I had Agape Construction do an extensive remodel of a 1972 lake front house I bought. New electrical system to meet code and add a hot tub. Impressive custom design to incorporate a 12' x 12' screened in porch to an existing 40' deck. Replaced two wood burning fireplaces with gas.

Kitchen update to replace old electrical stovetop and separate ovens with a dual fuel range. Cabinet changes, farmhouse sink, custom trash/recycle bin built, new counters, and backsplash with a custom accent feature.

Sunken living room floor brought up to the level of the rest of the floors. Custom mantle and shelves over the new gas fireplace. Extensive electrical work to ensure fireplace mounted TV has no cords visible and added outlets to the walls and floor for furniture.

The special tiling we picked for around the two fireplaces was installed perfectly and both fireplaces look fantastic.

Agape's employees and sub contractors were absolutely amazing people.
We actually enjoyed having them show up each morning because we knew they would show up on time and in a cheerful mood. The skill level of the carpenters was unbelievable compared to other work I have had done.

Fantastic responsiveness to identified issues. Found and fixed issues that I hadn't noticed. Every single issue was resolved to my satisfaction.

Covid caused all sorts of supply issues so the project full completion date was almost 2 full months late. But the important thing is Agape made sure we were able to move in on time in accordance with our other housing agreement ending.

4.5 stars from me. The half point reduction is due to some missed communication that resulted in some unnecessary delays.

Highest recommendation for this company because of the people and commitment to making it right.

This was the 2nd project that I have done with Agape. One was done in 2017-2018 and the other just finished last week. Both times, I have been very happy with their project management and workmen's skills. The customer service is terrific! I would always recommend them to my family and friends!

We have used the handyman services through Agape Construction and have been most pleased with the services offered. Also the design and consultation work by their in home decorator. All the work has been so professional and just to our taste. Thanks to Agape we have settled into our new home much more smoothy.

They certainly have a fascinating business model for customer relations. I called to inquire and have person from Agape give me an estimate on re-do of my back porch. Needs a total redo. I had various estimates $10,000 range about 9x12 and something practical. The lady at Agape asked the size of porch, gave me an estimate over the phone based on 14x14 of $40,000 to $50,000 as it saves time if a person is not in the considered price range, would they need to send a person for an estimate. I considered it was high, curious they never saw my place and found Agape, nicely represented, but clearly not interested in me as a customer. I an not naive to remodeling costs as I have had my kitchen, bathroom and basement remodeled on my home. I don't no more about Agape as they didn't seem interested in me. No harm done, will move on to other considerations.

I sourced Agape as they had a good reputation. They do the design/architectural drawings, which you pay for (in my case it was approx $5K for the 2 phase design process); however, you don't get ownership of the drawings until you sign a construction contract. I understood this and was okay with it as their initial bid fit in my budget; however, by the time we got to the end of the process their price nearly doubled (the scope of work did not double). I sourced 3 other contactors since then and they were all in my budget, which was near Agape's original quote. I asked if I could have or purchase the drawings to which they refused and began using the drawings/3D walkthrough, which I paid for, on their social media. I found this to be in poor taste. To give a small glimpse into their pricing they were going to replace a bay window as part of the project and budgeted $17K-$20K...Pella is doing it for $6K, which is who they use for windows. The reason they got 2 stars rather than 1 is for their Architect (Taylor) she was absolutely amazing and had some really great ideas.

We recently finished a large renovation with Agape and these folks were a clear cut above at every stage of the process. They were very patient with us throughout a vetting process I drug out for a LONG time. Not only were they able to accomplish construction challenges which caused many others to "no quote" me, but they did so in a price competitive manner. They were not the cheapest bid, but they were the best and the experience we had with their crews over our 5 month project exceeded expectations. Problems during the project were addressed and not worked around, and the people were very friendly and accommodating to my dog and 3 young kids who would wander into the work zone on a regular basis (we did this in the middle of COVID). Agape will for sure be my first call on any project from here on.

We are currently working with Agape Construction on a home remodeling/expansion project. We have completed the design phase and now about to start the construction phase. We've been very pleased with how our project architect was able to envision new functions for spaces in our home in ways we had not considered previously! We are very excited to see how all the old and new spaces flow together.

Contracted for a new design/build kitchen. They appear to have a good process for selection of counter, cabinets, fixtures, cabinet hardware, flooring, etc. Planning nearly complete. Check back with us around March to see how it all turned out. We've used Agape before for some minor remodeling and handyman work. Our neighbors had them redo their kitchen. So far, not one complaint noted.

We went into our project with the potential of a lot of underlying damage on a porch that was having issues. We worked out a time & materials arrangement. While it took a bit for the work to commence, once we got going everything ticked along as expected, despite there being more damage than we anticipated.

Communication throughout the project was very good and the transparency on the billing was great. Workmanship was superb, and after the project was complete, we felt our porch was actually better than the day it was originally built.

Hats off to Agape on a fine job!

We hired Agape Construction for our home remodeling project, including a new kitchen, bath, and entry way. Design professional Linda Thomas was instrumental in achieving our goal of a beautiful and highly livable home. We had some specific ideas of what we wanted and Linda was wonderful about finding options for us. In addition, and perhaps even more importantly, she also talked us through the pros and cons of certain choices, and made sure we understood the reality of our choices in terms of maintenance and functionality. (So that cool looking shelf I wanted over my stove? How grungy was it likely to get standing in the way of the exhaust fan, and was I really going to reach over the gas flames to pluck my pepper grinder off of this shelf?) Her attention to detail gave us additional confidence in the choices we ultimately made. Linda helped us choose the right design features for our home, assisted on color selection, and tracked down 11th hour choices in a pinch. And, to top it all off, she's warm, funny, good-natured and easy to work with.

Eddie Rice at Agape was and will be my go-to for interior design! We did a very large remodel with Agape and I found it surprising how hard paint selection was. Looking for "Timeless" to match " English Rectory" and "Lake House" -- Eddie came prepared with her swatch book - but she already knew the right color. I fell in love instantly with it - it was ( is!) Timeless, English Rectory Lakehouse! The kitchen counter that she selected for us was equally perfect. We toured a slab company - with the idea that we would pick what we liked ... and nothing came close at any price range. Her selection of counter tops along with updated sink, range and tile was so perfect - I no longer minded the honey-oak cabinets! Really nice crew, super professional! The tradesmen who worked on our house were wizards. Exceptional.

We have had two major projects completed by Agape and really appreciate their work. Positives include: keeping us in the loop over the length of the project, staying on schedule, timeliness of arrivals & departures, all the workers employed on the project displayed expertise, professionalism & courtesy. At the end of the day they left our house as squared away as possible. I highly recommend them.

We engaged Agape for a complete design and gut remodel for an addition and refresh project at our home. Adding approximately 1000 square feet and completely remodeling everything else, including a garage expansion, their design team has been very professional and exceptionally easy to work with. We couldn't be more happy with the way our plans and the contracting process turned out and are very excited for the construction to begin.

Agape recently built a covered deck for our home and installed a new aggregate patio and walkway. They gave us several design ideas based on our initial conversation and offered suggestions throughout to make the project better. We love the new space and it completely transformed our backyard. Although we had some Covid related delays with materials (no fault of Agape) their communication was outstanding during the entire process. Highly recommend Jared for his help in designing the space and Steve and his team for the outstanding work!

We contracted with Agape to design, construct/renovate our basement. This is our third major project at our home with Agape. We continue to work with Agape for 3 reasons. Their professionalism, their honesty/integrity, and the quality of their work product.

From the initial consultation with Ryan, to the contract phase, to the introduction meeting of project manager Jared, to the drawing/architecture meeting with Taylor, to the design/selection meetings with Edie, to watching their employees take pride in their work (Ben & Simon). Simply put, they are pro’s, they are good communicators, they are fairly priced, and their work continues to impress. Thank you, Agape.

If you're looking to remodel your home so you don't have to move, or you want to build a brand new home, I wouldn't call any other company. Agape hires only the finest craftsmen--their finish work is unrivaled in quality and perfection! Having their own in-house architect was a big plus when we were remodeling a historic 1865-built house and re-configuring it to function for today's modern living. Solutions were created that we never could have imagined. The whole company culture is one of integrity, honesty and doing things to the best of your ability. What more could you ask for? We've had Agape back many times since the completion of our remodel, and they continue to exceed our expectations.

We have used Agape Construction for several of our home remodeling projects. Our latest project with them was to update and improve two of second floor bathrooms. Both of these bathrooms had original fixtures and bathtubs. We wanted to make them more functional for our family needs. The process was very smooth. From start to finish we were happy with our choices and what they recommended. Once demolition started the projected moved efficiently and we finished a little bit ahead of schedule. Our project manager always kept us in the loop on what was going on. Their team and sub-contracts are always polite and knowledgeable. We are thrilled with our new bathrooms.

I am so grateful I found Agape for my Kirkwood residence remodel (smaller home, built in 1941). I am a busy professional who works remotely (aka works from home) and needed a full-service company that could manage the project from end to end.
    The project scope included:

    • Bathroom remodel (incl. concrete slab demo under subfloor)
    • Custom built-in bookcases
    • Paint all interior walls, ceilings, casings, and baseboards
    • New interior and exterior doors and hardware
    • Rewrap of ext. columns, porch headers, and garage frame
    • Updated interior and exterior light fixtures

The process from beginning to end was honestly very fluid and painless – much due to the wonderful design team and the Agape project and construction team.

The designer (thank you Edie!) made the design process and selection and ordering of doors, fixtures, hardware, and paint colors very easy and enjoyable. Her ideas and recommendations all perfectly aligned with my style and were incredibly helpful! The design team and project manager (Steve) were both very responsive with constant communication throughout the project.

The construction team and contractors were all extremely professional, and the quality of their work was top notch. The lead contractor was great with communication any changes to the schedule (which were minimal), their attention to cleanliness of the work space was amazing, and they were very respectful - I was able to work from home throughout with minimal interruption (thank you Ryan and Nick)! The team was extremely accommodating – especially considering my home has only a single bathroom (they went above and beyond to ensure I had a working toilet throughout the remodel).

As with any remodel, especially considering the age of my home (81 years), I anticipated that we may find some issues during the project – and we did. I am extremely thankful for Agape and the entire team for their flexibility and ability to quickly address the issues that we found along the way, including:

    • Resolved issue where bathroom fan was not properly vented
    • Discovered my sump pump had quit working and quickly replaced the pump and added a Radon mitigation basin cover
    • Repaired of a significant portion of the porch header and garage frame, added the necessary drip edge to the gutters (we discovered very wet wood and termites because of improperly installed gutters from previous owners). Where this would normally cause a great deal of anxiety to any home owner, Agape was able to repair this quickly as a T&M project - the added cost was much less than I was expecting, and likely saved me from a much greater expense this winter had they had not have caught this when they did!

Despite the challenges all companies are facing with material delays and resource constraints, Agape still completed the project on budget and even a few days early than planned!

I would highly recommend Agape and will absolutely use them again!

We are very pleased with the work that Agape did for us. It turned out beautifully. Every person that we had contact with was professional and courteous. The work was high quality, and when mistakes or mishaps occurred, they were quickly corrected. The project manager kept us up to date every step of the way and kept the work moving so that the project was completed on the original schedule.

The team assigned to our project provided excellent service and workmanship in the time promised. The project consisted of removing the deteriorating 12' high cedar columns and replacing them with new treated wood columns for our main level deck. The work was done safely and the final clean-up was meticulous. Without hesitation I would be a repeat customer for the Agape' team.
