Construction Company reviews in St. Louis, Missouri

They are currently working at a condominium down here at the Lake. I stay here full time. I must say I am impressed with their work. They have a lot of employees and a lot of equipment. Really makes everything run like a smooth work horse. 5/5 stars. They get the big jobs done. And properly!

Don't pay their bills, no communication with suppliers, if they contact you for materials just know you will be waiting 100+ days for payment and no one will answer your calls. Ridiculous

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We were contacted by their Western Regions Operations Manager, a Mr. Welby, on a Friday morning needing dramatic clean-up on a large commercial site, that needed to be COMPLETED by the following Tuesday. After much correspondence, which included him sending job instructions as well as an app that we had to download to check in when we got there & update the status, we sent 2 crews out the following morning. He & Brandon, our other contact with Keeley Construction, wanted us to let them know of any work needing to be done that was beyond the current scope of work so it could be submitted for approval. At the end of the day Tuesday, we sent them the info they requested. On Wednesday morning when we hadn't heard back, I followed up with an email to Mr. Welby to which he replied simply with “Sorry, this work has not been approved yet.” We understood that response to refer to the additional work proposal requested and not the already approved scope of work we had just completed the day before, the day Mr. Welby said he NEEDED it to be completed. But apparently I was mistaken, because we've tried reaching out numerous times regarding payment on the job he needed to be done by that Tuesday. Their stance is now that the job we did was not approved, even though we have email correspondence that clearly states and/or implies the definitive opposite. I would recommend steering clear of business dealings with this company if you are expecting to be paid for the work you do for them. They appear to be a large corporation willing & determined to take advantage of any local small business.

Korte is a great company to work with providing prompt and detailed quotes, good work, and always going the extra mile to keep us happy.

The Korte Company continues to be pillar for the Community and the Region through Action and Service. Just this past year they sponsored the 9th Annual Sporting Clay Classic at NILO FARMS to benefit the Anderson Hospital Foundation and also provided the resources to the SIU-Edwardsville Engineering program to improve the education of future Engineers and Constructors. Five Stars !!

An outstanding organization with a proven track record. The "Old School" values of the company's founder, Ralph Korte, are still evident in the way they conduct their business. Great people.

In November of 2016 we (The Knapheide Mfg. Co.) contracted with the Korte Company to design / build an 188,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility here in the Quincy, Illinois area. The design process started that same month with ground breaking occurring on February 1 of 2017 and substantial completion occurring on December 14, 2017. Without going into details this is not a large empty shell of a facility. It’s a professionally designed facility with the appropriate infrastructure to meet our production equipment requirements, FM Global requirements and all local, state and federal code requirements. Site structures include two detention ponds, approximately ½ mile of access and semi roadways, parking facilities for 175 vehicles and more. . Korte’s design team was a pleasure to work with and very professional in all aspects of the design phase. Their project management and on site supervision were top shelf and again a pleasure to work with. Korte’s ability to accurately project the scheduling requirements of a large project and keep the various suppliers and contractors on schedule was key to the success of the project. Their communication process that consisted of daily written progress reports, weekly on site meetings and weekly updates of a 2 week schedule forecast was a valuable resource for my project planning and communications to upper management. Korte also published weekly communications via email called RivetWire. This proved to be an outstanding communication tool for our upper management. RivetWire progress reports are a short but to the point description of the progress made for the week that includes photos and only takes a couple minutes to review.
The best way I can emphasize our satisfaction with the Korte Company is to state that our main office facility and manufacturing plant was a Korte project completed in early 1997 and they were our first choice for this new facility project -
Korte is an excellent community partner and general contractor leader in St. Louis. It is a pleasure to work with them and help tell their innovative construction stories locally and nationally.

Twenty years ago we asked The Korte Company to tear down our 40 year old facility and build a new one in the same place, without affecting our production. It was a complicated undertaking, but they accomplished everything we asked for on time and in budget. Since that time, any minimal maintenance issues have been addressed quickly and professionally. They are a great company to work with!

Garcia Construction found several areas where squirrels could be getting into my rental property when others were not able to figure it out after squirrels had gotten into an attic at least three times!

Adam and his team did a fantastic job on the ceiling on the addition to our 1910 home in Bevo Mill. The plaster was cracking, the demolition uncovered ceiling members that were not up to code and were at risk for instability and further damage in the future. Adam and his team were incredibly easy to communicate with, they were respectful of our home and time, and explained our options clearly. We are incredibly satisfied with the quality of their work.
My husband and I love Garcia. We rented through them in our 20s, purchased our home with the help of one of their realtors, Bridgette Fyvie, and we are pleased to continue the relationship to help us maintain the home. We also love the work they do in south city in rehabilitation and restoration.
I would recommend Garcia to anyone looking for a reliable contractor. Thank you all! -
I am extremely happy with the work that was completed on my home. They listened to my requests and answered all my questions. The craftsmanship is outstanding. John took the time to add details to the corbels that support the porch cover that others would not have done. Everyone I encountered from the company was helpful and respectful. I am a happy customer!
