Jay installed tracking and keyboard tray on my desk. Ran into a problem as tracking was too long for the desk so he had an immediate solution to cut a small hole in the back of the desk for the tracking to go through. Genius! It worked wonderfully. He did a superb job in a very short period of time. No mess and it works great.

Jay helped spruce up a rental unit of mine by patching all the holes in the walls, replacing a fan, installing window blinds, cutting out mold and re-framing a shower window, and completely re-framing and replacing an entry door.

I was nervous about trying a floating floor in my kitchen but after talking with Jay and having him explain thinks to me throughly. I went with it. He did an outstanding job. I am more then pleased with his work. He took pride in his work and wanted to make sure to do it the way I liked best. From prep to cleanup he left my house neat and tidy. I will hire him as often as I have projects. Great to work with.

Jay worked on two projects with us. Completing some tile trim and painting on a bathroom remodel and resurfacing some (very) old attic stair treads. All of his work is precise and clean. The finished products exceed expectations. His business practice is honest, fair, and polite.

I went with him because his reviews are spotless, and it is clear to see why :) He had good communication, answered all of my asinine questions on the framing project, and did great work. As someone who had no clue what they were doing, I really respected his patience with me and exceptional knowledge.

Jay replaced interior and exterior doors, replaced molding, and corrected an attic access stairway that had been installed incorrectly by someone else. Super professional job; quick, clean and highly detail oriented. Easy to communicate with, on time and definitely worth it. Highly recommended and I’ll continue to hire him for my projects.

Jay did an excellent job of a minor home repair and even moving a heavy safe! He is very personable, professional, fast, clean with great detail to his work. I could go on! He is a local jem and I am glad to have him in my area! Will definitely use him again!

Jay has helped out at our house three times now. Each time we have a list of projects - some we could do ourselves if we had more time and others that we would never touch. He has been very professional and up-front about which jobs he can take on. He also informs us of anything that might raise the cost due to additional materials or complexity. And of course he can do in a couple hours what would probably take us all weekend. That alone is worth it. Very knowledgeable with reasonable rates - highly recommend.

Jay was fantastic. I recently moved to the area and needed help hanging large pictures, artwork, shelving, etc. Jay took time and precision in all of the work he did. He was patient and professional. Each item he hung, he made sure it was precisely measured and hung with the appropriate hardware. He also built an IKEA file cabinet for me. In my experience, IKEA furniture has always been a nightmare to construct but Jay handled the job extremely well. I will be contacting Jay for any future handyman items. I highly recommend him.

Jay painted my building space and he did an excellent job. He is punctual polite, very professional and he sure knows what he is doing. Not only his pricing is reasonable but his work exceeds my expectation. In addition he does more than what we agree to make very sure that the painting is of great quality.

Jay is excellent at communication and does very professional work. I had a light and a ceiling fan installed with ease. I will most certainly contact him again with other jobs.

We had Jay install exterior doors and storm doors for us. He answered all of our questions promptly and honestly. The work was completed within his promised timeframe and his craftsmanship is outstanding. One of our doors was not framed properly (rough opening too narrow) and Jay worked his magic to get everything squared away. We highly recommend Jay for his stellar workmanship and professionalism!

I am very pleased with Jay Freitag's carpentry work. I first met him a couple of yrs ago when he helped me fix things at a rental property to comply with inspection codes. About 7 months ago, we had our flooring replaced with a thicker carpet so we had him re-size our closet doors by cutting them down. In recent weeks, he framed and insulated our new bathroom addition, removed concrete blocks and re-patched the floor, installed a recessed medicine cabinet, framed and installed a new door, installed door and bathroom hardware, disposed of excess materials from the construction work (and extraneous cabinetry in the garage), and I'm sure other work I forgot to mention. Jay doesn't seem to waste any time, is energetic, responsive, and has a positive attitude. He is also upfront and clear in his communication to keep my expectations realistic and his pricing is always fair. I've worked with many different service contractors and I think Jay is exceptional!

Jay is FANTASTIC at what he does and even better to work with! He's communicative, reliable, skilled and efficient. Without his help and his repeated visits back to our house to help with the renovations, we would never have been able to finish all of the work. Finding a good handyman can be extremely hard, finding a excellent handyman is even more difficult...but search no more, Jay is the absolute best. We will be using Jay for YEARS to come.

Don’t hesitate to hire Jay for all your handyman needs. He recently completed some electrical work for us (changed ceiling fan and installed new white outlets). He also replaced 6 old interior doors and a laundry room closet door for us. His work is impeccable. His communication is outstanding. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work Jay did in our home.
