Water Damage Restoration reviews in New Brighton, Minnesota

I called Rainbow Intl of Shoreview with some water damage. They were out to my home within 2 hours. They dried it out within 2 days and reconstruction started within a week of that. They have great communication and are very efficient. They also worked directly with my insurance company which made it so easy.

I am only giving Rainbow Restoration 1 star because “0 stars” is not an option.

To say our experience with Rainbow Restoration after our July 2025 garage fire was extremely frustrating and disappointing would be understatement!

Immediately after the fire, we were strongly encouraged to sign a contract with Rainbow because we were assured the rebuild would be completed by mid-October 2025. At first, communication was good, and we felt confident moving forward. However, as weeks turned into months, we repeatedly heard that the estimate was “almost done,” yet no estimate was ever submitted and no rebuild work ever began.

We were also told that garage trusses had already been ordered and would arrive within six weeks, which we later discovered was not true. By September, the rebuild estimate still had not even been completed. Meanwhile, our garage remained exposed to rain and approaching winter weather, creating additional stress and concern about further damage to our property.

Eventually, we were referred to Pillar Construction, and the difference was immediate. Cassaundra at Pillar quickly took action, arranged temporary power and lighting we had requested months earlier, and promptly submitted an estimate so the project could finally move forward.

What added to our frustration was later discovering that Rainbow International had been paid over $32,000 through our insurance claim for debris removal, attic insulation replacement, cleaning, and storage of belongings. While we understand insurance handled those payments, we were shocked by the amount considering the rebuild itself never even got started.

Overall, our experience with Rainbow Restoration involved delays, poor communication, misinformation, and unmet promises during an already stressful time. Based on our experience, we would not recommend them.
