The shorter, dark completed worker, shows up everyday with an infectious smile & an incredible work ethic. He seems to out work everyone despite being twice the age and half the size of the others, and does so with a positive, helpful attitude. It’s great to see a pool company with such dedicated, hard working, knowledgeable people.

Indian Summer Pool and Spas have renewed my faith in people that do exactly what they say they will do, when they say they will do it and for the amount of money they quote. For a reasonable price, we were able to have our pool repaired and renewed in a very reasonable amount of time! The employees are all very helpful and answer all questions. Friendly and respectful! I have and will continue to refer this amazing company for any pool needs!

What impressed me most is how organized this company is. Everybody knows what everyone else is doing. I know that sounds standard but trust me -- it's not. I've tried many pool companies where everyone but the owner is clueless as to what's going on.
Another aspect of the company is they communicate with you when any delay happens. Again, many don't even bother to call you or just blow you off over and over again because they are busy with another project expecting you to keep up with them.
Finally, these guys really know what they are doing and clean up after themselves and don't charge you an arm and a leg. I've had three different pool companies and two of them were awful.
1) Overcharged for everything (Vaughn Pool)
2) Did $2000 dollars worth of work and all of it had to be redone since the paint peeled and the tiling that was promised was just a bad strip of plastic covering the tile. This place is BAD, BAD,BAD, (Aqua Associates)

Anyway, high praise and feel good about your choice.

Superior Customer Service:
One the most helpful and friendly staff I have had the pleasure to do business with. Lynkin went out of her way to help me get a pump for my pool, even agreeing to meet me when they were closed. I will definitely be giving them my business.

We needed pool closing & my wife called them. The woman said they charged $119.00 an hour. They required us to come by & give our credit card & fill out a form of what we needed done. 3 days later a man parked in our cul de sac & he walked into our yard. My wife went out where he was & simply asked some questions. He said that they would put in 30 gallons of antifreeze & we know that in the 25 years we've had the pool we never paid for more than 1 or 2 gallons. Some red flags came up & we decided to call & cancel their service. The woman said our service for the closing would be $500-$600 dollars & if we canceled they would charge a cancellation fee of one hours service $119.00 even though NO service was done at all! I called back & told that we were notifying our credit card co. to void the charge. I looked online at our charges on the credit card & she put another charge of &119.00 on our credit card. When our credit card co.investigated the woman said we had 2 different invoices & actually we had no service done at all. This is FRAUD & no one should ever trust this company!

Doug and his team did an awesome job on our pool! Easy to work with on the design and had some great ideas. Would recommend to anyone in need of a new pool. Great company and owner.

Doug personally came out and gave us an estimate on a pool we wanted done. After comparing prices we decided to go with him and couldn't be happier with the results. We told him exactly what we were looking for and what our budget was and he was able to work with us on everything and it ended up costing less than we initially thought. I've already saved his number in my phone in case we need any services done in the future.

This company was not upfront with their pricing at all. I feel like I was robbed. I was expecting to pay about $300 for a my pool to be closed for the year. That's roughly what I've paid the past 2 years. This company did not tell me that they were going to charge $203/hr between 2 people. They did no other repairs just felt like charging $1100 to close a pool.

I didnt know I was going to be paying someone what I would pay my lawyer to close my pool. I would never have used this company if I would have known I was going to be paying over $1000 to close a pool. That is insane how they feel comfortable charging that much.

There are so many other great pool companies in Springfield to choose from. Please take my advice and use an honest company.

I will never use this ridiculous company again.

For the record. My pool was drained below the returns. You told me I needed to add more water. You don't have your facts straight Doug. You even put the hose in and said I needed to turn the water off in a couple hours then you left! I can give you security camera footage if you'd like.

The fact that his response is not taking any accountability. And saying you didnt read the fine print, then proceeds to explain that the pool wasn't drained enough is pretty humorous.

How long does it take to drain the pool 6 hours??

Regardless of all the back and forth between Doug and myself. You can see by Dougs response. This company doesn't really care about doing right by the costumer. He cares more about being right and charging people ridiculous amounts of money than taking care of costumers. Which is another great reason to find a different company to work with. Do right by the costumer.

They are going to charge you $203/ hour. And to Indian Summer Pool & Spa. It takes them 6 hrs to do a simple pool closing.

Doug Fender and his staff have always taken such great care of us and our pool. Every time an issue arises they are very timely in dealing with the situation. Doug works very hard to make everything right and go smoothly. I highly recommend them to take care of any pool or spa regularly or fix any issues that have been pre existing or due to a bad pool company in the past!

I cannot vouch for the quality of work that Indian Summer Pool & Spa does but I cannot recommend them based on our experience. We scheduled an appointment to get an estimate for patio work. The appointment was for 1:30. We received a Google calendar confirmation for 1:00-2:30. At 11:54 we received a voice message from the office that the rep was delayed and if we needed more info to call him. Having not received any additional updates, my husband called the rep at 2:30. The rep said he had an emergency but should be at our house in approximately an hour plus drive time. He showed up at 4:30. In an email later that evening the rep inferred that the voice message from the office and our call to him were “ample proof of reasonable communication and effort in meeting our appt. time.” We disagree. We understand emergencies; however, we do not appreciate a disregard for our time. We expect contractors to be punctual, good communicators, and professional. We did not experience this with Indian Summer Pool & Spa.

These guys were very helpful and gave me advice about my pool pump without requiring me to bring it in. I was able to find my problem just from their advice. Now my pump works. I really appreciate this friendly neighborhood attitude. It's rare to find that these days.

I won’t get into the details, but my life turned upside down in July. I didn’t know how to care for my above ground pool. My choices were to take it down or find someone to help. I didn’t want to take it down. After calling a few places, I finally got a response from Doug at Indian Summer Pool. He stepped up to the plate and got my pool up and running. While I wasn't able to use the pool this year, my guests were able to enjoy it. Virgil has been awesome. He’s so helpful. If he doesn’t know something, he’s texting Doug on-site for info. Thanks guys! You’re the best.

I’ve never closed a pool and was wanting it done properly so I reached out to these guys. I asked the guy for a quote prior to them coming out, gave me the price for the pool cover and the water tubes I was needing which came out to $310 but told me he “couldn’t give me a price because he wasn’t sure the amount of work it entailed”.
They brought out 3 techs to do the job, 2 of which were there for 1.5 hours, and the third was there for 2 hours. The rates they charged were apparently discounted 30% according to whomever I talked to and they were still gut wrenchingly obnoxious: Tech 1 Peter- $169 per hour (1.5 hours for a total of $253.50). Tech 3 Aaron with Charles $98 (3 hours for a total of $294) . Total of 547.50 just in labor without being told about hourly rates.
They seem to have done a good job but the pricing is just outrageous. Charging $169 an hour for one guy and an additional $98 an hour for the other two guys is just crazy. You’d expect a professional to be up front and honest about pricing but the fact that he didn’t tell me how much they charge for hourly rates is just flat out pathetic and unprofessional. For that reason I give this company a 1 star review and advise you to choose a different company for your needs.

I spoke to a very nice man who helped me over the phone with my pool and was super nice! Even gave me a number to follow up with him the next day before we get in the pool!

ISPS was very detailed and went above and beyond to make sure my pool liner was installed perfectly.

I am confused, I hear good things about this company from a project they did for my neighbor a decade ago and really wanted to use them. Filled out the contact us form back before spring break this year - nothing. This last week I called and the only thing I could get was a generic service voice mail box. No call back still. Guess they don't like customers/money/business?
