My garden is everything to me and having beautiful green grass is like the icing on the cake. After searching around and looking at reviews, I knew Sod Smith was the way to go. I am very picky and I wanted my lawn to be perfect. I had some issues getting my sod to kick off, but Micah (owner) came out personally to work through it with me. He addressed the problems, adjusted all my spinklers and the timing. He absolutely set me up for success. I am so thankful. Their whole team is super knowledgeable and invested in making sure you get the best result. They also play great music during install! 20+++/10 experience!

I’m unreasonably picky about my lawn, so I tore out an existing lawn that had several spots full of weed grasses.

Sod Smith helped me repair terrible workmanship that was performed by a different company. The first company did a poor job of sod removal, did almost no leveling, and laid poor quality sod.

Kaleb, Micah and team were excellent. They kept us informed at every step, did a great job installing the sod, and helped ensure we had enough watering coverage (even coming back to adjust a sprinkler). 10/10, if we moved we'd go with them if we ever need more help with our lawn.

Wanted to love it- but neither the product or service was on point. A section of our yard was forgotten for sod installation but they finished it when I requested. The team left mid-afternoon and said they were going to a different job site. They forgot to grade it- but came back and did some grading a few days later. At that time they spotted some questionable sections of sod and replaced them. I wish I would have been told about the sprinkler system/maintenance plan at time of installation (or before). It has been almost 30 days and we are now full of dandelions and weeds. Most people I spoke to at Sod Smith were friendly and professional- they emphasized 100% satisfaction. They did offer to potentially replace some browning sections and install the sprinkling system at a discounted rate- but my lack of confidence in the company left me with too many doubts to invest any more money or time in the process. I truly believe they want to do a good job, but may be in a little over their head this summer. My 3 stars is for the effort and good intentions of the company- otherwise I’d rank it lower.

The Sod Smith crew were great! So knowledgeable, considerate, respectful, and accommodating to our needs. They did a very neat job of laying the new sod and creating mulched areas in the yard. The newly sodded and landscaped areas are beautiful. The Sod Smith crew really took pride in a job well done and cared about our property. They also instructed us on how to care for our new sod before they left and followed up with comprehensive written instructions. In addition they were highly responsive to our questions prior, during, and after installation. I would highly recommend Sod Smith and will definitely use their services again. We couldn’t be happier with our sod installation and landscaping.

What can I say, but the yard looks amazing! The guys were able to work around our irrigation installation schedule by removing the the existing remains of our old yard and leaving a clean slate for the irrigation team. Sod Smith then came out a day after the irrigation installation and smoothed out the yard one more time, added some black dirt and put down a beautiful surface of sod. Thank you for the excellent work!

Kaleb and the Sod Smith team are great to work with. They are very good at being flexible with unique situations. We needed to take our irrigation and sod installation in 2 phases. I picked Sod Smith over a couple of other bids despite them not being the lowest bid (they were the middle bid) because Kaleb had a detailed plan of what he would do with the backyard. He recommend specific grading for some tricky parts of the yard as well as gave me some installation date options that would fit with some other work i was having planned in the yard. On the day of the install they showed up on time and split the work over a couple of days. The crew was very good natured and respectful and I appreciated Micah's communication. An exposed cable line was accidentally cut and I appreciated Micah's honesty and willingness to rectify the situation. All in all a good experience and I would highly recommend this company.

Everything went smoothly and fast. They responded to my request right away and within a week we got the new sods. Our front yard was destroyed by those grubs and then the weeds took over. The Sod Smith team tilled the ground, got rid of all the weeds, added the grub controller and fertilizer, then installed the new sods.

The crew members cleaned up the dirt and debris nicely and our yard is looking great now.

Micah and Adam removed old weedy lawn, prepared the bed, and laid new sod. They also prepped one area for garden plantings.

If you’re looking for a company to give you HONEST advice on what you need or don’t need - call and get a quote! Kaleb helped me figure out that sod won’t actually be likely to work for my yard but helped talk through all the possibilities. They’re not going to push you to get something you don’t need just so they can get a sale - they want you to have a great looking yard for YEARS … not just the current season! 10/10 recommend! After my initial contact, everything was done within 6 days. They replaced half of our front yard lawn and cleaned up the sidewalks nicely. We thought the price was reasonable.
