Water Damage Restoration reviews in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Tremendous initial response to emergency flooding situation and the teams had excellent continued follow-up and communication for several weeks afterwards. The owner, Scott, even worked out a complex billing problem for us personally which was extremely appreciated and gracious of him to do. Highly recommended.

Jose and Macael arrived promptly, worked efficiently and thoroughly, and communicated well. Jose set expectations for the scope and duration of their work, asked me whether I had anything to add, and let me know what would be happening after they left. Excellent!

Adam was outstanding as the project manager for my flood-damage repairs. From day one, he stayed on top of the project plan, coordinated every contractor, and kept the work moving smoothly from start to finish. His communication was clear and consistent, and he took the time to explain each step so I always knew what to expect.
Adam went above and beyond to make sure everything met my standards — catching issues before they became problems, advocating on my behalf, and making thoughtful recommendations along the way. His professionalism, organization, and attention to detail truly set him apart.
I’m extremely impressed with the final results and grateful for Adam’s leadership throughout the process. A well-earned 5-star rating. -
My condo building in downtown Minneapolis had a major water leak this winter (frozen pipe in an adjacent unit). The Servpro team was absolutely amazing - onsite almost immediately to help minimize the damage as it was unfolding. Then the mitigation phase for my specific unit was handled professionally and effectively with team assistance and excellent communication along the way ~ often during crazy hours and weekends. HUGE thank you to James Vargas (especially) and his team for helping me through this phase of the process!

I highly recommend the Servpro team that rescued me from my lower level flood following a burst pipe! Curtis and Hector responded quickly, professionally, and kindly, even coming on the weekend and on Christmas Eve day to be sure the drying out was done correctly. They continue to communicate clearly with myself and my insurance company as they work hard to fix the damage. It is a joy to be working with them- Curtis (project manager) and Hector are the BEST!

The technicians from Servpro did an outstanding job drying out water damage we had from a broken water valve. Colton and Doc were very helpful, personable, hardworking and professional. They answered all my questions and concerns fully. They did a great job checking and rechecking the progress as they worked to dry our wood flooring in the kitchen, a bedroom wall, ceiling, trim and carpet. The work was successfully completed in a timely way. I would definitely call them again and we highly recommend the Servpro team.

Servpro did a great job with my water remediation after my hot water heater leaked. They worked with my schedule and responded quickly. The team of Kimon and Owen were very professional and knowledgeable. They explained things to me and we talked about the process and figured out things together. The office team especially Vanessa was very helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great job! I would definitely call them again or recommend Servpro out of Minnetonka.

Updated 2/23:
Since my original post, the company has attempted to resolve the concerns below, but once again failed to competently do so & attempted to pay me to remove the review (clearly why their rating is much higher than I would expect).
See additional pictures regarding the grouting they added around our fireplace (only after request as they attempted to leave an uneven half inch gap originally) which isn't even the same color. They originally had to repair it after one of their team members broke it and did so with a matching color. Don't ask my why it's not possible now.
We engaged their assistance after a house fire so electrical work was need. We recently found that an outlet in our garage cannot be used at the same time as the water heater (never a problem before). They explained it was based on the wiring previously but never even mentioned it. So now, I have to choose between hot water and opening my garage door.
If I could give them -5 stars, I would.
Original:
Working with ServPro of Minnetonka has been, without a doubt, the worst experience I have ever had with any company. The entire process was a comedy of errors, characterized by an abysmal quality of work and a complete lack of professionalism, patience, and care.
The duration of the project, originally estimated to take six months, stretched out to an entire year. Even months after they initially declared the job "finished" (shortly before Thanksgiving), they continue to attempt to fix their myriad mistakes.
The issues with their work and conduct are extensive, but here are a few examples:
Substandard Workmanship & Incomplete Fixes:
Flooring: The installed flooring is profoundly uneven, features significant gaps throughout the house, and is surrounded by mismatching trim. Their "solution" to the gaps was to fill them haphazardly with white silicone, and the trim issues remain unresolved. The result is flooring that looks worse than what was damaged by the fire.
Missing Installations: They completely failed to install a necessary light switch in the laundry room, an error that took them weeks to finally correct.
Disregard for Property and Privacy:
Property Damage & Refusal to Repair: They broke the lock on our patio door but refused to repair it, stating the damage would need to go through our personal insurance.
Lost Key: They lost our house key that was secured in the lock box and showed a complete indifference to this major security concern.
Invasion of Privacy: After we moved back in, staff frequently entered our home without knocking or prior notice. Despite multiple requests for a heads-up, they continued to show up unannounced at various hours of the day.
The entire experience has been genuinely laughable at best, but I am truly not a picky person, but it has been impossible to ignore this constant string of failures. I urge anyone considering their services to save themselves the pain and choose literally any other company.
