Overall, it was a great experience. The technician was able to identify a likely cause of the furnace issues and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. What I appreciated most was that there was no pressure to replace the furnace. Instead, the tech focused on diagnosing the problem and offering practical solutions.
In contrast, several previous companies immediately recommended a new furnace without properly troubleshooting, which was frustrating, especially considering that your technician was able to fix the issue. It turned out to be a relatively simple fix that I would expect any heating company to recognize. Unfortunately, those companies seemed more focused on selling and replacing equipment, while your technician approached the situation with honesty and care.
The ability to connect on a personal level and genuinely address a client’s concerns means far more than pushing the sale of a new furnace. The leaks have stopped, and the furnace is now working normally again. Truly impressive work. Great job! -
I had a small toilet repair and larger project fixing a shower head leak that required going into a wall. Brandon was so helpful, and professional, dealing with both issues effectively and leaving the work spaces spotless. Because of B&D’s great communication and prompt, expert service I asked for a bid on (with a response the same day) and then hired them to do some major work replacing all my toilets as well as very old water heater, water softener, iron filter and reverse osmosis systems. Brandon and his coworker were on time, efficient, and so easy to have in my home as they did the work. They installed all the equipment in one day, carted off the old equipment, and left the work areas spotless. They answered all my questions as well. The equipment is working very well, and I have confidence should there be any issues they will stand by their work. I love supporting local businesses, and would highly recommend B&D .

My technician's name was Drew... Very professional. And personable. The work was done nicely. And in a timely manner. He came out on one of the hottest days the summer to repair my boiler. I would Recommend B&D. Their prices are reasonable in my opinion.

Very happy with the customer service; the scheduler was nice and attentive, and Brandon the plumber was prompt and very professional.
Noting that it's been 7 years since we last spent $350 to buy & install the now-failing disposal, I was prepared for maybe a $500 charge. I was therefore floored by the $1472 quote for replacing it with the same 1 hp Insinkerator. Assuming that the mfr now charges a lot more for the new ones (though heck -- it's just an electric motor), I approved it and have been happy with it. I did ask Brandon if it had WiFi and AI for that price. :)
I see that Home Depot is quoting $349 for the same model (880LT) and $239 for installation, which totals $588. Brandon did replace the plastic pipe from the dishwasher as part of that and noted the company's 1 yr warranty on top of the mfr's one. -
He installed the hot and cold water pipes in the wrong direction of shower tub

Horrible company, even worse drivers. Every-time I see their companies trucks, they’re always driving recklessly. Saw a tiktok of them cutting off a driver and instantly recognized their trucks and was finally able to find the company.

I am very disappointed with the service I received from B&D.
I appreciate that someone was able to come out and look at my furnace in a timely manner and that the issue of the condensate trap was able to be fixed.
What I do not appreciate is that I did not get a thorough diagnosis of my furnace's true issue and a well thought out plan for rectification.
No burn test was done to verify that the furnace was burning properly. At no time did the technician inform me that the sensor that was tripping wears out quickly if it trips frequently. The technician did not even look at the furnace filter (which needed to be replaced). Yes the coils are very dirty and that is a problem, but suggesting vacuuming them out might solve the problem was misleading.
After, vacuuming what he could reach in the coils, failed to alleviate the issue the technician jumped straight to suggesting replacing the blower and motor. A very costly repair that I now believe would be a complete waste.
I got a second opinion on the furnace and he pointed out several issues including noting that to properly clean the coils they need to be removed. With N shaped coils there is no way to reach a large part of them without taking them out. I feel like I was charged almost $900 for a poor diagnosis and some vacuuming. Further he suggested that maybe I should just get a new furnace and in that process the coils could be cleaned. I have since learned that ideally with N Shaped coils there should be some distance between those coils and the furnace. Which is not something your technician touched on leading me to believe even if I had gotten an all new furnace I might end up in the same situation again with premature furnace failure.
Again I am glad someone was able to come out and clean the condensate trap so the furnace would heat my house. For that I am thankful. But based on the rest of what was communicated and missed, and the price I was charged for an unsolved problem, I would recommend against using your services to anyone who asks me in the future. -
My original 1-star review appears to be missing, so I am reposting it with additional details after seeing response from B&D.
There was no water supply at 1:00 AM, so I called B&D at 7:00 AM. The Flo sensor showed normal usage until 10:30 PM, then a sudden pressure drop at 1:00 AM, after which the water shut off and never resumed.
Before the technician arrived, I confirmed with multiple neighbors that there was no city water outage. I explained this and showed him the Flo app data, but he was unfamiliar with the Flo sensor and spent time calling the city anyway. He then assumed the pipes had frozen, which did not make sense given the Not Very Cold temperature (compared to other cold winter nights) and the sudden (not gradual) pressure drop shown in the app within few hours of use.
When asked if he can manually operate or reset the Flo sensor, he incorrectly stated that it can only be controlled through the app - which is not true as per Flo sensor instructions and troubleshooting in Moen site. He also did not attempt other different methods of reset. Nearly an hour passed before he checked the main water line, which I believe should have been the first step.
After confirming the main line was fine, he provided three flat-rate options with no breakdown of parts or labor:
Replace smart shutoff valve: $1,340
Replace with standard ball valve: $571
Diagnostic only: $206
I questioned the pricing, since the Flo sensor costs $500–$600 retail and is a quick replacement using existing fittings, and asked for a labor-only option using my own part. He denied this and said the parts has to be purchased from them. Also, I questioned why a quick work to replace sensor with a manual valve is so expensive - he answered that it is because he had to spend a lot of time calling city and others for diagnostics and getting estimate.
With no other option, I chose to remove the sensor and install a manual valve, which took him about 10 minutes. While I appreciate that the work was completed quickly, the charge felt excessive. Also, a manual reset should have been attempted before concluding the sensor was defective.
Overall, the service felt inexperienced, overpriced, and not tailored to the actual issue. I recommend trying a Flo reset first, call Moen for technical assistance, and considering a local plumber if anyone experience similar issues.
