Very nice, cute nursery. lots of good stuff, plants and related items. Friendly, helpful knowledgable staff. Plants seem expensive to me, but i don't shop plants a lot so don't really know. That said, plants are VERY healthy and the green house is a pleasure to wander around in. FAR better experience than the huge stores that happen to sell plants too.

This is such a cool store. Why is it I have a bad experience every time I walk thru the door???? Today I got followed around the sales floor by a growling pit bull. Last time I was here I was snarled at by an employee simply for asking where the marigolds are. I would love to shop here. But I am done with this place.

Love love!!!! Really pricey but great selection! Got several plants and loving all of them. Some of there plants looked a little sad but most of them were in really good shape and everyone was so helpful! It’s one of my favorite plants shops in Reno

I went there to price some small trees and colorful shrubs for where I work, (FAA Air traffic control tower, Reno)
I was unable to get the attention of anyone who worked there. I even tried standing right next to an associate who was busy chatting with a friend, but she never even looked over at me. This is not the first time this has happened to me here. So, I walked out the door and went to Home Depot. MUCH better service.

Great selection of plants and yard decor

I’m sorry but I would never recommend going through this business for Flowers. A month ago co-worker of mines brother passed away . This was a big deal at my deal being that we all knew her as well as her brother. So I collected money from co-workers to pitch in a buy a beautiful bouquet of flowers for her loss. I contacted Moana Nursery being that we found the bouquet online that we all liked and pitched in money on as far as the cost for this specific bouquet. I called for days with no response. Then I finally got through to an employee through phone call . Unfortunately this company only has one florist for their multiple locations . The florist is the only person who makes the special bouquets . The florist also was not at the location I was calling so the employee transferred me over to the correct store to speak with the Florist. Another employee answered the phone , and trying putting me through with the florist as well . I left many voicemails and called even more times . I really wanted to go through this company because once again I had the money of other people who wanted a specific bouquet of flowers for our co-worker. Days go by the Florist named Alex calls me back but unfortunately I was on another call speaking with his co-worker so Alex left me a voicemail. The voicemail was to me very rude . He went on to say that he hasn’t returned my calls because he is very busy (which is understandable) with other important customers like weddings , funerals , birthdays etc. And he wouldn’t be able to take or make my order for the weekend. This was upsetting because if he would’ve spoken with me he would’ve known that it was no rush for the order being that our co-worker would be out of work grieving for awhile . I tried calling again but still no answer so I finally gave up and went to Sparks Florist. They were nice , quick, empathetic , fast and reasonable. I would definitely go there instead . Moana Nursery seems to not be professional, empathetic, or concerned about their customers. This is just my opinion from my experience. I would NOT RECOMMEND!

This is a very nice place to shop. They have a large assortment of plants, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I was looking for vegetable starts for my garden, and they have a lot of different organic and heirloom varieties that are not available at Home Depot or Lowes stores. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of service you get. I was also looking for some fruit tree information. I spoke with a few people who couldn't answer my question, so they sent me to someone who could. I appreciated that very much that they did that, and didn't just give me a BS answer! They saved me from an expensive mistake. I will definitely be back again. They are very conveniently located on my way home from work. Even if they weren't, I would still make the trip again. I highly recommend stopping by this place. Happy gardening!

This is the place to go for plants in Reno/Tahoe. The staff is so friendly here. Jeanine was able to help me pick out a huge order of houseplants and my cashier, Chris, did an amazing job ringing everything up and taking care of me. He seriously went above and beyond on my order, I can't thank him enough for his customer service.

The greenhouse is beautifully laid out and the girl who works in that department was so patient with all of my questions about how to keep plants alive.

I had such a great experience going here. Their green house is full of amazing plants that have tags on them to help you determine their needs/care, which is extremely helpful for someone with a black thumb and low light apartment looking to bring some life into their home. I could easily navigate what I should/shouldn’t buy on my own by just wandering through. They have incredibly knowledgeable employees who care about what they are sending you home with, at check out I got a great debrief on what to do and what not to do with the plant I was purchasing. I got lost for hours in here with the variety of what they offer, from their retail space to the botany and wildlife care. From what their employees told me they also offer full landscaping services and given my experience I would absolutely trust them. They are honest, caring, and knowledgeable. They have every intention to fit their products to your lifestyle, which is very important in the plant world! A fantastic local business to support.

I have never had a bad experience at Moana! They are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the plants they sell. They are also dog-friendly to friendly dogs and I enjoy bringing my boys to the nursery. Sometimes we have to wait to see an associate about our questions, but it's always worth it because they are a trove of knowledge!

I had the BEST shopping experience at the Moana Nursery this week! The amazing expertise and outstanding salesperson named Linda was the KEY to making the purchase of my tree so much fun and very educational. Moana Nursery has a fantastic selection of very healthy, beautiful, and robust trees. It was difficult for me to choose one. But thanks to Linda's vast knowledge base, patience, kindness, and her professional guidance I was able to finally select the perfect tree for my small front yard. (I had originally purchased a large tree but once I returned home I realized I needed a smaller tree. I immediately called Moana Nursery to let them know I needed to make an exchange. Fortunately the large tree had not yet been delivered to my house.) The staff person told me it was no problem so I returned today to make the exchange.

Linda astonished me by taking time on her day off from work yesterday to conduct research into a list of options tailored for my planting circumstances. She produced her written list to me today which helped enormously in my decision-making process. I have never had such fantastic customer service in my entire life!!!

The other Moana Nursery staff were also very helpful and professional throughout the purchase process and setting up a delivery time.

I will never shop anywhere else for trees, shrubs, or plants.

My favorite nursery ever. Good indoor plant selection. On the pricier end of plants but fair. I’m sure you could find something cheaper that’s not as good quality. I appreciate the staff. Very kind and professional. They are helpful but not lingering. Shopping here is a anti-stresser. If I want 30minutes of self care I come browse this shop.

Myself and my husband only come here for some fresh flowers. A few times a month for my husband and he always gets me beautiful lilies. Today he brought me my bouquet and im quiet disappointed in the quality. Its not very pretty this time around. 😞
