Landscaping reviews in Omaha, Nebraska

My mom and dad would make the drive to Omaha to purchase all their plants here at Lanoha. Along the way they met Catherine. She would be the reason my dad and I have continued since my mom passed a year and a half ago. She remembers my dad, keeps great notes and the flowers last year were just stunning. Catherine even called this year to let us know it was time to come in and you would have them ready. We were scheduled to pick up today, but severe weather threats kept my dad at home. Catherine asked how he was doing and made the experience very personal. This year’s look to be even better than last. Thank you Catherine!

I bought a Sansevieria and a Philodendron Prince of Orange here about a month ago. when picking out the prince of Orange I did my best to find one out of nearly 2 dozen that was in decent shape. I should have known then by the looks of them that they were not healthy, some thing was definitely wrong. However, because this is the first time I had seen this particular plant I was very excited about it and purchased it nonetheless. when I went to Repot them from their nursery pots I noticed that the snake plant was riddled with spider mites, and later found several mealy bug females on the prince of Orange. The spider mites quickly spread to nearly all of my plants, fingers crossed that I won't find that the mealy bugs have spread. When I called Lanoha To advise them, before being transferred to garden center I was told by the woman who answered the phone "Oh yea, theyve had a real hard time trying to get those under control." in reference to the mites and mealy bugs. I really wanted to love this place because it's beautiful and has a lot of options but I may just stick to mow Halls as I've never purchased a plant from there that had any pests.

So many beautiful flowers and neat things for your home

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. Came in to buy a few trees after buying several last year. One tree from last year looks like it is dying with most the back side bare. Lady was unfriendly and denied a replacement. Will buy this next round elsewhere. Beware of warranty.

Beautiful landscaped grounds. Huge selection of pots.
Was not too impressed with the workers. Didn't even acknowledge you were there..except two in the houseplant area, even though I greeted them first.
Was not as impressed with houseplant selection as I have seen before. Seems that many only "have" what is in demand..which makes sense. And abundance of pothos and cacti. -
I traveled to Omaha to pick up plants not available in my area. Was greeted and helped by Jennifer. She is very knowledgeable and great to work with. Outstanding customer service. She found out I was traveling home and wrapped my plants for easier transport. Thank you Jennifer!! You are awesome!

Really amazing nursery with some very knowledgeable and helpful staff. A little on the spendy side, but you get what you pay for at Lanoha’s 👍🏻🌷

The best nursery around but a bit pricey!!!! Greenhouse is always full of seasonal color and reasonably priced.

Always super helpful, and knowledgeable. Many different kinds of plants throughout the year. Decently priced. Love the veggie and herb selection.

UPDATE: Lanoha has replaced the trees after a fair amount of negotiating with the Wandering Creek developer. The replacement trees are a different variety and look to be much better stock.
Lanoha was awarded the contract for all of the street trees in Wandering Creek. They waited until November, when things were slow to install them, gave us poor quality stock, dug a hole, filled it with water, stuck a tree in the hole and called it good! Most of the trees have died, struggled to survive or have been replaced. Now, they say they're out of warranty. I certainly hope they will not be considered for street trees as the neighborhood continues to expand.
It's interesting that all of the trees that I purchased from Cambell's are thriving... But Cambell's didn't wait until business was slow to put them in, took the time to work the soil around the trees and sold me quality stock.
I'm just one of many unhappy Wandering Creek homeowners!

Had multiple trees planted. Had two trees replaced the following year… The replacement trees, were despicable when they planted them. These are pictures of the trees that were planted months ago. They keep telling me that they are fine and there’s nothing to worry about. These trees are pricey at about $1000 apiece. I believe there is a reason for my concern. I specifically have these trees for privacy. Not doing much good. Very frustrating company to work with. The trees next to them are thriving btw.

I came to buy some plants and it happened to be one of the days when Chef Bob Haney was serving Heavenly Waffles. That was a great brunch in the greenhouse by the fountain!

These people had a bunch of trees for $460 and the cheapest one I saw was 150 they were no different than what I've seen at Lowe's home Depot Westlake Ace and theirs are more reasonable for the dead tree.

I have been a Lanoha customer for years, but probably not anymore. Last summer I purchased 2 beautiful rose bushes. They thrived and did great all summer, but died over the winter. I brought the dead bushes back (with original tags) last weekend and was hoping to exchange them but they said that specialty roses only have a 60 DAY WARRANTY?! That’s just ludicrous and proves they don’t stand by their product. Lowes, Menards, Mulhalls, and most other nurseries would exchange them, but that was just $150 down the drain. Never again.

Cayenne and Kristen went above and beyond to go get me an assortment of milkweed to chose a plant from. The milkweed was in the employee only area and the girls happily went and got me at least 10 plants to chose from. When they found out I was looking for monarch caterpillars, they went back to employee only area and pulled the caterpillars off the plants there and gave them to me to take home and rear. They made several trips to this employee only area for me and did it with a smile. It reminded me of what customer service used to look like! Lovely employees with a friendly, accommodating attitude!

Beautiful garden center with a huge selection. Plants, trees and flowers are well maintained. Also, carry home decor and gardening supplies. -
Cage was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable during my visit to Lanoha Nurseries. He took the time to answer all my questions, gave great advice on plant choices for my yard, and made the whole experience enjoyable. You can tell he really cares about the plants and the customers. Highly recommend asking for Cage if you stop by!

The folks at Lanohas are hands down the best. Whether or not i stop in for a chat or have very specific questions there is someone with the knowledge and skill to help me! The front end cashiers and customer service young people they have are a fantastic group as well.
Id highly recommend stopping and talking with Helen, usually found at the front desk, a depth of knowledge that is astounding and the kind of personality you just want to be around and experience... stop in and talk with her... if you want a custom built planter for your home seeing Cathrine is a must as well.. happy planting!
Here are some dahlias i grow with a little help from my lanoha friends, first cut of the season -
It was beautiful and the plants are fairly prices and they have a wide variety of plants. I loved it. There’s also a garden kitty.

Lovely. Beautiful annuals, large variety of perennials, healthy houseplants and trees, shrubs, and ground covers. The associate's are helpful and knowledgeable. Checking out is a breeze, plenty of open registers....no waiting in line either ...a wonderful experience....I highly recommend Lanoha Nurseries.

Make sure to keep your receipts if a tree dies in the first year. They won’t accept the tags from the tree and a credit statement that shows the amount paid and date of purchase. In other words, they don’t stand behind the trees they sell unless you have the receipt. Nothing else is accepted and they aren’t even willing to work with a customer. Policy is policy. The last thing I expected from a reputable nursery and paying a premium price was the tree to die and poor customer service as a result.
