I had the best experience with Cody, Stella and Evan. They’re very professional, very knowledgeable and they are some good people. Stela and Evan just married. So congratulations on their new journey together. I had already had solar from a previous company but the previous company didn’t size my system correctly. Cody Evan and Stela popped by and assessed my energy consumption and were able to successfully build a system that meets my energy needs. Thanks so much to the universal team, they came and installed in less than 2 weeks and were very timely. Cody/Evan/Stela explained everything a great detail and made it very easy to understand. I’m so happy with how it all panned out.

Had my system installed a few months back and so far it’s been a complete disaster, once the sale has been completed you can forget getting help from your sales representative, the installation crew is messy and unprofessional. They installed the conduit through the roof in the wrong spot and of course as soon as it rained I had a steady stream of water flowing into my garage. The repair on the roof was made by an outside contractor but the electrical repairs have to be done by universal solar so my system has been disconnected now for about a month. Look elsewhere for your solar needs.

Tivon was great! He made sure the entire installation process went smoothly and took the time to explain everything to me. The panels were installed perfectly, and the system is performing well. I’m very happy with Tivon’s service.

This company is full of liars. Don't fall for Davey the install reps lies or Jeff the install managers lies. You will be stuck with 2 power bills for 25 years. even if you choose the higher end side of the systems. universal solar direct will avoid all your phone calls. this company will never get back to you. Your install will not be completed for 6 or7 months. they will pretend like they did not know and that it was completed. very unprofessional
company damaged my existing equipment an refused to repair. I am stuck paying a lawyer at this point.

There are many solar companies that will knock on your door claiming to have the best prices and "go above and beyond" to ensure any issues are resolved. We specified that, cost and low prices wasn't the only factor we were looking at when comparing companies... but of course each any all the sales folks (which won't be the people you coordinate with after install) claim that their company has local teams and fast response. Unfortunately not the case, took about 4 weeks to get 1 person to actually even look at the roof leak that was caused by install. Multiple rain days happening within those 4 weeks were articulated with our concern over mold, but still no urgency. I would keep shopping around and ask additional questions to whoever you chose to go with on Solar to ensure/validate their quality of service after installation of the initial panels.

Update - 10 Dec 2023 - ceiling and roof leak has been repaired. No other leaks/issues so far.

I don’t normally leave reviews, however I am compelled to leave a review for outstanding service! Let’s start with a lovely & friendly couple Evan & Stela who came to our home & set the appointment for an estimate to reduce our electric bill with solar. (We had another company come out about 5 years ago, they were very high pressure, & I literally wanted to throw them out of my house. Needless to say I was skeptical.)
We met with Cody, who educated my wife and I how solar systems works, how their systems work better, how NV Energy rates are on the rise, & how purchasing a system through Universal Solar Direct could benefit us by paying the same price that we are paying NV Energy now.
Next step of the process was quicker than expected: Tech Dylan arrives to survey the roof & electrical panel on Friday, plans are drawn, permits pulled, & installation happens next day. Professional crews install complete system within 8 hours. Now waiting on NV Energy to help complete this project. I highly recommend USD & their team!! Let’s hope the NV Energy can get this activated ASAP -

I honestly had the best experience. Cody was super experienced. Explained everything. Made sure the install went well. I’ve had solar for a few months and My flat rate is so much lower than NV energy! Plus I own the panels! A++

I want to say thank you to Luke for spending time with me discussing the solar options for my home in Henderson, NV. Over the last four years I have talked to a number of solar sales representatives and no one has every presented themselves as knowledgeable and experienced in solar systems for the home. The solar system details and value added advantages Luke went over with me far exceeded my expectations. His wide range of knowledge related to home solar systems was exceptional. I asked a lot of questions and his response to my questions were spot on.

USD installed the solar on our roof a few years back. First we had a problem with the birds but after some fussing from the company they installed a net around the panels and they resolved the issue. To this day everything was good and I even recommended them to friends. A few months ago the inverter went bad. Communication to this point has been extremely disappointing for USD and very slow from their third party partners who are supposed to replace it. 3 months! In the mean time our electric bill has been double because from what Nevada Power is saying the solar system is triggering something around midnight. I emailed them with the bills from this year and from the same months last year and the months before the issue so they can see and compare the difference. We were gone internationally in June so emailed them the tickets as a proof but as well. After a few emails without any response from them I called today and finally got transferred to Jeff who pretends to look at the policy and says you have self monitoring on your policy and we cannot help you with the NP bill. What can I exactly do by self monitoring when it takes 3 months for you to fix it?? It’s the middle of the summer!

Not sure how other solar companies are but these guys don’t stand behind their service. Extremely slow and won’t respond to emails. So if you thinking about finding installer do some research.

And I did read the bundle of papers they gave me when we signed the contract. Nothing mentioned about self monitoring

Apparently the company has gone under and is no longer honoring their contractual agreements! We have had nothing but terrible experiences with Universal Solar Direct since the very beginning. We should have NEVER trusted them!!!

Daniel was incredibly professional and efficient during the installation of my solar system. He made sure everything was done right and explained the process to me clearly. The panels are working perfectly, and I’m very satisfied with Daniel’s work.

Chelsea at Universal Solar is simply the best. I installed their panels 1 year ago and I am extremely pleased. The panels have produced more energy than I expected and it’s easy to monitor via an App on my iPhone. Chelsea has been outstanding at “checking in” and she is so responsive. This instills the utmost confidence in the product. Thank you Chelsea and Universal Solar.

Universal has been around longer than any other solar company here in the valleys Excellent sales support and knowledge of product and Solar energy at point of sale. Hugo knew his stuff compared to the other quotes. Install was fast and performed in an efficient and very clean way. After installation support fantastic. Universal Solar Direct stays with you long after the sale and installation. Performance estimates exceeded by over 10%.

Really happy, they are very good company. I definitely recommend them to friends and family. I never have issues with the system. They did a very good job installing it. It was smooth and quick and cleaned up after also. I’ve several questions and they respond quickly and are always polite. Everything is followed through.

Cody and Anthony knocked on my door, they were very professional, pleasant and adorable. at this point I had known nothing about solar. I agreed to have Cody come back and educate me on the benefits of switching to solar. He was polite, very educated and thorough in the explanation on the advantages of switching to solar and answered all of my questions comments and concerns, and i was enlightened about the concept of owning my power vs renting my energy from NV Energy. For me it was a no brainer to make the switch, unfortunately i have learned that only 3 in 5 homes qualify for their program. if you are interested in solar and can qualify, i highly recommend contacting Cody to educate you, as he did me.
