Constraction reviews in Forest Lake, Minnesota
-
Did not respond to multiple messages from me.
-
One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, incredible this guy is still in business.
-
Awful customer service experience. Incredibly rude and immature.
-
Great service on the shower. Fast response, couldn’t be happier. Thank you Mile

I am not surprised they have such low ratings. They lie about services they preformed and very unpleasant to deal with. PLEASE find someone else if at all possible.
-
I have had DeVine's replace a water heater, install a water softener, and latest fix a water heater and add another for a better hot water solution. Always great work that looks good and functions well.
-
Wouldn't go to property unless I showed up. Said he would notify warranty company to have them assign another vendor and never did. Also doesn't answer calls.
-
He took about a week to respond to our home warranty request (supposed to be within 24 hours). And when he finally came out and didn't fix the issue, we contacted our warranty company again. I left two messages and never heard back. Avoid!!!

Mike was sent out by HSA Home Warranty. He is sent out by home warranty companies to find a way to get out of repairs being covered. If he is assigned to your request, I suggest requesting a different company to come out.
-
Mike is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever met. He is rude, does poor work, and completely lies to get out of doing the proper repair. Do not ever hire this guy unless you like to be disappointed and treated like a POS. Trust me Mike's time is way more valuable than yours and he does not care what you think.
-
Mike is a professional. He does what he says. I have read the reviews but the issue maybe the insurance companies. Thank you Mike for your candor and doing what you said you would do. We can at least sleep now without water drips noises!

Mike from Devine handled our home warranty claim for a possible hot water heater leak. He was prompt, informative and thorough. Mike followed up several times, always looking for a way to solve the problem.
-
Set Devine’s up with service call 11/18 through AHS, he came out to check hose bibs and determined they needed to be replaced. AHS approved repairs. Called to set up repair date and he told me he call back to get on his calendar. I never heard from him after that call. I made multiple attempts and voicemails left that went unanswered, it is now February.

Mike at Devine’s plumbing was assigned a work order by HSA warranty to come to my house between 8am and noon. I called at 11:00 and left a voice message saying I hadn’t heard anything. Called again at 12:30, never heard back. HSA called and emailed several times and nobody could get ahold of him. No call, no show. Left me with a broken water heater for yet another day and ignored HSA who he has a contract with. HSA could’ve assigned to someone else if he had let anyone know he wasn’t coming, but nobody ever heard from him and my repair didn’t get done. VERY unprofessional. Do not hire this guy. I’d give less than 1 star if I could.

I would never recommend this company. The one star is for showing up, even though I wish he had not. The HSA dispatched this Plumber who was fine and pleasant on the phone and was in the area so I was surprised to have them come out that day. Open arriving Mike was rude and condescending during the entire interaction. I asked him, if he had a mask and would he put it on before coming into my house. I figured that was a reasonable request considering that we were in the middle of a pandemic with MN climbing in numbers. The response was "If I have to, guess I have no choice". I was shocked. He complied but kept up the with the rude attutide until he left. I'm requesting another plumbing company from the HSA. That guy will not be coming back to my house.
-
Wow, I'm shocked they're still in business. He came out for an AHS claim, was condescending from the get go. I just got off the phone with him where he got confrontational with me. I called AHS to switch service providers, the customer service agent I was on with called DeVine to determine what was going on...And he hung up on the customer service agent. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. I'm shocked that AHS is still doing business with DeVine.

Mike from Devine's plumbing came to our house to fix a leak in the water pipe in our basement ceiling. He replaced the pipe and didn't fully test it, but told my wife and I it was all fixed. He left our house, then sure enough, 10 mins later, I fully tested it myself and it started leaking out of the ceiling again because he didn't fully replace it long enough. I tried calling him at least 8 times, left messages, everything I could possibly do. Literally got no response and never heard from him ever again. So he took our money and didn't fix a single thing, and on top of that he didn't have the decency to answer my calls, give us a refund, or even care about our situation at all even though we had a leak through our basement ceiling on top of my wife caring for our new born baby and me working full time. Absolutely terrible horrible experience. Wish I could say zero stars. Hire Red Wing plumbing instead. We had to hire them to fix this guy's mistakes and they were amazing. Don't know how Devine's is still in business honestly. His reviews speak for themselves.

I would give zero stars if I could! Worst customer service experience I've ever had, also came through HSA Home Warranty claim for what we thought was a broken sump pump ... Mike was mad he had to drive across town to handle our expedited claim when he had another expedited claim on the other side of town come in after ours. Mike went out of his way to make me feel dumb and like I was bothering him, wasting his time, that I was in the wrong for asking HSA to expedite the service we pay an upgraded fee for, etc.

Devines plumbing was assigned to my house through a home warranty company. I told him exactly what was going on with my water heater. And asked if that kind of issue would be covered by the warranty. He said he needed to come and look at it. He was in my house for 3 min and said no it’s not covered. And changed me $75 plus the deductible from the warranty company.
Poor service, did not listen to anything I said, showed up late, took 2 weeks for him to arrive at my appointment after scheduling it. Canceled once.
There are plumbers that have a bad reputation, this guy is completely worthless do not use them! -
American Home Shield assigned this business because we had an emergency water leak. I paid $100. He showed up 2 days later. He then falsely identified the source of the leak as weather-related. This meant that AHS wouldn’t cover the repair. He then offered to do it for $400. I said no. We filed an insurance claim & the leak was determined NOT weather related according to the adjuster and water removal people. Mr. DeVine falsified the cause to attempt to get me to overpay him directly (rather than be paid by AHS). That would be considered, fraud.
He also showed up on my Facebook “suggested friends”. When this randomly happens with a contractor, it is usually a sign they’re looking you up on social media. This is done to determine someone’s wealth and figure out how to potentially overcharge them. It is also very creepy & an invasion of privacy.
I’m not surprised to see that his reviews are this negative. I imagine he employs the same shady tactics each time somebody lets him into their home. Pretty scary.
Oh I fixed the leak myself with $50 worth of parts from the hardware store. It took about 30 minutes. -
When our home warranty company assigned This company, I admit I was nervous when I saw the 1 Star reviews. Mike was responsive, on time, and helpful. He fixed our outdoor faucet (under warranty) in no time and we hired him to help with an additional extra project that was not under warranty. We were pleased with Mike and his service.
