Constraction reviews in Lake Elmo, Minnesota

This is the email that my father wrote to Ann, the project manager that oversaw my parents roof replacement from start to finish.

"Dear Ann, I am writing to let you know how happy we are with the wonderful job that you and Rachel did with our insurance company to get our roof repaired. You went above and beyond to help us. Your company did a fantastic job putting the new roof on. Chuck and his crew did a great job as well. We also liked the color you helped us pick out. You were a great company to work with and I happily give your company 5 stars out of 5 for all the great work you did. Thank You for the wonderful Job you did. It was been a pleasure working with you."

We highly recommend this company for your roofing needs.

I got my roof replaced by Proficient. They took such good care of me! Ann was fabulous to work with. Great communication, thorough and good work done by the roofers, timely and punctual, walked me through every step to get a new roof! Would highly recommend!

We recently had our deck replaced and these guys did a phenomenal job! We worked with JT and Mark and the whole process was so smooth! My husband and I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone!

What a wonderful experience it was working with Proficient Construction for our roof and garage door replacement- I highly recommend them for their workmanship and expertise. Our Project Manager, Ann, was knowledgeable, a great communicator, and supportive throughout the entire process. Proficient’s roofing team did an amazing job and we are so thrilled with our new roof and garage door.

We had Proficient Construction come out to check for hail damage on our roof. From the start of the process, Ann Ruud was great to work with and talked us through the process each step of the way. Once everything had been approved they got us on the schedule and the crew that came for the roof, gutters and trim work were fast and everything turned out exactly how we had hoped. Ann’s patience and care as the project manager gave us peace of mind from start to finish. Would highly recommend using Proficient!

Proficient was super easy to work with, responsive, considerate and got us in under the winter deadline! We worked with Ann Rudd and she really knows her stuff and did a fantastic job being the go-between with our insurance. She was professional and persistent.
The work they did was very high quality. Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience with proficient construction. Ann was very helpful and was very responsive to answer any questions. The crew that did the roof was quick and very professional. We were so glad to have the option to put class 4 shingles on our house! We highly recommend working with Ann and proficient construction!

As a guy that retired from a long career in commercial construction, I can say that I am extremely satisfied with the great job by Proficient. I had them install an elevated 20x30 deck and a matching concrete patio below. The deck was a Moisture Shield product that I have used previously and really like. The concrete patio was done by Dale Pexa, their subcontractor, who did an outstanding job.

The attention to detail from everyone involved was exceptional. I took multiple bids on this work and found that Proficient was extremely competitive in their pricing. Their proposal was very professional and clearly articulated all aspects of the bid. I would happily use Proficient on my next project and can recommend them to anyone needing a top quality deck.

Working with Ann Rudd and Proficient Construction was really great. They were always prompt and professional with their communication. While insurance was a nightmare to work with, Proficient always made it clear that they were there to take care of my needs. I will absolutely be recommending them to friends and family, and use them again in the future.

After damage to our garage, Dan Backlund and Proficient Construction really stepped up and quickly started work and got the garage closed up until they could get a plan in place. They worked with me and insurance to complete the project, improving the quality and look of our garage and house. Thanks Dan and crew!

I had an excellent experience with Proficient when they re-roofed my house and garage after a hail storm. From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient, and attentive to my needs. I want to give a special shout-out to Ann, the sales representative, who was incredibly knowledgeable and patient in explaining the process and answering all my questions. She made me feel confident in choosing Proficient for the job.

Another standout team member was Josh, the insurance claim supplement processor. He went above and beyond in communicating with my insurance company, ensuring that all the necessary documentation was submitted and that the claim was processed smoothly. His diligence and attention to detail made the entire experience stress-free for me.

The crew that worked on my roof was skilled, hardworking, and respectful of my property.
I highly recommend Proficient for anyone in need of roofing services. Their commitment to quality workmanship and outstanding customer service truly sets them apart. Thank you, Ann, Josh, and the entire team, for a job well done!

Dan and the Proficient team completed roofing and siding for us and we're very happy with the result.

They were very responsive and professional and it was evident that they cared about the quality of their work and our satisfaction.

We contacted a few roofing companies for estimates for replacing our very old roof and skylights. After meeting Ann Rudd at Proficient Construction it was obvious that we would be moving forward with this company.

Ann discussed all of our options and listened to and responded to all of our questions. She quickly got us a few different quotes based on the various options we had for our skylights and was very patient with us while we were deciding what skylights we wanted to go with and trying to figure out our payment options. She never rushed us or made us feel pressured to make a quick decision.

After the work was done Ann came to the house to do a walk-through to make sure we were satisfied with everything. We are very happy with our new roof and skylights! I highly recommend Ann and Proficient Construction!

We had a small deck added on to our house and was very happy to have proficient do it as many companies don’t do small decks. Ben had a great idea to do a floating deck which saved us a lot of money and time. Ben and his team did a great job And though it took longer with some rain delays we are very happy with our deck.

If you need any work done on your home, I highly recommend Proficient Construction! They are a local, family owned business who will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and your needs are met. We recently hired them to tear down our old deck and build us a new, bigger deck. They did an amazing job! The work crew was the nicest group of guys. Very respectful and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Boe did a great job managing our project from start to finish. He even bent over backwards to work with us when we wanted to change our original plan. Proficient Construction went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Our roof started leaking less than a week before closing on our sale. Dan came out immediately and came up with a plan at a very fair price. We closed on time and our buyers got a great new roof. I honestly can't say enough about how great Dan and his crew were. Some of the best customer service I've ever recieved.

We had our roof done after hail and are very pleased with the communication our representative with us, the sub contractors for gutters and solar panels, and the insurance company. The roofing itself also appears to be done well. It was a big job and took quite a long time, but they took the time to give us the best products and service. I would recommend without hesitation.

We couldn’t be happier with the work Proficient did on our home! After a nightmare experience with a previous contractor who completely botched our siding and windows, we were anxious, but this team exceeded every expectation.

From the very first visit, they were professional, knowledgeable, and honest. They took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done to fix the mess we were left with, and they delivered everything they promised—on time and with incredible attention to detail.

Our siding looks flawless, the new windows are perfect, and we finally feel proud of the way our home looks again. The crew was respectful, cleaned up thoroughly each day, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

I can't recommend them enough. If you want quality work and people who truly care about doing the job right, this is the company to call!

We were really impressed with the care that Boe took to make sure that our custom fitted deck was exactly right for our needs. He & his team did such an amazing job. We just love our new deck! It was a challenge to figure out how to get the most out of a small space but Boe was able to figure it out. The crew was so nice to work with. We would highly recommend them for any job large or small. Skilled perfection & hands down the best in their profession! We just love our deck with the floating walkway! I was so happy with their work, customer service and communication from their team, that when a hailstorm came through, they were 1st people I called. They did a thorough inspection and provided enough information to call in a claim. They met with the insurance company and now we have a beautiful roof that really enhances the curb appeal. They were very mindful of all of the gardens I had around my home. There was a mother mallard on a nest beside the house and they were so careful not to scare her. All the ducklings have since hatched and we've spotted them in the pond at the back of our property.. They are currently working on our windows and gutters and I look forward to working with them in the future. Thanks Boe!

I recently had Proficient Construction replace my deck floor and railing with maintenance free materials. I was very impressed with Ben’s professionalism and knowledge during my sales consult. His bid was very thorough, and he quickly answered any questions that I had. Jordon did an excellent job on the construction end. You could tell he took great pride in his work, and he always left the site clean at the end of the workday. He did an excellent job. I love my deck and have received many compliments on it! The only frustration I experienced was a lack of communication as to the start date, which totally got messed up due to a bad stretch of weather. A quick text here or there stating revised plans would have been very helpful. However, even with that, I would not hesitate to hire them again for a future project and would highly recommend them to others!

We have had the great fortune of working with Proficient Construction on a pair of projects at our home. One was an interior remodel and renovation that revitalized several areas of the house. Ron and his team were amazing to work with and were kind, knowledgeable and professional throughout. Old houses always have surprises waiting behind the walls, but Ron and his team were ready with solutions when something weird popped up. They were also ready to answer our questions and provide us with detailed options from planning to completion of the work. We're very happy with the work and the end result.

More recently, we had Proficient replace our aging roof after some issues with water leakage, and again they came through for us. Dan and his team made sure we were taken care of throughout the whole process. Dan made sure the damaged areas of the roof were properly covered to prevent additional water leakage prior to the replacement. He was detailed and honest in his assessment of the scope of the work needed, and made sure that everything was done to a high standard when the roof was replaced. We highly recommend Proficient Construction!
