David and his team came to mitigate some water damage in our basement caused by an ice dam. They were here within the hour and were able to dry everything promptly and even offered suggestions on how to stop the issue from happening again. Highly recommend!

After discovering a water leak in a drain pipe in my home, I wanted to have someone come out and take a look at the damage to see if any remediation was required.

I was referred to Dave of Rainbow. Dave came out and assessed the damage. Dave was both friendly and very helpful -- he answered all my questions, even the ones only tangentially related to the water damage problem. :-) Dave is clearly very knowledgable about houses in general.

It turned out that the water damage was only cosmetic and required no repair. Still, it is comforting to have an expert provide their opinion when it comes to protecting your home. Thank you for your help, Dave! I know who I will be calling for any future restoration work that I (hopefully don't) need!

The worst experience I have ever had.
I hired this company after some water damage in a rental unit that I own. The person I worked with was David. After the work was completed, I thought that was the end of it. David sent me a bill over a year later and demanded that I pay it, but he also threatened me with a lien amongst others derogatory remarks. After calling my insurance company in tears, I came to find out that the process was not explained to me by David. Apparently there is a two-step process, again which was never explained. Long story short, my insurance covered both steps in the end. I will never work with or recommend this company. Terrible customer service.

Jeff was super kind and helpful to our family throughout the process of getting our possessions taken care of after our garage collapsed. Always easy to reach, and their team provided excellent service. Thank you!

We had a leaky valve due to freezing over the winter that flooded most of our basement. What started out as a nightmare was resolved just days later! Dave brought the equipment over, including a "super-vacuum" that sucked up 40 gallons of water that first night, then positioned many giant fans and super dehumidifier to get our basement completely dried out in days. And the carpet is cleaner than it's been in years down there :) Dave was extremely friendly and explained the problems/resolutions in an easy-to-understand way! He was very professional through it all and helped us understand next steps, who to call, etc. He submitted the invoice very timely straight to our insurance company with no hiccups. The Trinkas are very happy with Rainbow of Shoreview! Hope we won't need to call them anytime soon...but they'll be the first to call should we have any type of "event" like this again. David and his team were out at my place of business shortly after calling them for some water damage! Did a precise and timely manner job. Able to remove all of the water out of the basement and dried up all the carpet areas that got wet. Definitely recommend with any restoration issue!

Jake, Warren, and Jeff are about as stellar as guys come. After fretting for so many months about the mold in our basement and attic, they arrived with a fancy meter and alleviated our fears—our mold levels were fine. Their honesty meant they didn't make any money, but, it raised their karma—big-time.

Rainbow Restoration Shoreview helped me out with some water damage recently. They were prompt to come out and assess the damage and helped me work through insurance. While it took some time to get everything back to normal, they made sure everything was done to expectation. Their staff are friendly and addressed my concerns without issue. I highly recommend Rainbow International of Shoreview for Water Damage mitigation and Fire Restoration. Rainbow was referred to me by my insurance company after our sewer line backed up. Rainbow demonstrated trustworthiness and integrity as outlined below.
David Breen as Franchise owner worked on weekends to complete the rebuild for the completion deadline due to family emergencies.
His attention and memory to detail is uncanny. I never felt like I was bothering him when I called him with questions. His project supervisor Ken contacted me with updates in a timely manner. Hanna, his receptionist is fantastic! You hear such positive energy in her voice which shows she loves her job even when she has to hear from stressed out clients. (ME)
David even had the carpet reinstalled on the basements steps as he was not satisfied with original workmanship the first time.
David’s experience from the insurance side is an added value along with being an owner operator, we did not have to deal with extra bureaucracy from the insurance company and a larger restoration company.
David has such integrity, he even referred me to one of his subcontractors Granite and Marble Direct to replace my countertops.
We are so satisfied with the job Rainbow International and David Breen did at our house, my brother in law has now hired Rainbow International to take care of the fire restoration project on his house.
In the early stages of this project, David has been to the house every day to make sure the temporary power is on for the Sump Pump. He found an efficiency to restore power in a timelier manner which in the long run will also save money without compromising quality and safety.
He has thoroughly documented all the contents, and has the most up to date software to help us record the contents to make this overwhelming process more streamlined.

Chris, Jake, Nick & Ken have done an exemplary job from working with the insurance adjuster to the reconstruction. Excellent communication on all aspects of the job. Craftsmanship & quality of work are their top priority. I am so pleased with the entire team. I will recommend them to everyone!!

I would NOT recommend working with Rainbow Restoration! We are very disappointed with our experience there and feel others should be aware. When they admitted they made a grave error, they walked away and have completely avoided us and dealing with the situation.

A Rainbow employee came out to our home to inspect our attic for mold on May 16, 2024. He spent time in our attic “thoroughly inspecting” it and also using an air filtration meter to determine we had no humidity, no mold or air issues present in our attic. We had the inspection done because we are currently selling our home and the prospective buyers said their mold company did find mold in our attic. David, the owner of Rainbow, gave us a report stating there was NO mold in our attic. We gave the buyers for our house the report, but they walked away from the sale agreement because they didn’t believe Rainbow's report. We lost the sale of our home and then had to find out how to resolve the discrepancy between the two mold reports so we could re-list our home. David, Rainbow’s owner, came out to our home himself on Friday, June 14, to inspect our attic. He said he found the presence of mold right away and didn’t need to take a lab sample. He said his guy “screwed up” and missed seeing it as well as seeing signs on the air filtration meter. Unfortunately, that error and the report he provided us (which states we have no mold in the attic) caused us to lose the sale of our home. We believed Rainbow’s report since it states that our attic was inspected thoroughly and was free of mold. Now he’s saying we do have mold and the cost of Remediation is estimated to be $8,000. We have asked David if he would help resolve the issue with us because his error has had huge consequences - way above this cost! He's ignoring us and the situation - no responses to emails or phone calls. We think it’s important to share this information with others - Rainbow has poor integrity, poor accountability, and poor standards. Don't take your chances working with them.

Was referred to David by our realtor. He came out and made some observations about our sump pump systems and provided recommendations for remediation. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

After discovering a major water leak in the late afternoon, two days before a holiday, Dave, the owner of Rainbow Restoration of Shoreview, arrived within an hour and a half to assess the damage. The next morning Jonathan and Warren arrived with gigantic fans and dehumidifiers to begin the process of drying out our flooring. They checked in nearly every day to check the humidity levels. All three gentlemen were friendly and polite, took time to answer our questions, turned in reports for insurance, and gave us an idea of "next steps," to be taken. Without hesitation, we would call on this company again.

We are so very grateful for Chris and Ken at Rainbow Shoreview. They were both phenomenal. I can’t imagine any company could provide better service than what we received from them. Chris and Ken took all the stress off of us and communicated so efficiently with our insurance company. They really went to bat for us making the process easy and smooth for my family. It was amazing and we didn’t have to do anything! They took care of it all. They definitely have a gift in working with insurance companies and fairly getting our damaged house the proper repairs. Their communication with us was respectful, clear, timely, and top notch. The work they completed was high quality and it looks amazing. I 100% recommend them to anyone who needs this work. You won’t go wrong if you go with Chris and Ken.

We couldn’t be more satisfied with the service we received from Rainbow restoration. After discovering a huge water leak at 01:30 on a Saturday morning, David got to our home by 3 AM .Once all of the fans and dehumidifiers were in place Warren and Levi came out the following Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and finally Thursday and removed all the fans. Warren and Levi were so kind , personal and professional ! I can’t thank them enough if I could give them 10 stars I would. Next week the project manager will be coming to the home to do the final inspection and mitigation. We will keep you posted.

With water damage in my home, my insurance company had Rainbow restoration remove damaged items from my property as well as restore my couch. Gentlemen who came to inspect, remove, and replace items were very respectful-even acknowledged it must be a rough time for me. Although my couch could not be restored, it seems they made their best efforts. Customer service was always very helpful and knowledgeable. All in all, it was a very easy, timely, and fine experience considering the circumstances.
