An excellent overall experience! Huston's was extremely knowledgeable and responsive with above-and-beyond customer service. Katie and Boone were awesome - answering all questions and addressing any concerns. The crew did a great job removing a very large tree from our property - taking extra care to keep the impact to lawn and garden minimal. They also excelled at clean up - removing even the smallest sticks and sawdust from pavement areas. On top of all of that, they were competitively priced. Highly, highly recommend!!!

We hired them to clear out some shrubbery, buckthorn, and clean up some brush that was left over from putting a fence in. It was very sloppily done, they did not fully clear the area, despite contracting specifically for that, and left multiple stumps from large shrubs that were intended to be cleared. I would not recommend them as we now need to hire another company to come clean up the mess they left.

-This is the 1st tree service company I have worked with that I can honestly say their bid for my project was a realistic & fair bid.
-They did a great job pruning my big maple trees, cleaning up the debris, and leaving everything as they found it when they were done.
-Got some very helpful and insightful information from crew foreman regarding care for a newer tree I have planted in my front yard. He had some very insightful info about managing Asian Beetles, that even I didn't know about . He also educated me on the kind and size of plastic tree trunk protectors to use and why. Thank you!

Arrived on time and did the job inexpensively and quickly with thorough clean up.

I had a couple of vey tall maples on our property. Boone and his team were very cautious on how to approach the trees I had hanging over our house. With the rights equipment and knowledge, the safety got the job done! I have now recommended them to multiple neighbors and friends who Houston Tree has taken care of. Today was the second time I’ve had Hustons to my home and again it was a great experience!! I never hesitate to recommend them when someone is looking for a tree company!! Following is my original review: Work moved quickly. They took time to plan where the trees should fall and cleaned up efficiently. The crew was friendly and did wonderful work. Let me mention I had the same job quoted by another company and that quote was almost twice the price! Would 100% use Hustons tree service again!!

This review is coming around 1 year after we had Huston’s at our property to see how the trees faired after I went back and trimmed them. Overall, Boone is a down to earth, friendly, hand shake individual. Katie- front desk was responsive and I was quoted less than other companies to trim 6 flowering crabs and as such I went with Huston’s. The day of my project the company gave an arrival window. They were 45-60 min after this 2 hour window, which I understand, however numerous comments were then made about a “big project” they were coming from making my project seem irrelevant. Boone arrived with a single hand tool and started trimming. Another truck showed up however due to the lateness I had to leave before the project was finished to pick up my child. Before I left I never saw the individual of the other company truck get out and they were gone by the time I got home. When I walked the trees after the fact it truly looked like no work was done, any branches trimmed were at height level and few in number. We had agreed upon trimming and allowing visualization of a street light and trimming over our driveway as my husband has a large vehicle, in addition to cleaning up the trees to allow more light and air movement and this was absolutely not done. When I reached out to Katie she mentioned this is why they encouraged homeowners to be home during the project- which I was but couldn’t stay the entire time due to their lateness. I then reached out to Boone and he told me that what he did was what he felt was “right for the trees”. I was disheartened by the work he described and what was actually performed. A family member and I went back and trimmed the trees to my expectations. One year later all the trees bloomed as expected and appear well with no concerns of over trimming- which was their reasoning for feeling the job was complete. I will not use this company again and would not use this company for a subjective job (ie trimming) and would assure everything that you want done is appropriately documented in your contract if you do use them and be sure you can be home for the entire project.

Huston’s Tree Service (Boone and company) did a remarkable job on my property. They were efficient, friendly and respectful of my property. No one better! Highly recommend!
This afternoon Huston Tree Service took down a couple huge trees in my backyard and trimmed a bunch more. They worked tirelessly all afternoon. The result was awesome. The whole team was friendly and so accommodating…and also very reasonable. They will do more work for me this fall. I will look no further than Huston Tree Service. Try them out. You will not be disappointed.

Had a large split Silver Maple that could have come down with a major wind. The tree might damage property or a person if a storm took it down. They recognized the danger and were very responsive in setting up time to take it down and worked in very hot weather to get the job done.

Boone, Katy, Chad and crew were exceptional to work with! Honestly shocked by how prompt in communication, how professionally run and fair priced. They removed our five shrubs and stumps and beautifully cleaned up. Friendly to boot! We and our neighbors will use them for any tree service in the future and gladly refer them to others looking for tree service.

I've used them twice for tree removal (once when a tree fell on my roof), and they were excellent both times. Highly recommend!

Boone and Katy run the service and both seemed fair and reasonable. My scheduled day was rained out. I needed the work done sooner than later so, I agreed on a day that I was out of town. Boone and I had discussed the work to be done in detail. Remove one tree , cut back another for better views, and 2 burning bushes needed a serious cut back.
When I returned home it looked ruff. One landscape lighting post had the top removed and was missing, a large boulder bordering the granite walkway had been turned and nocked out of place. Burning bushes had barely been touched and the tops were uneven and any part that was hard to reach got missed. I sent photos to Boone and he did return but didn’t accept any responsibility for the poor work. Lots of dead trimmed branches still visible, ragged trimming at best. They charged my credit card immediately even though I was told it was taken to schedule the job. I got no resolution with Boone’s return visit and he denied most all of my concerns.

Five stars! Very helpful, professional. Boone excellent with information strategy for storm damaged trees.... ! Greatly appreciated his help and his team. Will be calling again with any needs I might have in the future. Great price for work quotes compared to other groups. Give them a call if you need tree service!!

We had a tree in our backyard with Dutch Elm Disease that needed to come down. Boone demonstrated the most tree knowledge of any estimator who came by, provided a recommendation for treating the remaining elms in my yard, and gave me the best quote for the work. Some other tree service businesses said they'd need a crane for the job and quoted me nearly twice the amount Huston's charged.

Our backyard is on the side of a hill and has limited access from the street. Boone and his crew did a great job navigating the awkward setup they had to work with.

We have used Houston Tree Service on multiple occasions for tree work needed. They always show up on time, do great work and cleanup afterwards. Their arborist Boone always gives great advice. He is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. They give a fair estimate for the tree work and are efficient and professional. Highly recommended.
