Mom's Landscaping & Design wins more industry awards than any company, I know and it deserves every one. Talented designers, hard-working crews. Super creative. They are especially good at designing waterfront landscapes, outdoor fireplaces and operable pergolas that convert from open-air patios to screen-enclosed porches. Oh, and anyone for a potted palm tree?

We hired Mom's Design Build ten years ago to do an extensive backyard pool and patio project at our home. This summer one of the pergolas they constructed collapsed due to rot. The inspector cited poor workmanship as the reason for the rot and related collapse. We emailed Jim Sweeney at Mom's on June 26th for advice on how to have the pergola reconstructed. It's now more than one month later and we have not heard from Mom's. We are very disappointed at both the lack of quality of their construction and their lack of responsiveness.

This is the 2nd design Mom’s has done for me—-20+ years ago, a corner lot with lots of space & design options. This time--a postage stamp-sized courtyard! Mom’s came through—a cozy, nature filled oasis with natural stone fountain, trellises for vertical gardening, & “no mow” grass. I like that 20 + years on, Jim has some of the same talented staff-designer (kudos to Becca & Craig & to Jim for running a solid company); Tony kept an eye out for me as project mgr and Tony & team- the hands-on perfectionists. I partnered with Mom’s a year ago for a pergola and landscape project. The results far exceeded my expectations! They thought of design and function elements that I hadn’t even considered. We went through a full landscaping project with Moms in fall 2024 including a new retaining wall, new patio, new patio paver path around the house, fencing and plantings. The entire process was as seamless as it gets. MOMS was on top of everything. Service level is five stars for sure. The crew that worked on our project was so kind, respectful, clean, responsive and fast working too. Absolutely would not hesitate to hire MOMS again. Five stars for sure!

I hired Mom’s Design Build to work on a moderately large scale landscaping project late last summer.
We moved into our home 6 years ago and discovered that our backyard, which sits in a basin, was so damp and shaded that no matter what we tried was a bad environment for keeping grass alive.
We consulted with a few landscaping companies before deciding to move forward with Mom’s. They mentioned turf for the back yard, which initially made me nervous because I was concerned it wouldn’t look real. It was hands down the best decision for us. The upkeep is minimal and our backyard looks absolutely incredible (the turf looks more real than I could have imagined).
Everyone we worked with was really, truly talented, hardworking and to top it off honest about pricing and timeline of project. They answered any of my questions (and I had a lot!) happily.
I would recommend Mom’s Design Build to anyone looking for a team of people who will go above and beyond any expectations that you might have!
