Matt and his crew did a great job w/ the tree trimming and the price was very reasonable. With that being said, he neglected to take any precautions for his bucket truck which ended up creating several large/deep ruts in my front and back yard.

He attempted to repair some of the damage by bringing 40 bags of dirt, however, that only filled one rut in the front yard. This could all be avoided by just laying some plywood down when moving the truck.

I don't care much about my lawn but I know several people that most certainly do. I was fine w/ just having him lay dirt and seed down but he couldn't even accomplish that. Imagine the cost of sod.....

They did a great job! I am so glad we went with them. Definitely couldn’t have done this ourselves. They trimmed our maple and removed really big branches and unwanted growth. They cleaned up every last bit and had it all done in about 1 hour. Would definitely recommend!!!

I did not actually use their service but did have contact with Matt over the sound and the volume of his guys while working. I did start our conversation upset yet Matt was so professional and receptive to what I had to say that I couldn't stay mad. I do understand that communication on a jobsite with saws running is a hard issue to deal with and overcome. I passed on that from my experience and use on my own jobsites that 2 way personal radios would be a good idea and more professional. I was amazed at his response that he agreed and he was very apologetic for his crews volume. This is how a real owner should and did deal with a potential customer.

Matt did a great job listening to the needs and exceeding expectations of my elderly mom. He was personable, efficient, and affordable. I especially like that he is a local business and very hands on from start to finish. I wouldn’t call anyone else for tree trimming and removal.

5 Stars for Matt's Tree Service, Matt and his team removed 2 very tall pine tree's from our backyard, reasonably priced, and has the right equipment to efficiently complete the job. I highly recommend Matt and his team.

We hired Matt this past winter to take care of some trees that we had marked. Everything was prompt and taken care of when they said they would. However their trucks destroyed our yard. We have tire track marks running from our neighbors yard "that they said they had to use to reach a tree) would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could get permission from our neighbors. All the way to the side of our fence that opens. For the price we saved on their tree service we will have to spend on fixing the yard that had very deep tire track in.

I have to give Matt's a 5 star 1) the price 2) job well done. I had 3 quotes from other companies, the range was $4000-6000. Matt got the job done for $2300. I was concerned about damage to the yard, but there was none whatsoever. The tree cutting crew was amazing, they didn't even have to shut down power to my house, it was like watching a circus crew.
If you want the job done without writing huge pay check, call Matt.

Matt with Matt's tree service did a phenomenal job at our house with a dead tree removal. Matt's had GREAT pricing and speedy service. Matt arrived with his crew at noon and the entire tree was cut down and removed with-in 20 minutes. Matt took care to not damage other plants in the yard and was super friendly to chat with. Cannot recommend enough and already sent out a few referrals.

Matt and team showed up on the scheduled day, no issues! Matt was friendly and professional, as were his employees. We used him for tree removal and he was in and out in under 2 hours. His team also did a great job of cleaning up once the tree was down. We pulled several quotes before deciding to go with Matt and his pricing was by far the best. Quality and value were both high with Matt!

Matt is a no-nonsense guy. I came to him looking to raise the canopy of my maples in my front yard and to remove an Elm in the back. The other estimates I got were within the same price range but the other estimates were of poorer quality. The way it differed was Matt was responsible enough to give me a call and talk me out of Lion's tailing like the other estimates suggested.

He then spoke to me about bringing light into my yard and maintaining the health of my trees.

Day of, he and his crew were helpful answering any questions I had. They took the time to prevent any damage on my yard. They also cleaned up great. It seems like Matt is truly caring about his trees and will let the customer know if they're asking for something that goes against that. Would use them again.

I had a few mature dead trees that needed to be removed off my property. They were at risk of damaging my neighbors homes. Matt came out immediately and gave me a fair bid. Him and his crew came out the next day. Very respectful of my property and my neighbors which he had to utilize for safe removal. My yard is clean from debris , expect for the firewood I asked him to leave behind. Appreciative for their hard work under hot summer conditions. Thank you Matt and crew.

I should have known when I got the quote that it wasnt going to end well. The quote hardly made any sense, he had to call and explain what he was talking about. In our quote request (which was done by email), we asked for the lilacs to be trimmed on BOTH sides of our house. The quote we recieved DID include that (this is important later), but it was barely more than a sentence to explain the work that would be done. His schedule had to have him call to explain in better detail. We didnt schedule it that day because the price seemed pretty high, but we did decide to go ahead because it really needed done. We got scheduled about 3 weeks out from there. The day comes and nobody shows up. After a call to him I got some excuse about them being backed up and he couldnt make it that day but assured me that he would be by after a really small job the next morning. Finally after 2:30pm the next day, I called HIM. Another excuse and it seemed like he was trying to push us off again. I was pretty irritated and so he said he would make sure he was here today. Finally 6pm rolls around and he shows up with his crew. We go through what we needed and he got started. The alley side looks great... and then I walked around the other side of the house. The picture included is AFTER I picked up the rest of the branches and whatnot that they left. They also forgot the brush pile that had been included in the quote and had to come back again the next day to get it. NOT HAPPY.

Came in much lower than other big tree removal companies. Has the right equipment for the job. Fair, diverse, local and fun to watch up in the trees. Old school rope guy. Best guy for the job!

We had a terrific experience with Matt. Great advice, excellent communication, among the best of multiple bids, and a pleasure to deal with. Removed a very large tree-fall in our Minneapolis residential backyard with careful attention paid to our affected property and full cleanup. Highly recommended.

I had other tree service firms give me quotes that basically said they didn’t want the job. Matt came out, assessed the job (a 50+ year old Colorado Spruce that needed to go) that was located 15 feet from the curb. His team arrived on the scheduled date, removed the aging giant and cleaned everything up in about 25 minutes. Matt’s pricing and execution of the job were exactly what I expected it to be. Exactly one week later, the stump removal professional matched Matt’s performance. We are completely satisfied and Matt has become our tree vendor of choice.

I'm very satisfied with Matt's tree service. We had to reschedule a couple times but they still were able to cut my (somewhat risky) tree a month before a competing quote, and at a very reasonable price. It's a small operation: they communicated necessary information but were not overly concerned with sales, websites, etc. Fine by me! If I need a tree service again, I plan to work with them.
