed work or material during install. We finally ended up on revision #9 and I feel everything was competitively priced.

I have recommended Beds and Borders to a few friends already, they are the best landscape company I have interacted with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again on anything else.

We had such a great experience with Beds and Borders! We reached out to Andy with just a general idea for a patio, and he and Jesse provided us with a detailed video plan that brought the vision to life. During construction, the crew was efficient, organized, and very respectful of our property. The finished patio exceeded our expectations—it looks amazing! Beds & Borders brought the vision for my garden to life! Andy took the time to really understand the woodland perennials that are important to me and Jesse's design prioritized the organic shapes I love with a clever solution to reuse the old patio pavers. Jared constructed the flagstone patio with incredible care and craftsmanship and Chris and the landscaping crew made sure the shapes for the new beds and the placements of the new shrubs were just right. We were very loyal customers of Prairie Landscaping for many, many years. They were always reliable for our residential snow removal. We received an email notice however that they wouldn’t be removing snow for us this winter. When did they do this? On the day we were expecting 4-7” of snow!! The reason? They had a better offer to clear parking lots. They didn’t even offer to refer us to another company or clear snow until we found a suitable replacement. Very disappointing customer service despite the many years we gave them business.

Great experience with Prairie Landscaping & Tree Services. We lost a huge shade tree and wanted a replacement. They prepared the site, amended the soil, and planted a large tree that we could not have handled ourselves. They are professional, knowledgeable, and timely. When finished they thoroughly cleaned our driveway and street. They came in under their estimated price. We would definitely work with them again.
