After several decades in business, I’ve learned to recognize the difference between a company that simply gets by and a company that takes genuine pride in its work. Comfort Advisors Heating and Cooling falls squarely into the second category. Their team operates with a level of honesty, transparency, and workmanship that’s not common anymore. They communicate clearly, they show up prepared, and they do the job the right way, not the cheap way.
I’ve dealt with my warranty company for many years, and it’s a relief to see them finally align with a contractor that actually performs to a professional standard. Comfort Advisors doesn’t cut corners or push the bare-minimum repairs. They provide real solutions and give homeowners actual choices, which is something you don’t see often in warranty work.
It’s disappointing to see a group of hardworking young professionals get attacked online by individuals who seem to misunderstand what quality service looks like. There’s a world of difference between “cheap” and “fair,” and some people simply don’t grasp that.
For my own home, I chose to upgrade my system and was pleased with the entire process. They completed: furnace upgrade, High-SEER air conditioner, WiFi thermostat, full duct cleaning, AeroSeal, UV light and filtration system, and a humidifier upgrade. Everything was explained thoroughly, with clear options and straightforward pricing. No games. No surprises.
A note to other warranty customers:
Comfort Advisors is a service company, not a discount outlet. These technicians are trained tradesmen who make their living by doing things correctly. If someone is expecting bargain-basement work, they need to look elsewhere. But if you want a reputable, accountable company showing up on your warranty calls, then respect the process. Unfounded complaints and negative comments don’t help anyone, and they certainly don’t reflect the actual quality of this company. Comfort Advisors has earned their good reputation. Those of us who appreciate solid workmanship can see that clearly. -
Michael arrived at our home in Ashland in short order after an emergency call at the beginning of a snow storm. He worked for several hours to reconnect the duct work to our to vents in our Kitchen inside a very cramped crawl space. He was very professional, informative and friendly!

If my opinion matters, I strongly advise you not to waste your time with this company. They initially responded to my service request through my home warranty provider, which eventually led to a conversation about replacing my AC and furnace units. They assured me that if I chose them for the replacement—an investment of $10,000—they would waive the warranty service fee.
However, a few weeks later, they cashed the $85 check meant for the warranty fee. Due to an error by their bank, they actually received $850 instead. I have been calling and texting Michael daily to resolve this, but I keep getting empty promises with no real action. He assured me I would be fully reimbursed, yet here I am, still fighting for my $85, now treated like a "difficult" client.
Please be cautious when dealing with companies like this. Always get everything in writing or on video to protect yourself—especially when they claim to be "too busy" to handle issues properly.
Update: It was both the bank's and Michael's fault. I spoke with him on Tuesday morning, and I have the call recorded if necessary. During our conversation, he assured me that he would drive by my house with the “$85 dirty dollars I was fighting for “to reimburse me. Now, it's Thursday, and I’m still waiting have proof if needed. -
I will never use this company again. I had them replace my AC unit a couple years ago while I was out of town. I keep finding things wrong with the install. I am going to need to have another HVAC company come in and fix there issues.
They put the whole condenser unit in backwards from the previous unit. They also covered up the humidifier and I have to take the unit apart to change filters.
If you are thinking of calling them just pass. They take short cuts. -
Mike was very helpful and kind. He was able to provide me with information on the problem with my AC unit that I could understand. Additionally, he was patient while submitting my claim through my warranty company.
Edit- After meeting with Mike there has been no follow up with my warranty company on their side. I called multiple times to have them follow up but nothing was done. Discussed with my warranty company we are now going with a different company. I have been without an AC for over two weeks. -
My home warranty had them come out to see about my heating system. The guy Nat said that I need an new heating system and that the blower motor was bad and I should not run my heating. I asked him if they can just replace the blower motor he said no try to sale me an new system. I told him I need to get other bid. I call R Mechanical and had them come out and check my system they said my blower motor was linking oil but it was not that bad. I asked him can I just replace the blower motor are do I need an hole new system he said yes you can replace the motor witch is cover under my warranty. I was happy. That so. Sad how different companies take advantage of people. That why is best to get an second opinion.

My warranty company hired this company first of August. The initial appointment scheduled had to be rescheduled do to them running behind. (Which is understandable things happen) when they were able to arrive they did their walk thru and advised we need a new system. Which I figured so. Two weeks went by and my warranty company had not heard anything from this company. I had to call and ask what’s going on. They had to send another guy out because the owner that came the first time was on vacation. 2nd Mike comes out and gives a whole different diagnosis. Which made no sense. Then Mike the owner comes out again and types up what should be done and finally submits it to my warranty company.
I had a little issue with my warranty company approving my replacement but got it approved right before going into Labor Day weekend. I called first thing after Labor Day and advised them of the approval and to resubmit on the warranty portal. They sounded like they understood. I went two more weeks asking for an update and getting the go around. The warranty company kept advising they are waiting on the a/c company. Finally Mike the owner called and he didn’t even KNOW it was approved! Even though I called 4 times and spoke to them and they stated that they told Mike. No communication with this company. Then blamed me for miscommunication when CLEARLY it’s this company that has miscommunication issues. He advised he would come the next day and put a system in as long as I didn’t tell my warranty company…and he would just take the product they order and replace what he used from their stock! I said no I’ll go by what my warranty company advises.
I have been with out central air for almost 2 months!
I updated my contractor and advised to NEVER SEND this company out again. Once they got me with another company everything was done so fast (less than a week) new a/c is on its way and being installed.
I do not recommend this company. They want more quantity than quality.
Top it off Mike called me on a Saturday and accused me a month ago of a Google post which was NOT ME. But now….it is.
Update:
Everything you stated in your reply is inaccurate. You only called once, while I called multiple times to inform you that the warranty had already been approved. I was never disrespectful — I only defended myself after being wrongly accused of things I did not say or do.
You’ve mentioned that calls are recorded, so I ask that you review each one I made. It will clearly show that our warranty company was always waiting on you, not the other way around.
Your reply not only misrepresents the facts but also demonstrates unprofessional behavior. Accusing me of leaving a negative review — when I repeatedly explained that wasn’t me — was completely inappropriate.
It’s disappointing to see a company operate with such poor communication and questionable business ethics.
P.S. don’t worry we won’t be using or recommending you again. Warranty fixed my a/c and brought a better company out and did an amazing job. (See warranty WAS approved and with a correct diagnosis) -
0/10 Experience....I submitted a claim for no A/C through my home warranty company and was sent Comfort Advisors. I called on a Thursday and was given an appointment time for Monday anywhere between 11am-3pm. I called and asked to be notified when the technician is on their way to my house. I received a message at 1:38pm on Monday saying my technician Nate was on the way to my house, I got to my house at 1:50pm, 10 min later I get a call from the office lady/dispatcher saying I will need to rescheduled my appointment as I missed it. She said that the driver said he was at my house at 1:38pm and knocked I explained to her that that's when he told me he was on the way and she said there was nothing she could do and I would have to reschedule my appointment. (Not her fault he can't listen to simple instructions). I rescheduled for Tuesday between 10am-1pm, he sent the on the way message correctly this time thankfully. Upon arrival he asked to start by looking at the furnace located in my attic, I led him up there and opened the pull out ceiling door for him(no insulation fell out of my attic upon opening the door) upon him leaving there was insulation all over the floor under the ceiling door also somehow got insulation blown down all of my vents in my house(pictures attached). He then said that my home warranty denied my claim. He put in a note to my home warranty company that my Dad worked for a HVAC company and that he messed with it when I initially told him that my dad worked for a HVAC company but he did NOT fix/touch the unit therefore his report is false. Also the tech Nate that I was sent was stinky and has his fly down the entire time he was talking to me, I get it its summer people sweat but overall the professionalism from this tech/company was very disappointing will definitely NOT be using again.
