Sean Brosnan and his team did an outstanding job taking down our birch tree. They were friendly, professional, and accommodating to our special requests. Based on Sean’s great work, I would definitely recommend Bratt Tree to my family and friends.

Both the office (Karen) and Caleb were friendly, businesslike, knowledgeable. They were helpful accommodating a couple of special requests related to our schedule. Excellent service!

They did a fantastic job removing two trees. Problem was, one of them was the wrong tree, and was on our Northern neighbors property.

Now I'm left paying the $4,500 bill to remove a tree that's not even on my property.

Edit: 6/16/2021 (work was completed 6/15/2021) - Bratt spent 15 minutes on the phone with us this morning taking issue with our review and asking us to take responsibility for the mistake - so here's the full story.

We requested quotes for 2 trees that are on our property line with our Southern neighbor. We mentioned that we do not know trees - we are not arborists. So, Bratt came out to do a "no contact" Covid quote, and sent us the estimate for a pine and an ash tree removal. Not knowing types of trees, we assumed we were on the same page.

It turns out, we were on different pages. We wanted the large maple removed, which borders our Southern neighbor, but Bratt thought we were talking about an Ash tree that was on our Northern neighbor's property.

So, points against us for not knowing different species of trees (we were really relying on their expertise to guide us through this process!). However, no one (outside the incredibly helpful office staff) spoke with us in-person or over the phone about which trees we wanted cut down. One of the people on-site asked us about moving comcast cables around, but that's about it.

So, the good news was that the Ash would have needed to come down eventually, and now it did. The bad news is that our Southern neighbor was going to split the bill for the Maple, but the Ash is on the other side of the property (actually, it's on the Northern neighbor's property).
And so we're left with double the bill than we expected.

The office staff, and the work itself was really good - but we are a little shocked that the experts didn't speak (on the phone or in-person) with us about what exactly we needed. And that they would not consult with us to be extra diligent and clear about cutting down a tree on a property not belonging to their client. They did speak to our Northern neighbor about it, who was thrilled that the dying Ash was coming down (I would be too if my neighbor footed the bill!!).

We'd also sent them one of the pictures attached (with the red arrows) showing the Maple, but unfortunately no one caught it (I wouldn't expect the office staff who responded to the email to necessarily catch that the tree we were talking about was a different one, but it's still unfortunate).

Lesson learned for us, speak to someone in-person about the work first. If you are going to go with Bratt, they do good, quality work, but make sure you spell out your exact needs for them. If you ever leave them a critical review online, expect a pretty combative and uncomfortable phone call.

Andrew and his team climbed and pruned a large, tricky elm during our January cold spell. They also placed a cable in a large locust tree. So well done from beginning to end.

Concerning the initial appointment with Patrick, this experience has been very valuable in understanding the tree needs of my property. He is very well educated and informed me about the characteristics about the species that were on the land.

Had a great experience with Bratt at our previous home, when we needed work done at the current house they were the company I called. They were super responsive, I had an estimate within two days of filling out the web form, the work was done in less than a week of accepting their proposal. They took out a tree, and pruned several others. The trees look great and they did an awesome job cleaning up. Definetly recommend. If you look really closely in the photo, you can see their guy working in the tree.

I was notified when the tree trimming crew was about to arrive; when they showed up they checked in to go over the work they were going to do and asked if I had any questions; they got the work done, asked me f I was satisfied, and waited for me to contact my neighbor who had inspired the trim work...

Bratt Tree does great work. Recently they started using an AI scheduler to answer calls /make appointments, outsourcing calls to a call center, and sending 20 automated emails and texts about a single appointment. Pricing is on the high side so disappointing that’s paying less local staff.

TJ was very informative. He found issues other tree care companies missed which could have resulted in loss of the tree. I am very pleased with the options he shared with me and Bratt Tree pricing.

What an impressive experience! From my meeting to get a quote, to scheduling the service, and finally the expertise and speed involved in removing an enormous chunk of an enormous tree. They definitely went above and beyond. Will definitely call on them again.

Sean and team were early. Easy to talk to and got tree down and cleaned up in 4 hours. Watched them working, safety conscious, hardhats, ear protection. Made sure neighbors railing under tree not damaged. Very pleased and recommend them for tree trimming or removal with 5/5 rating. I’ll check back after removal of branches and trunk pieces. Also a 5/5 shout out to Ezra with the giant claw and semi trailer who cleaned up the pile of tree branches, and pieces of Spruce tree that was cut down. Even used a leaf blower to do final clean up. Thorough and professional job, BRATT TREE, so glad I chose your company!!
Update, 8-15-‘25: John and Ezra did a fantastic job on stump grinding and removal of debris. Space clean and neat. 100% satisfied with Bratt tree removal and getting rid of stump. We are SO GLAD we picked Bratt tree company for our contractor!! Dan and Mary Joan Murray.

Bratt Tree has been our go-to company for taking care of our trees for over ten years. Always professional, always clean, always happy and listens to our needs. Sean was great in the recent removal of two old apricot trees. Very happy as always.

Here for an edit. They missed a few branches broken by a storm when they came to trim my tree and didn't leave the wood I asked for. But Andy reached out to me, He's making it right and leaving the wood for me from the branches that got left. Very professional and respectful. I got the weight reduction package and one of the main branches is resting a solid 6 feet higher than what it was. I think they saved me some very pricey roof repairs with that branch. Mistakes happen. And they were responsive to fix it. Would recommend!!
