Reviews of local pros in Jordan, Minnesota

Herman's is the only place I buy landscape rock and black dirt. We also buy boulders at Herman's. Great service and good pricing. The Herman family is the best. Very friendly. Greet you with a smile. MASK FREE smile that is...

Very helpful staff. We were out a few times trying to find patio blocks to match existing ones from a retaining wall that was built over 20 years ago. The staff was very helpful and encouraging.
They also have really competitive prices for decorative rocks. We needed a bunch of bigger rocks to deter our chickens from rearranging our garden mulch. You pay per size of rock as opposed to weight and they have a GIANT pile of rocks to choose from! For a rock lover like me, it was absolutely heaven to be able to dig through those rocks without someone supervising me!

We're redoing our deck/porch and needed landscape rock underneath. Herman's is the first place we thought of, because we got wood mulch from them years ago. We went to check out the types of rock available and were blown away by the selection. They even recommended landscapers to do the labor for us. Great experience. Highly recommend.

We have gone to Herman's for at least 15 years! My parents always ordered the red mulch and it was beautiful! Now that we have our own house we have the black mulch and ordered extra rock for under our deck. I like that they continue to add new products to their supply!

I had soil dropped off for my garden this weekend and had a great experience. Fast service, flexible and reasonably price. Much appreciated!

This is a very well run and organized mulch, stone and soil producer. Also a tree disposal center, I would purchase from them any time. The employees there seem to be very kind and friendly. I highly recommend if you are in the area.

Great place, reasonable price and cheap delivery!

Herman's was very helpful with our landscaping needs. They had a great display of rock and bricks to make choosing easy. Mike the delivery guy couldn't have been nicer. Lindsay was helpful with returns and credit details.

This business provides everything you need to successfully complete your landscaping project. Their team is highly professional, friendly, and committed to delivering top-notch service.

From the time we called to get a price to the time our pulverized dirt was delivered, everyone ar Herman's Landscape was amazing! The price with delivery was great! The quality of the dirt is exceptional! Have used Herman's before and will continue to do so!

Called on Saturday every rude. Never had pormbles with them on the week days but don't call on weekends. WOW how are you going to treat your customers that way.

Wonderful place, I ordered landscape mulch and it was sitting in my driveway when I got home from work the next day. The mulch was the nicest I’ve gotten in the last 2 summers. I will definitely be back

Great customer service (in store and delivery) and good display of product out front. Reasonable delivery, and offers military discount. The gravel I ordered was perfect for turning my downed pine tree into a great DIY fire pit area.

✅ If this is helpful, don’t forget to give this review a 👍🏼-Cheers 🥃🥃

I have always had great customer service in store and delivery with Herman’s. Someone would always help with loading my vehicle with sand bags for our fire pit project we did a couple year ago. They always helped us do the math on how much we would need in materials no problem. I have had dirt delivered twice for our garden and they have always been on time. I will continue to use them with future projects!

Always a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff. They've been great for everything from getting a couple buckets of rock, to delivery of sand/rock/mulch, to choosing pavers and helping split the pallet and load it into my truck/trailer. 100% recommend!

I have been a customer there for many years for home improvement landscape projects. I recently visited to get some small boulders for my landscape beds that have been updated. The team is friendly and you can drive out to the boulder area divided by size after you sign a waiver. We found some beautiful boulders of different shapes and colors and some had some sparkle.

Lawns to Legumes people!!!! Get both items on one truckload!!! I got 1 ton of 6 inch to 12 inch boulders (a must have for garden drought protections) delivered with my 15 cubic yards of hardwood hardwood!!! The delivery price saved me 8 hours and gasoline of trying to pick up haul this amount over several trailer loads myself.
The price for their giant dump truck capable of holding 30 cubic yards of mulch or 1 ton of boulders added to 20 cubic yards of mulch combo was such a bargain delivery price. One set fee of $85 (give or take based on distance location) saved me soooooo much time!!!
Gardeners should definitely order 1 ton of the 6 to 12 inch boulders... by placing these in your garden near new plants... you support the soil microbes and provide crucial water and heat stability to the plants. Moisture is retained under rocks and very crucial species like the adorable pill bug and other key creatures needed for good soil health need 6 to 12 inch rocks randomly hidden amongst the gardens to support drought protections!!! In the spring... my gardens look like cool Rock gardens... by summer, you can hardly tell rocks exist and my plants are able to thrive.
Herman's has the best prices... best service... and I can't believe I ever used to waste time with my old weight limit little trailer before. Do the delivery fee... it will fluctuate depending on your distance... but wow... time saved is money saved! Plus all the gas money I saved! I would of had to do 6 or 7 trips to get that same amount on my own!!!

Finally a landscaper that did exactly what we wanted! He kept to his timeline, (I hate it when contractors say "I'll be there Friday" and then Friday comes and they push you off and then push you off again) and was right on budget. Thanks Bob!

I had Caola landscaping do the landscaping on my new home! They did a unground sprinkler system, sod the entire yard, rock with edging, and a flower bed! Not only did they have the best price they had the best customer service and got the job done very fast! I recommend these guys to anyone looking for any time of landscaping small or large they can help! Best off they plow my driveway now too!!

Lakeside Landscaping did a fantastic job getting our property ready, from leveling out the garden beds to prepping the base for our new shed. They really know their stuff, and the work they did to refresh and level our entire driveway turned out great. If you need any major yard work or site prep handled by pros who actually care about the details, call Luke. They went above and beyond.

Luke and team did our entire lot as we had a new build. They did an incredible job as it is an absolute showstopper. Neighbors, friends, and random strangers have commented on how nice the yard is. Luke is an amazing human, hard worker, fair, and honest. We appreciated his attention to detail and making sure everything was "right". He treated the project exactly like how he would treat it if it were his home, which is exactly what you want. He works incredibly hard alongside his team and is a perfectionist. You can't ask for anything more than what he provides. If you read this please know he's the best in the business. We gave him a blank canvass and he created a masterpiece. Thanks Luke, you're an absolute beast. And yes, he will get up in your trees at 8pm when its dark holding a chainsaw just to get the work done and keep up with the timeline. The BEST in the business without a doubt.
