I am a retired construction superintendent with 35 years of experience managing construction projects. My wife and I had a great experience with Arise Outdoor Services. They rebuilt our failing wooden retaining wall with the versa-lock system and we are very pleased with the results. These guys are top notch professionals. They had great attention to detail. The team was very hard working and courteous. They also did a great job cleaning up after the job was done. We would definitely recommend Arise to anyone based on the wonderful experience we had!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Arise on a large landscaping project at my home. Arise installed a double retaining wall with planter beds, a fire pit integrated into the retaining wall, a patio, and regraded our entire yard. I cannot recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the entire process exceeded my expectations.

The design phase was particularly impressive. Josh took the time to listen to my ideas and vision (which changed more than once along the way), and then added his professional expertise to create a design that was both beautiful and functional.

I hired Arise to do a paver path in my back yard. Not only was communication great, the path is beautiful! The team was professional, super friendly, respectful of the rest of my backyard space and I’m very happy with the work! Took my Pinterest vision to life. Will be using their services again!

Our backyard was uneven and would have a couple small ponds in the Spring with snow melt and rain, one around our shed and one in another spot. Caleb came out for an initial consultation and heard our concerns, he made sure to evaluate all options including if we'd need drain tile or just a regrade. Through the expertise of Caleb and the team, we moved forward with regrading. The team delivered! We were excited with the snow melt this spring to see no puddles in the yard, good drainage, and beautiful grass starting to grow! Thank you Arise Outdoor!

We needed to create a level gravel pad in our back yard, but it was on a hill and needed a retaining wall. My husband tried to do it himself, but he just didn't have the right equipment and time. After the project stalled out for a few years, we learned about Arise Outdoor Services. They gave us a reasonable estimate and did awesome work. Now we finally have a solid level foundation to put a new shed on. I really appreciated how hard and professionally they worked. I would recommend them to anyone considering doing a project in their yard. I included a picture so you could see what I am talking about. They were not quite done yet in the picture. We are very happy with the quality of their work.

We hired Arise Outdoor Services earlier this summer for two very different projects in our yard: building a deer-proof vegetable garden structure and preparing a large flower garden plot.

Caleb met with us to discuss our needs, taking time to fully understand what we were looking for in these projects and offering suggestions as well. We scheduled the work for later in the summer and Arise kept to their word and came the week they promised. Then the Arise crew completely overdelivered in their work. They talked over important details with us as they progressed to ensure the results were what we wanted, and were extremely efficient, hard workers during the project. They delivered such high craftsmanship in our vegetable garden structure too, showing their many talents besides typical landscaping work.

Arise did an incredible job transforming our backyard last year. Recently we noticed that there had been some settling in our patio and the guys from Arise came back the week we reached out and fixed everything like new. Outstanding customer service. Arise is outstanding. Now only do they do quality work, but they are the nicest people out there. They arrived on time, communication was on point, and our backyard is exactly what we wanted.

I have a large Maple in the back that causes drastic shade in areas. Arise help us brainstorm and design a solution that tackled lack of grass-growth issue, plus made a functional entertaining space and area for my dogs. I managed to change the design on them a few times, which they had no issues with, although their experience provided the insights needed to ensure the design was perfect. We came to an agreement and they worked their tails off getting this done for us.

Arise knew we had a budget and they did everything they could to get the project done on time with no delays in labor hours. These guys are absolute monsters. Plus, when a furniture order arrived, they didn't hesitate for a second to help move large/heavy boxes for my wife and I. What an absolute class act.

Josh and his team at Arise were awesome. They were very communicative, showed up when they said they would, and finished on the exact timeline they outlined at the beginning of the project. There were also a couple of unforeseen additions to the project once they got started which they completed in a very timely manner and totally reasonable cost, even though the work was not part of the original quote. We loved working with Arise on sodding our front yard as well as upgrading our edging on all our front and back beds. They were kind, professional and helpful throughout the entire process and would highly recommend. They worked really hard and thoroughly on our project and it shows in the work they did! These gentlemen have the highest standards to quality, craftsmanship, communication, planning, and attention to detail I have seen across many projects, and teams I have managed. Our project was on our primary residence on top of a hill in Minneapolis, lot size of 0.33 acres. I did not think it possible to do the things that were done to transform every square inch of our yard. The transformation has been astounding. All of our neighbors even blocks away make comments on how beautiful our property looks.And again, it's the quality of the work that was just shocking. There are a myriad of companies one could use to do a landscape project, but you are not going to get the quality, if quality is what you are after. Whether a big or small project I would go with Arise. The impact they had was so profound I now use their work ethic and standards of quality when talking to my own children about what good work looks like. These guys left the yard cleaner at the end of every day than it ever was before the projected started. We planted hundreds of plants, three retaining walls, two patios, walking paths, over a quarter acre of new sod, irrigation system, water runoff rerouting, lighting system, and so much more. Don't make a choice you will regret by going with another company. Go with Arise, it's worth it.

My neighbor referred me to Arise after having a tree replaced this summer.

We had a few big pines taken out and the ground was in rough shape and not ready for sod.

Josh was incredibly responsive and professional. He and his team did a great job with repairing my lawn and also installing new rock around the house.

Arise Outdoor Services is exceptional! They performed work for us in the summer of 2024. Though we are extremely late on posting this review, it’s allowed us to fully and truly say how very satisfied with and grateful we are for the work they did. And we can attest that it’s held up over time.

Aside from being just really, really good guys, they are talented, creative, and very hard workers. We had a water issue in our backyard - mainly that it turned into a pond whenever it rained. Josh and team designed a system underneath our lawn that would capture the water to be slowly absorbed back into the soil. A win win! They also built a retaining wall for us. Initially we were going to use the versa-lok retaining wall but ran into an issue of tree roots from a neighbor’s tree that would make it unstable. They didn’t panic at all but rather came up with the idea of building a “boulder” aka large rock retaining wall. They even found some amazing pieces of limestone for the steps to tie it all together. And in the end, we all agreed we liked this even better! In addition, they laid sod and filled in the hardscaping with river rock and gardens with mulch.

We could not be happier with how everything turned out. True quality work from true quality people. They were pros at working with other vendors like the fence company and sprinkler installation company. And we can say that we have not had a pond in our yard for over a year now.

Our goal was to maximize our small yard (city living) to provide a space for us and our dogs to hang out. Arise helped us take general ideas and make them come to life. I promise you will be very happy when you hire Arise Outdoor Services for your landscaping needs!!
