Home Services reviews in Omaha, Nebraska

I stopped in here recently, as I've just purchased a house and wanted a garden. My sister suggest I go in there. Most of the plants are mediocre at best, the house plant section looked like it was dying. It's also moderately over priced. Its ok in a pinch, but I would suggest small nurseries or maybe just a different store. I was not impressed.

They seem to carry the older plants lily of the valley, peonies, iris, today I was looking for yellow and white peonies in quart size pots but all they had was two gallons and no white iris's a $135.00 is alot for me for one peony, I will keep looking

I was here looking for organic soil so my family and I could start planting our peach tree that just sprouted. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful and enthusiastic about getting me what I needed. The vibe here is amazing it was my VERY first visit to Earl May, I felt comfortable and at ease when I shopped. :)

I love Earl May! They've been around since I was a child, and they always have the best, well-stocked store. The staff is super polite and helpful, and their plants are a cut above. 🌟

Good quality plants and amazing service! All the employees are always willing to help you.

Such a lovely garden center with a cool variety of plants and planters. They're always so helpful. They suggested a specific pot for my violet and with the right tools and their advice even I was able to keep a violet alive! I appreciate how they help pot things for us as well.

Too much fun can be had here. A little pricey for a lot of stuff, but they do offer Military Discounts.

I Iike this location. It is not too big, but still has what I need. I get succulents here in the winter and pepper plants in the summer. Prices are reasonable.
Update: it has been a couple of years since I have been here. Seems to be a larger variety of plants in the building. Friendly service. My go to place for gardening supplies. -
I recently was looking for a Blue Spruce tree for my yard. The staff at Earl May was very helpful in helping me and allowing me time to select the right tree. The crew that planted the spruce was polite, neat and provided helpful hints.
I appreciate the great service! -
Great garden center, just very expensive!

The staff, specifically a delightful woman named Lynn was especially helpful even though they didn't have the plants I was hoping to purchase. She was very relatable, friendly and funny. All that anyone could hope for on a phone inquiry. Thanks again, I will be making future purchases from this store and brand.

Yes, this is a boutique nursery, but it has amazing plants. That being said the place is somewhat pricey, but you usually get what you pay for and these plants are not infested with fungus or mold they take very good care of their plants. I usually come here about three times a year and I always have a pleasant experience.

I had a quick question for your team member on the phone just now. Simple…do you carry zinnia profusions? Very sassy answer that we have many flowers and because it’s Mother’s Day we are very busy. So come take a look. Never mind I called Mulhuls quick response. I’ll go there

Renee is a true subject matter expert, phenomenal, and passionate about plants 🌱! She helped me revive my plants by repotting them in preparation for the change season. I’m so excited! She provided tips to help get rid of the nets too!

Anything and everything. Very helpful service.

This place is actually delicious!. But the staff is something else!!
I was there a couple of weeks ago on a Friday evening. I was in town and helping my Grams and Gramps decorate their flat. We found all we needed there, But by ourselves!
The 2 employees working seemed more interested in the "affair" they are carrying on than helping customers.
Shame on them! -
I bought 2 Coral Bells for my mother. Two days later, i planted them. She didn't like the way they looked. So i dug them up and took them back the next day. When i asked to just replace them with two different colors, i was told NO. When i pointed out their ONE YEAR return policy, the manager told me, ''What am i supposed to do with those?'' pointing to the ones i had purchased 4 days earlier.
I bought two different colors from Mulhalls, which honors THEIR one year return policy EVERY TIME.
I will NEVER shop at Earl May and discourage everyone i know from even going there. I can't EVER remember being treated so rudely! -
Everyone was super friendly except for the manager, Jerry. He answered the phone for me and wanted me off asap. Seemed like he couldn't care less about my questions. Told me he didn't know, so I showed up irl. Everyone else was beyond friendly, except Jerry, who, when asked again by a differently employee mumbled "I don't know* and sped off. I understand having a bad day, but this led to a poor experience, as to at one point where I did consider buying something, he made me reconsider and leave.

Jerry and his team exceeded my expectations. There wasn't anyone in town that had the height or number of North Poles required for the project.
He took the time to find the tall evergreens and have them brought in for delivery and planting. They were worth the wait! While admiring the new landscape Jerry suggested a birch for a privacy issue. They were able to deliver and plant same day.
The team worked very hard to plant exactly where preferred. Lana even stopped by to make sure they were upright and straight.
I could not be happier.
Well done Earl May! -
Personal, great staff, and good prices with an excellent selection. The garden has never looked better.
