Construction Company reviews in St. Louis, Missouri

The driver of truck 209 pulled up next to me at the gas station so close to the driver side that when my husband went to get back in the car he seriously had trouble. And the driver knew he parked that closed because he looked over at me. It’s rude and to be in a company truck make’s the company look bad.

Replaced a panel in basement and rewired the whole thing, got it done in a day, quality work and fair price, will definitely use again it was just to easy

Awesome job and price all around! From Jeff who did the estimate and Lisa in the office that scheduled and did the paperwork and all the way through to Mike that did our service work.... everyone and every step was great. Pricing blew the competition away. Quick, flexible and efficient. Thank you Power Up team!

Tell whoever has been driving truck 225 to drive like they have some sense. Changing lanes and cutting people off on the highway is not it. In a company car on top of that? Be serious.

Roger made my whole week! Our yard was out of control after a tough pregnancy last summer and raising a new baby this spring. Out yard is my happy peaceful place, but lately it made me wince. Roger mowed, edged, blew away the debris, took down some nasty weeds, efficiently. When my husband came home he was so grateful and blown away. Every morning and evening I’ve been able to enjoy our space because of Roger’s amazing work. I wish I had some before photos of all the weeds in the fence and tree debris so you could really appreciate the improvement here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you!

Highly recommend Agape! They have done a number of small projects for us and always do an excellent job. Kevin and Amy, the owners, are salt of the earth people!

Agape gave us an estimate for a remodel; we accepted their bid, despite the fact that it was slightly higher than two others, because we trusted them. They did not follow up with the contract despite the fact that we continued to ask. After three months and living in pre-construction zones, they submitted a contract for 66% higher than their estimate! When we wrote a lengthy email, with all details of this experience, they ignored us and mailed our keys back to us. They didn't even have the decency to respond. Ever. We have contracted with others (for less than their original bid), now five months past our original dates, and our construction would have been finished had we not trusted them and their word.

First person came out and "measured", he seemed less than entertained, but none the less we received the bid and were pleased with it. I followed up and mentioned I'd like to move forward with a contract. They stated they would come out for 2nd measurements, which I was pleased with this idea, given the first interraction. In speaking with the two owners (husband and wife) I mentioned in writing that it is important to us to have good communication because we have already gone through 4 other contractors and ultimately didnt hire because there was no follow through or any communication at all. I also mentioned that I know schedules are tight and was aware we are already 2-3 months out for any work to begin, so we desperately were ready to get on a schedule amd move forward. Agape reassured us that they are a "professional company" and we certainly wouldnt have issues like that with them. Yet here we are, several weeks later with no responses, no follow through, no more communication. This is absurd. Must not care for our business, and that's fine- because before we are ready to give someone upwards of 15k, we would like to have a good working relationship with them. Clearly Agape isnt interested in establishing good working relationships with potential customers.

We were having an addition to our family so needed an addition to our home. Due to budget limits and my ability to do some of the work, we approached Agape and several other builders about building a shell, and allowing us to finish it. Several of the contractors we spoke to didn't want to do that or wouldn't give us a straight answer. We met with Kevin McClure. He was more than happy to help while making it clear what the risks were and what they'd cover under warranty. We also had some contractors say no problem and never called us back, and others that missed appointments.
We discussed a few options and decided adding a master suite to the back was the best solution. We met with the architects to discuss must haves and they came up with a plan that we loved and allowed us to stay close to our budget. We are in a 1929 house so maintaining some of the look was also important. I was fortunate enough to sit in on the meeting at Kirkwood City hall to get approval from the City. Kevin and the Lauri walked us through the possible ticking points on our plan. We were able to listen to about eight people go ahead of us. We were the only ones that were not told to make changes and come back. I was able to present with Laurie in front of the board and we were able to explain the hows an why's to their satisfaction. That told me a lot about their credibility!
Communication was very clear about expectations, time frames, etc. Other than 4" of rain after the footings were poured, the schedule was fine.
We were very pleased with the employees of Agape. They were all very friendly and professional and clearly took pride in their work. We ran into a few minor subcontractor issues, that Patrick, the project manager was on top of. He met with us every week to keep us updated and took care of most issues before we even asked, including a sub contractors truck that leaked oil all over the driveway. He also was helpful when we had some issues with product we provided. We really felt we were partners with them throughout the process.
Upon completion of their work, I met with Patrick and he made some suggestions about the finishing touches and answered any questions I had. He could easily have said he couldn't help. I have also reached out a couple of times to Kevin about materials recommendations when I was on the fence. He quickly responded to my questions. We did have one small issue over the winter with the sump pump drain they installed due to settling. They were out within a couple of days to address it.
We are very happy with the people and also the workmanship. Everything seems to built real well and it all looks great.
I would highly recommend the team at Agape to anyone looking to build/remodel. We have some other projects on our horizon, and we will definitely be in contact. -
Just completed a remodel of our family room that included some structural work and quite a bit of finish carpentry. The workmanship was top notch. This was our fourth project with Agape and have always been very happy with the outcome.

We wanted to move an interior staircase so chose this company because they have an architect and structural engineer on staff. Ryan at Agape was my initial consultant. He met with us several times and priced out a variety of things we were considering doing. Ryan worked with us initially to see what finishes/quality we were interested in to give us a true estimate so there wouldn't be 'sticker shock' later down the road. They also have an interior designer to help you pull everything together. When we were finished with consulting and began construction, we were given a new "point person" Steve. Between Ryan and Steve, we always had someone to go to if we had any questions or problems. They schedule all the trades, deliveries, inspections and keep the project moving forward with no delays. In addition to moving stairs, we are replacing flooring, adding a vent hood and gutting/replacing a bathroom.

I reached out to Edie Rice for help with my kitchen design. Money well spent! Such a myriad of options left me feeling overwhelmed. Edie, and the design team at Agape, were able to help me with contractors, vendors, colors, and design. All of their contacts proved to be invaluable during covid and supply chain challenges. We completed the project on time, within budget and it looks amazing. I would refer Edie and Agape over and over again

Agape is very professional and timely. The companies they use to do the multitude of jobs to support a build or addition are timely and have a lot of attention to quality. In addition, they support what your are trying to create at your home and listen to your requests. We highly recommend them.

We have used Agape many times. Our most recent experience was the removal of our deck and replacement with a new deck plus roof. We have always been pleased with the quality service and professionalism. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable.

Linda with Agape was a wealth of knowledge throughout the design process of our remodel. Everyone we dealt with at Agape was knowledgeable, responsive, competent, transparent and friendly during the design and contract process. Linda was a joy to work with and really helped us bring our vision to life.
