BUYER BEWARE! Very rude and will send you an invoice even if they do not do any work for your roof. I never signed a contract. they have no problem to lie and say they have a signed contract when they don't. They want $10k from me and did no work on the roof and no signed contract. Now they threaten to go to court.

I wouldn’t use any other roofing company! Ever.

I have used South O on several projects for my personal residence and rental properties over the past 15 years. They handle your insurance claims with little of your own time required. Great quality work and I like that I can support a local, family-owned business.

South O roofing was very responsive to coming out and communicating our options. They worked with our insurance company and we got a new roof within a matter of weeks. Everyone was friendly and respectful of our home and time.

We had several contractors visit our home before selecting South O Roofing. Eddie was timely, professional and honest. Eddie asked about other contractors we were considering and stated positive comments about each - which I appreciated. He did let me know why I should select his company vs the others, but in a professional manner, unlike other companies that visited us.

The work was done as planned. It was delayed by a week due to weather, but we were notified and an apology was made. The roof looks great. The work that we asked to be done was agreed upon and completed in full. We had no issues and would select this company again in the future!

The people at South O were so easy to deal with. We were on a very tight schedule to get completed before finalizing the sale of the house. They were professional in every way. Timely communication at every step of the process. Went beyond our expectations of fulfilling our needs.

Absolutely rude. Once you sign they seem to not care. I was told my estimate for the insurance company would be ready in a few days. Called middle of the following week. Was not answered till the next day. Was told my estimate would be 10 to 14 days! So I called and was told to get a lawyer to review our contract and hung up on. This would be Nicky Jones and Byron. Called the office directly to ask for a different sales rep. Sounds like they just plan to blow my off according to Byron and I quote " people like you think you know the process. Forget you were done" and hung up on me.

He did a great job on the downspout repairs and installation of gutter guards. Quickly scheduled and quickly done!

My experience with south-o was frustrating. My sales rep was amazing on first meeting, but then became somewhat unresponsive and dismissive. Could only get ahold of him if I called the office and requested a call. Additionally, they did the work differently than how the house was originally and blamed me at first. Once pictures were sent back and forth they were willing to redo the work and correct it. Also, they ask you to make sure the driveway is cleared for the work but placed their materials in the grass for original drop off and left additional materials in the grass after the first day for the whole weekend resulting in a significant amount of our grass in the front yard desd. The only saving grace of this company was the office staff who actually answered the phone and returned calls, and were understanding. I don't recommend this company, but if you have no other choice I would say the work will eventually get done.

I had a great experience working with Byron and Nikki. They were great partners through the whole process, helping me understand the steps needed and making sure that we were able to get the right shingles for my roof.

They were professional, responsive and very friendly.

Even at the end of the process when I had some requests for rework they were quick to address any concerns I had.

I hope I don't need another roof, but if I do I know who I'm calling.

I write this review to give genuine feedback to a company that could be really good. I have personally used them twice and recommended them several times. But over the past year I have realized that their work is not as good as I once thought.

The bottom line is that they get the work done, but it is sub par work. The owner truly seems that he cares. He is responsive to fix/repair/respond to issues with the initial job, but in the long run, the job wasn't done right the first or even the second time.

I had another roofing company, innovative roofing company (Over 300 5 Star reviews), come out to give me a bid on some other work needing done and they immediately spotted 3 major issues with the way the roof was done.

Other things to note
1. They are very good with insurance but I felt that they were so good with insurance only to leverage my claim in order to put the most amount of money in the company's pockets, not to actually get me the best service possible.
2. Some of their employees can seem to be overly pushy and aggressive. I don't know if this is just the person I worked with or the general culture of the company.

Hope that this feedback makes the company better and helps customers know what to expect.

I wish I would have started off with South O Roofing to begin with. The first company I started with took over a year of nothing but canceled appointments and 3 different people I was trying to work with. In the end after a year nothing was accomplished or ever started. They said they could do nothing for me. I was lucky enough to meet Eddie Jones who is a professional and a hard working family man who understands people just want honesty and the truth and someone who is going to do the right thing. Eddie and the South O Roofing team within two weeks got me approved for a full roof replacement without any hassle and answered every question, phone call and email and walked me through every step along the way. Eddie was even kind enough to work with me at his home with any questions or concerns I had. I would highly recommend using South O roofing for all your exterior home needs. We had roof, siding, and gutters done. Eddie was fast to answer all my questions and I had lots of them. Great customer service from the entire team at South O.

Had siding repair done after storm damage. South O team fixed it affordably, looks good, and has withstood heavy winds and storms. Byron and Nicky were very helpful and responsive.
