Constraction reviews in White Bear Township, Minnesota

Carter custom construction installed my gas fireplace. I just love it! they did such a fabulous job. thanks again guys!

My goodness. These guys are the best contractors I have ever seen - and I've seen a few. They did a fireplace and custom cabinetry on a wall in our basement. Just beautiful. They were organized, flexible to our schedule, came on time, and did high quality work on a complex project. Benny the owner was extremely sharp and responsive. Unqualified highest recommendation.

Finish our project in July 2016

Highly recommend! The owner, office staff, and tradesmen for this company are knowledgeable, skilled, considerate of your time and respectful of how the renovation will affect you and your home. Our new deck and French door installation is a job well done!

Carter Custom installed a wood burning fireplace in my home. It is absolutely beautiful! I'm getting great use out of it. The quote I received was fair and I am happy with the value. The workers were prompt, professional and kept the site clean. I highly recommend!

Highly recommend Carter Custom Construction for your fireplace needs. the team was incredible to work with on our new Heat & Glow install on our new 3 season porch and servicing of our older fireplace. Professionalism abound!

They were able to come out quickly to check our fireplace. They were kind and professional.

Carter was a fantastic company to work with! They did a great job taking down my old deck and replacing it with a beautiful deck! They kept me informed throughout the whole process and were very easy to work with! I highly recommend using them for all of your deck needs!

Carter was a fantastic company to work with. My wife and I had basically redesigned an entire floorplan and Carter essentially ended up building an entirely new house on the existing foundation for us. The end result was nothing short of amazing. They were very fast and the quality was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend Carter Custom Construction to anyone with any type of home improvement needs.

Great and fast service ( fireplace).
i've known Carter construction company for 20 years, and I always have the best experience with my projects. Thank you for your help and knowledge.

Carter Custom Construction installed 2 gas fireplaces for us. In the bidding process we had a couple of companies come onsite to estimate and make a proposal. Neither could come up with a practical or cost effective solution. Then I called Benny. Routing the gas line was particularly tricky. Carter Construction came up with a creative plan that no one else had even considered. The installation went very smoothly and the fireplaces really make the 2 rooms nice and cozy. I’d highly recommend these guys, especially if you face a challenging installation.

We love our new screen porch! We had a great experience working with Carter Custom Construction, Benny and Jon were incredibly attentive through out construction. The quality of work was exceptional. The same crew of guys that were here everyday were very professional and hardworking. My husband and I are very pleased with our new screen porch and would recommend Carter to anyone looking to build a screen porch.

We have used Carter Custom Construction for two major home upgrades, a deck and a finished basement. Both projects turned out absolutely amazing! From the custom design process all the way through the final walkthrough, the crew from Carter made sure we were 100% satisfied! We highly recommend Carter Custom Construction for any home improvement projects you've been dreaming up!

We had Carters build our deck and do some work in our basement and are very pleased with how both projects turned out. Jon Tabor and Benny Carter are very professional and responsive through all phases of the project - planning, build and completion. They are very easy to work with and are very patient with many questions we had along the way. Same experience with all the crew that came onsite for the work. Will definitely go back to them for any future projects and have recommended to many of our friends !

We have worked together with Carter Construction for over two years. We could not be happier with the results of our remodeling project.

Outstanding communication from the moment we sought a bid until completion of our deck project. Benny and Nicky were quick and responsive to any questions we had; whether it be questions regarding differences in materials (construction, pricing, etc) to estimated build time. Their bid was competitive and the work was top notch. The crew was polite and friendly as well. I would highly recommend Carter Custom Construction for your deck project.

We had the best experience with Carter Custom from start to finish! My husband and I communicated with Benny, Jon and Nicky numerous times and it was always very easy to get a hold of them and receive responses back as well. Aside from that, our deck is simply amazing. I am beyond thrilled with the detail they added and how quickly they could finish it. It looks better than I ever could have imagined and fits the aesthetic of our home perfectly. I would have no doubts recommending this company to anyone.

Jeremy did a great job diagnosing the issue with our gas fireplace and then thoroughly cleaning, repainting, reassembling and doing a final quality check, all in just a little over an hour! Highly recommended! We are a repeat customer having found Carter some years ago!

Benny Carter delivered an exceptional presentation for HalfMoon Education's "Commercial and High-End Residential Deck Design and Construction" webinar on January 10, 2025. Attendees rated Mr. Carter highly, praising his thoroughness and expertise on the topic. I highly recommend Mr. Carter as a knowledgeable and skilled professional in this field.

Carter custom construction is great to work with! We worked with them several years ago for an interior fireplace remodel and just recently after a storm caused exterior damages to our home/chimney. Both processes went smoothly due to great communication and their knowledgeable team!

We are so excited about our bathroom remodel! Carter Construction's team took our dated 90's bathroom and brought us into the 21st century with a modernized, yet classic, look. Communication from the project manager, Jon Tabor, was amazing as there are many moving parts with construction projects. The sub-contractors were polite and professional. I highly recommend their services!
