I just had 2ash trees removed ,a stump, trees between property and a tree pruning today. Mike and his crew were fantastic. They were very careful and cleaned up the whole area better than any other service I've hired .I love my pruned up tree can't wait till spring to see it with leaves .I would recommend A CUT ABOVE for all your tree needs.

We were extremely happy with A Cut Above Tree Service of White Bear Lake. The service was fast and efficient. They worked with our existing fence so we didn’t have to remove the fence posts. The impressively got our tree to fall right between the fence posts without a scratch! The clean up was pristine. We highly recommend A Cut Above Tree Service!

We had 2 dead ash trees in our front yard and they made taking them down look EASY (it's not, we considered it and hired professionals instead). Excellent communication, very professional team and great clean up. Taking down and cleaning up the debris from 2 trees took them hardly an hour! Mike and his crew did an OUTSTANDING job! Not only did they cut down two trees for us but they also cleaned up the mess we left from trying to do it ourselves. They went above and beyond our expectations. The work was conducted safely and efficiently. They were on time, professional, friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable, taking time to explain the process and answering our questions. Nothing was too much trouble and they left the yard looking spotless. I would highly recommend this company.

Had large birch tree removed today, and everything went seamlessly! The team worked well together and came right on time at 730 am. Also trimmed an extra small birch at no cost and trees bordering our neighbors property. Very appreciative of these extra services. One piece of their equipment even needed repair, but they kept doing the job manually to keep on a tight schedule. We are grateful we no longer have to worry about that tree falling over in a storm, and have been enjoying the extra light we receive inside our home. We were able to watch most of the process, and they took the tree down very professionally without hitting our shed, home or anything else on the way down. Very helpful and communication by the crew and prior on the phone were all top notch. Price was great, and the service was too. Would definitely use again for any tree removal or trimming needs!!

Mike and his team did a great job. They came out a few times at our request to make sure we had the details of the job worked out. Communication was good. We had three large trees (two maples and a ash) removed from our suburban back yard. They got it all done in one day and cleaned up. Mike is great to work with and very personable. Well worth the money.

Unbelievable service! I had a large tree taken down and 3 large trees trimmed. Mike and his team did a amazing job. The clean up of my yard and street was perfect. This company, including Mike's wife Anna, were friendly, professional and efficient. One of the most positive experiences I've ever had. Would 100% recommend. (FYI, they were the lowest bid of the four I got) So happy!!

I couldn’t be happier with the service and communication I received. I had them out to cut down 5 trees, 4 which were dead, and they had it done in one day. They did the job with precision and hauled everything away to their shredder and left no debris behind. They went above and beyond by cleaning out my gutters due to a tree hanging over them and dropping leaves into it. Did I mention they came in at less than HALF the price of another quote I received? I will be sure to recommend A Cut Above to all my friends and family. A added bonus of going with them is that they will be back in about a week to do the stump grinding as well. Many tree services I contacted did not do stump grinding. I will be sure to recommend A Cut Above to all my friends and family.

Update got my tree cut down 900 dollars cheaper than mikes special deal quote. I would never use this company . The owner mike pounded on my door three separate times at 7:45 am after we didn’t answer our doorbell, He rang it three times before pounding on the door. So, I raced to the door thinking it was an emergency. He was soliciting his tree service and asked if I wanted a tree in the front yard cut down. I told him I'm not interested. He kept trying to sell me on getting my tree cut down saying he is all set up and can give me a good deal. I said again I am not interested. Then I asked if that was necessary to knock so hard on my front door and that I was sleeping because I work until 4 am and he just woke up our baby. He just said OK. The guy showed no remorse and started arguing that he didn’t knock that hard and told me to check my ring doorbell. Not one apology. A few minutes later I noticed they were standing around in my yard smoking cigarettes, so I asked the owner to please get off my property which the owner tried to argue more than I just walked away. Later found cig butts in my yard. They were working on the house across the street and because he was rude, I told him he has no need to be in my yard. They continued to leave their chainsaws and tools in my yard, but I left it alone. Update the owner came back 3 hours later after my father came over to say hi to our kids and take them to the library. The rude owner Mike started getting in an argument with my dad who knew nothing about what happened earlier. Then I came out of the house to tell my dad don't waste your time with this guy he is rude. The rude owner walked up my driveway and approached me to start another argument he got really close. He said a half apology saying sorry but how was he supposed to know you and your baby were sleeping. I told him I do not care you were crazy rude before. Then I asked him to leave me alone and get off my property which we were half way up my driveway . Three times I said get off my property and He refused to leave and kept trying to argue with me and stepping towards me. My dad came over yelling telling him to just listen and leave me alone.Only once he noticed my dad pulled out his phone and was recording him, He left my driveway and started recording me. After that my dad started telling his coworkers to get the tools off my lawn. One guy apologized for the owner's behavior and stated, "that guy is a jerk, but he isn't". Then I said to that coworker I appreciate it but that the owner would just not leave me alone and has been rude. The coworker began screaming and cursing at the owner. That guy was respectable, meanwhile The owner Mike ran off to sit in his truck and video tape us.Now the owner is making up his excuse under this review don’t believe him.My father and I did not once threaten him we only asked him to get off my property and leave me alone which again he refused.WE called the police because after all that the owner was kept waving at us as he was working trying to provoke me and I didn't want him to come back on to my property at this point I was worried about the safety of my kids and wife.The police said he will tell him he will not go back on my property or else he will be arrested. The Police also said I just have to send in my ring footage to get him to work on getting him cited or else it is just hearsay. I wouldn’t have had any problem if he would have just left me alone when I said get off my property the first time, but he kept coming back so unprofessional.I have never once spoken to those neighbors. This guy is just a liar . We have clear video of me asking him 3 times to get off my property and him refusing and not leaving my driveway. That’s definitely something someone does when he is just trying to apologize and deescalate the situation. Mike is now calling my review harassment what a joke. He has rewritten his statement under my review so many times I’ve lost count, Changing his story over and over. I would believe all his bad reviews, he has an excuse under everyone of them.

Cut Above just ground out 16 stumps on our hobby farm over the weekend. Very professional and very reasonably priced. Mike and Anna responded in a very timely manner to my request for a bid and worked diligently to get our project on the schedule. Anna handled all of the details and challenges that arose with the "call before you dig" services. Communication overall was prompt, clear and efficient.

We used Cut Above a few years ago to remove several trees that were well beyond my abilities. The experience back then was much the same as this weekend. That's why we went back to them for this project why we'll got right back to them for any future needs.

They did an amazing job taking down the two large silver maples. The crew was great and very courteous and answered all questions we had during the project. Can't wait for them to come back later this year for the stump grinding. Will definitely use them again.

Had a storm take put the top of a maple in my back yard. They came out, gave me an estimate which was very fair and came back with a crew in 3 days to remove that section which was hung up outside my back door. I was impressed with the professionalism. Going to have them back in the spring to remove both of these troublemakers...
P.S. My dog liked them too... if you trust your dog...

I hired A Cut Above Tree Service to remove a large tree that had fallen on my garage as well as a diseased Ash tree in my backyard. From the initial conversation with Mike, who explained the process in detail, to the completion of the work, everything was handled professionally. On the scheduled day of service, I noticed communication, organization and safety were top priorities with Mike and the crew. They did an amazing job safely removing the trees and cleaning up. Highly recommend! We noticed on Sunday that our ash tree was cracked and about to fall. Through a recommendation we found A Cut Above and they came out right away on Monday to look at the tree. This tree needed to come down ASAP. They had their crew out on Tuesday and got the job done in just a few hours. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I couldn't believe how precise they were able to be with taking this large tree down. They didn't let a leaf fall where they didn't want it to go. After the tree came down we saw the tree had cracked all the way to the base, so glad they knew this was urgent and took it out before anyone was hurt or it fell. Many of our neighbors were also impressed and asked for their info. Great job, so happy we used them!

The guys came out today to remove 3 trees. They entered through my neighbors yard. They took the time to blow the dew off the grass to help minimize the damage. The fell the trees where they planned and the cleanup was exceptional. The crew was professional and worked like a well oiled machine. They did a great job and will use them again. I will gladly recommend them to anyone needing tree work done.
