We had a tall green ash tree removed in the spring by Shadywood. The location was tricky because the tree was close to the house and the power line. The tree was removed with little disturbance of the area surrounding the tree. The native pollinator garden 8 feet from the trunk of the tree was not damaged at all. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend this company.

Jim at Shadywood came out to look at our ash trees which were showing signs of EAB. He was thorough and did a great job explaining the situation and what his recommendation was. We ended up having Shadywood remove four ash tees and couldn’t have had a better experience. The crew that came out was professional and competed the work quick. They also did a great job of communicating and then cleaning up after the trees were down. Thanks again to the Shadywood Team!

Very happy customer for 10 years running now. Very reliable and thorough group. Would not even think about someone else for tree service. All the people we've interacted with have been great. Keith, Mike and Chris are all extremely helpful and considerate. Not just out to make money off of us. Very honest about what is needed and what is not. Thank you Shadywood!

We needed a tree removed from our backyard, and we were pleased with Shadywood's service. They did a nice job of communicating with us and coordinating our tree work, even when it needed to be rescheduled due to weather. We were able to share the cost of the crane with our neighbor, which helped a lot with cost! Would recommend.

I have used them for several years, for tree and stump removal, for tree and shub trimming and for treating trees and bushes for protection and longevity. Everything they have done has been excellent. Their pricing is competitive.

We could not be more pleased with Shadywood, both their staff and crew, as they removed from our yard a large cottonwood felled by a recent storm. They were totally professional. The crew was extremely skilled in every phase of the tree's removal, especially the fallen limbs in the water. Stump grinding was superbly completed the next day. We will certainly return to them for future tree care.

Shadywood came to my property assessed the conditions of the two trees to be removed, quoted me the same day, then scheduled the team to come and remove them. They walked through the process and were done in a matter of hours. They protected my lawn and cleaned up twigs relatively well.

Over time, trees need attention. I have relied on Shadywood to take care of mine for 15 years and my experience with them yesterday reinforces why I've stayed with them for so long. Over the years they have: deep root fertilize my arborvitae, treated my ash and Austrian pine, removed a diseased Scotch pine, and yesterday trimmed a locus hanging on my roof, my ash, oak and removed a broken limb from a poplar. I want to give a special call-out to Boyd and Lucus for their attention to detail and clean-up. Need tree service, I highly recommend Shadywood Tree Experts and Landscaping.

We were so pleased with the service Shadywood Tree Experts provided trimming and pruning both a birch and maple tree. We smile every time we look outside. The maple is special, given to us to plant from a relative 50 years ago. It stands tall, majestic and welcoming in our backyard. Thank you to the teams handling the office duties as well as those coordinating the details outside.

Timely, friendly, fast, great clean up, hardworkers. Very large maple took down in an afternoon. Cane back to grind the stump. Highly recommend.

Shadywood Tree Experts are my go-to company when it comes to caring for the trees on our property. They handle tree fertilizing in the spring, Apple Scab treatments, occasional tree trimming and removal for us. Keith Curtis, the company's owner, is a certified arborist and checks on the condition of trees on our property whenever we ask. All of the work they perform is done with professionalism and safety in mind. They do a great job cleaning up afterward as well. Their prices are competitive. If you're looking for a great tree company, I would highly recommend Shadywood Tree Experts. (Photos of Shadywood's removal of an Ash Tree from our front yard.)

We recently hired Shadywood Tree Experts to remove a massive Silver Maple that was over 100 years old, more than 75 feet tall, and about 5 feet in diameter. This was not a simple job — it required incredible skill, precision, and planning.
From start to finish, their professionalism was exceptional. The removal involved using a 300-ton lift truck to safely pick up large sections of the tree over our neighbor’s home.
Before the work began, Shadywood’s team carefully coordinated with our neighbors, meeting with each one to explain the process and obtain their permission. They also handled all the necessary city permits to close the street for safety. I never realized how much meticulous preplanning goes into a job like this until I saw it firsthand.
When it came time to do the work, everything ran smoothly and safely. After the removal, they came back to grind a 15-foot stump and root ball, and when they were done, they cleaned up every bit of debris. It was as if the giant tree had never been there at all.
I would strongly recommend Shadywood Tree Experts to anyone looking for true professionals. Their attention to detail, safety, and respect for both property and neighbors were outstanding.
A first-class experience from beginning to end.
