Great experience all around. Consult, planning and execution were flawless, and our project manager Bill was the best. We had a pretty major renovation job and they took care of us through every step, with regular progress meetings to keep us appraised and informed the whole time.

I could not be happier with Agape Construction!! Every time I've ever had a question, their team is extremely responsive and very professional. Patrick has done a superb job of listening to me and then working collaboratively with me to come up with a solution (or solutions) that work best. I have always been fearful of home remodeling but the Agape team made it easy and even helped me realize/think about things I didn't even think of!! The quality of work is impeccable and of great value...I would highly recommend Agape Construction to anyone looking for personalized service with a sophisticated touch!

Agape completed an extensive home remodel project for us including a new kitchen, new mudroom, opened up living room/family room, master bedroom and bath, and added a roof to our deck. We are very happy with the results. Everyone we worked with from Agape was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The construction quality was excellent, and the construction team members were always very courteous and responsive to our needs. Any issues were addressed promptly and corrected. They are true to their word. The final results exceeded our expectations, especially the roof for our deck, and the custom built-ins in the bar and mudroom. Thank you to our design team, Ryan and Kurt, and Linda T. for your excellent work with the interior finishes. And thank you Jon and your construction team of highly skilled carpenters. Richard and his team were amazing to work with. They were honest, punctual, up front about schedule, costs, adjustments, ideas. From start to finish we appreciated their attention to detail and ability to do work the right way. They want you to be happy and want you to be happy in your home. I highly recommend and hope to work with them on projects in the future.

Denny and I had Agape do our bathroom years ago so we called them to bid on our backyard pavilion. Our expectations were pretty high, so we didn't think it was possible to exceed our expectations, but they did.
We have never worked with a company that is so thorough and detailed, just how we like it. They not only did what they said they would, they went beyond. Their attention to detail was exactly what we wanted. We have rarely to never, had a company give us constant updates on what would be happening, along with constant monitoring of the project each step along the way. We are very detail oriented homeowners and Agape was right up our alley. They exceeded our very high expectations!

We worked with Agape on a major construction project of our master bathroom and our screened in porch of our deck when we first moved into our home about 7 years ago. Since then, we have used their handyman department in collaboration on a renovation of our kitchen. All of these projects were amazing experiences. We definitely recommend them for their quality of service and the trust we feel working with them.

We used Agape for a significant 1st Floor: kitchen, hearth room, mud room remodel and cannot say enough good things about how pleased we are with our experience!

We are currently working on our fourth large project with Agape and continue to be so happy with the exceptional quality and professional experience. Our most recently completed project was a full kitchen renovation, after a main bedroom addition and pool/garage/gym addition in a nearly 100 year old house.

Each individual that works with Agape is professional and kind. The cleanup each day is much appreciated (Joon and crew), but it is the expertise of each person that I really appreciate. Jared, who has helped plan all of our projects; our project manager Brian Kelly; carpenters Keith & Stephen are a few of the stand out individuals who made the daily process as smooth and enjoyable as possible when living through construction. We have also loved the creativity of both architects with whom we have worked.

Having now completed three large projects, I can say the warranty is respected. I never worry if something isn't quite right soon after completion, as I have always had Agape rectify it with no need to jump through hoops. While their bid may not be the lowest obtained, it is accurate to the quality of work. They are very trustworthy; i.e. the completed price is what was bid (if they find a surprise, which is common especially with an old home, there is a clear discussion of reasonable options and cost).

Overall, Agape has helped my husband and I make the vision we had for this old house a reality. There will be dust, there will be annoying parts of the process, and you will be relieved when the lockbox leaves. However, our family has found that the creativity of and partnership with Agape makes the renovation process part of our story. Cheers to another four months of dust for our final phase!

Agape built us a beautiful deck. They had to convert a window to a door in the process. It also involved electrical work. All the workers were professional and polite. They kept us informed every day as to where they would be working, what they would be doing and they did an excellent job of cleaning up each day. The entire project from start to finish was well planned by them and executed perfectly. I highly recommend the company.

I am so grateful for finding this company for my kitchen remodel! I had been let down by a different build firm, and someone suggested Agape Construction, so I contacted them. Their responsiveness was above and beyond expectations, along with their quality and professionalism. I felt like a valued client from the moment of first contact, and throughout every interaction with each team member of this company. The owner of the company met with me, discussed my project, and built out a gorgeous kitchen remodel for me within the quoted timeline. When does that ever happen with construction?! They even took the time to maintain a clean and orderly jobsite during construction. I highly, highly recommend Agape Construction!

We did not have a positive experience consulting with Agape Construction. We are in the midst of a full renovation of a 1904 World’s Fair–era home and initially hoped to engage their team for the entire project.

Unfortunately, the consultation itself was unproductive. The estimator provided little practical guidance and conveyed a dismissive tone that suggested our project was not a priority. While we understand that reputable firms may be busy and selective, the manner in which this was communicated came across as condescending rather than professional.

A renovation budget of approximately $400,000 is substantial by industry standards, yet there was no meaningful discussion around scope, strategy, or value engineering. We left the meeting feeling discouraged rather than informed.

Ultimately, we sought a partner who respects both the historical significance of the home and the seriousness of the investment, and this experience did not reflect that level of professionalism

From making the appointment to the job completion I had a fantastic experience. Communication was fantastic on keeping me informed on my appointment. When Tyrus arrived he was very professional and friendly. Our shower door was not closing correctly, Tyrus was knowledgeable about what the problem was and was able to fix it. He was also very patient with my 4 year old whom was very interested in what Tyrus was doing at our house. I recommend Agape.

We recently attempted to work with Agape for a master bathroom remodel in our home. They presented an impressive design, and we were fully aligned on the bid and pricing—we were genuinely excited and ready to move forward.

Then they sent us a 17-page contract that was heavily one-sided in their favor. Among the most concerning provisions: they basically accept no responsibility if anything goes wrong on the job; they alone decide when payments are due and when the project is considered complete; only 5% can be held back at the end, leaving the customer with virtually no leverage for punch-list items; change orders include nearly 40% markup (well above industry standards); if they damage your driveway, it’s your problem; and if one of their subcontractors makes a mistake and burns your house down, the contract states that your homeowners insurance must cover it—not them. It also requires waiving any right to sue them and agreeing to pay their legal fees in any dispute. (The only means by which you may take any action against them is through arbitration in accordance with Christian Conciliation rules, and this shall be at your expense.)

My attorney reviewed it and strongly advised against signing, noting that Missouri law generally enforces the terms of the written contract in disputes. With his guidance, we proposed substantial but reasonable redlines to make the agreement fairer for us as customers while remaining equitable for Agape. They showed no willingness to negotiate any changes and ultimately “fired” us as clients.

I suspect they’ve been burned badly in the past and had their lawyer draft an extremely protective, one-sided contract as a result. That’s understandable to a point, but in this day and age, no one should sign something they wouldn’t expect to be read back to them verbatim in court.

We’re not litigious at all—we’re easy to work with, own an older home that needs many updates, and had genuinely hoped to build a long-term relationship with them for multiple projects. This was a straightforward bathroom remodel with no unusual complexities, so their refusal to budge on anything and decision to walk away from a good-sized job was disappointing.

This isn’t a review of their workmanship, but a word of caution: anyone considering Agape should read the contract very carefully and fully understand what they’re signing before proceeding.

Agape remodeled our kitchen, powder room and hall bath, plus added a three-season room to our home. Everyone we dealt with at Agape was outstanding from our salesperson Jared to PM Brian to Designer Makenzie and Cabinet Designer Diana to Carpenters Tyler and Steven. They were all so professional, friendly and responsive and our new spaces look amazing. They were each creative problem solvers who worked efficiently and hard to come up with the best use of space and resources.

Project Manager Brian Kelly kept us well-informed every step along the way. He patiently explained anything we didn’t understand. He was very organized and thorough and gave us lots of reminders about what was next which we really appreciated because it was a lot to keep track of. If we had any concerns, he immediately and professionally addressed them. Brian is the best!

Designers Makenzie and Diana were super responsive with any questions or concerns that I had. They went the extra mile with creating mockups for me. I know what I like, but get overwhelmed by all the choices plus have trouble envisioning how it all comes together, so I really appreciated these renderings.

We absolutely love our new spaces! We feel like we are on vacation with this beautiful remodel!

We've also used Jamie from Agape's handyman division and he was also outstanding. He helped us solve a water issues from faulty window install by Lowe's.
