He really helped me out in a pinch! He stayed after hours for me to come pick up a part! My motor was totally frozen and the furnace could not kick over to turn on! We are going to sleep nice and warm tonight because he stayed open until I arrived to pick up the part to fix the motor. You have no idea what that 30 minutes past closing means to me and my boys! Thank you so very much for your kindness!

EXPECT TO OVERPAY AND TALK TO AN IMPATIENT, GRUMPY PERSON. AND BUYER BEWARE - ALL SALES FINAL. I paid $280 for a draft inducer I should have just bought online for less than $100, but I thought I'd save time getting it the same day and support our local business people as well. The part only induces intermittently. I put back on my original part and it works fine. (I only replaced the original part because it had begun to get slightly noisy.) Doesn't matter to David - since it runs, even though intermittently I'm SOL. And he's not ashamed to overcharge saying I'm lucky he even sold to me at all. Most people won't sell you that part unless you're with an HVAC company he says. (I also overspent for a flame sensor he suggested could also be the problem - luckily I didn't buy all the other suggestions he had) I overpaid for his part, put it on, it only works intermittently. I put back on the old part and it runs fine. SEEMS CUT AND DRIED WHAT'S WRONG TO ME.

My AC dual run capacitor blew. All other stores that carried the part either would require a few days to ship or wouldn’t sell to the public. Thompson sold me the part right over the counter quick and easy with no hassle. They knew exactly what I needed and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The compressor is up and running the same day. Excellent service and excellent prices.

Last of a dying breed!

My furnace goes out on the coldest day of the year and the repair guy quoted me 1000 bucks to change a gas valve (that he had to order). I didn't want to wait so I looked around for a local place that had the part and I came across Thompson Supply Company. They had the part in stock and at a fraction of the cost so I went to pick it up. David sold me a new gas valve with thread sealant. I'm really glad there are still HVAC places that sell to the public. You don't find a lot in St Louis. The store was very clean and organized. Definitely not what I was expecting. lol Thank You David for great customer service and a quick and easy transaction. If I need anything HVAC in the future I'll be back.

David from Thompson Supply Company is the man! He walked me thru what AC fan condenser motor would fit my AC and told me how to install and wire it. It took my about an hour and I saved over $700 from paying an HVAC company to do it for me. He walks on water as far a I am concerned.

The motor in my furnace from 1988 went out. David helped me to pick out an equivalent motor to replace it. He showed me all the wires that will need to be hooked up and how to do so. He even carried my new motor out to the car for me. Excellent customer service overall!

The absolute legend. Capacitor went out Friday night, without this place being open on Saturday morning we would be stranded in 100 degrees until Monday or stuck with a massive HVAC bill. Can only assume the owner was the person working the counter. Was very knowledgeable and able to help me out.
BTW a monkey can replace a capacitor, don’t pay hundreds when google and this store exists.
