Told me that I only had a 5 year warranty on my system when in reality I had a 10 year and I knew it... Tried to charge me $1500 to replace a compressor (not under warranty according to them).. When I proved it was still in warranty (which they clearly already knew and were trying to get me to pay for a part they were going to get for free cause Im a female and they figured they could) they decided they could do it for $700... Long story short I am getting my compressor replaced in warranty by Darst heating and air for less than $200. I recommend no one ever call this rip off place!

Furnace wouldn’t work in a house of ours. Called Down Home Heating & Air as we’ve known the owner for a long time. A few of his guys came out within an hour and had the furnace back working quickly to warm the house on a terribly cold day. Would recommend them to anyone asking for service.

Very timely, friendly & knowledgeable group of guys. Fixed an issue that I'd had quoted through other local companies at $250 plus, for $40. It wasn't what I was told it was by more than 1 other company. I've yet to have another issue. Will definitely use these these guys again.

when we moved to the area, we selected a few companies to come give us an estimate. Brandon, from Down Home not only came out with the best solution for our unique 1960 ranch style home, but did extra research to answer the questions I had about Mini Split systems. That's been 4 years ago. We were hit with lightning in 2018, taking down the system. During a really hot spell, once again, Down Home jumped to the task of helping us get cool again! Choose them and you'll be pleased.

Got home from work with my 3 kids and the air was only blowing out cold. I typically like to shop local so I called Down Home to come out. They came out that evening and "fixed" our problem. The next morning their was no air blowing out at all. After work I texted about this and got a "sorry you have a broken furnace" back. I was told there would be another charge and that this was not their fault. Their "fix" lasted less than 12 hours. When I called and expressed concern about getting more charges the owner was extremely unprofessional/rude and yelled that "they would just give me my money back and to call someone else." Over a week later still no refund. I sent multiple texts and upon reporting them to the BBB the owner said they block all calls and texts from my number and blocked me from their fb page. (But "he's not a child and doesn't owe me an apology" lol) I called a much more reputable company that has been in business for many more decades. A tech with 30 years experience came out the same night and discovered many other issues with the unit in a matter of minutes. This tech took the time to actually show me and explain what was wrong. He showed me that the part Down Home put on was universal and said that he has only ever used unit/brand specific parts, not to mention the few other things that were obviously wrong. The new company's charge was the same as Down Home and they actually fixed my issue. The new company said they would come out every day if necessary at no extra charge bc they guarantee their work. I never got an apology bc "he's not a child." If that were the case, a simple phone call with an apology for the behavior wouldn't be that difficult for an adult. Never ever use this company unless you want a continuous nickel and diming situation with inexperienced or undertrained technicians.

Over 90 degrees out, 6 pm, on a Saturday our A/C went out. Josh was here quickly and got it back up in no time! Great company, great prices, and even better people! I can not wait to refer business for them, thank you!

Josh has even came after hours to help us. He could have put us off until his next available appointment, but instead missed time with family to help us. Our furnace quit working and it was 16 outside. I called for a quote, and they asked me what the symptoms were. I told him, and he told me what needed to be done to fix it. He said they could come out or I could try to fix it, and that he would help me over the phone. I found the part and cleaned it like he said to do, and my furnace now works. Such wonderful people to help me fix it. We used them for our a/c a few years ago and they were great then. Thank you so much!

We’ve used Down Home for 10-ish years in three different homes, and I have nothing but good things to say. They’ve come out in below zero weather, hot summer temps, and are always quick to show up (like, within a couple of hours quick) Brandon and Josh are the best and do a good job explaining problems and fixes. We trust them and their work. We won’t use anyone else!
