Electrical reviews in Kansas City, Missouri

Was very impressed from the phone call to find out if my toll was available, to the young lady at security check point, to the woman at the will call counter. Everyone did an exceptional job!

I didn't know what to expect when I walked in Grainger. The place is very well maintained. From the bathrooms to the docks, everything was organized and efficient. Favorite things? Grainger has a work out room with a view, a chill out area and showers so you can go from work to play without being stinky. Excited to see what it's like to work there.

Long wait to get through security gate. Ordered electrical part over phone for 30 minutes before customer service got done asking for information. Went to WILL CALL an hour later to pick part. Wrong part. Replaced order and waited in lobby for another 45 minutes until the nice receptionist told me that SHE would go back and get it for me since I had waited so long. She had it in 5 minutes. A different but still wrong part again, but I took it anyway and jerry-rigged it to work. Total time lost was 4 hours to get one simple capacitor.

They were average speed on getting my items outside to me. Not slow but not quick, that was ok, but they need to get over the not letting you use the restroom policy. For real!!

I made my first visit to this distribution center Friday afternoon and was greeted by the security officer on duty Herbert.
I could tell Herbert enjoys his job by the way he treated me today. I was in and out the gate in approximately 15 minutes as I had a drop trailer.
Thanks Herbert and Grainger for making this a most pleasant visit. -
The distribution center does not have a sales counter in the normal sense. Orders can be picked up there on a emergency basis or if Grainger directs you there for some reason. Usually you have orders shipped or pick them up at your local branch.
Entering the property, you check in at a security hut, and are directed to what door to drive to.
There was a bit of a wait at the main entrance, but once I was directed to the will call door, I was in and out in maybe 5 minutes.
Very nice facility, kind of hard to comprehend how really big it is . -
Truckere Stay away from this facility at all cost even if loads pays well not worth it. I showed up in morning told ne 5 o'clock appointment then told me at 5 there Is no offloading after 7-9 came back next day told me drop trailer and wait 2-3 days. This place has 0 respect for human life.

Don’t ever deliver to this place. If you don’t have a appointment between 7am and 9am don’t come. They will have you drop the trailer and wait. I have been waiting 5 days and they still can’t unload a trailer. Seems that the only people that unload dropped trailers only work at night. Grainger doesn’t care about truck drivers only about themselves. I will never buy anything from Grainger and I will never recommend them to anyone one.
So much for being a place for everyone.
Update!!!!!
It took them 10 days to unload the trailer. So drivers if you have a load of ladders from Werner ladder it could take up to 10 days. If you only have one trailer don’t do this load. -
