I want to give my thanks to Roger Smith and techs Tyler and Sam for all the work they did at my home installed a new 500 gallon propane tank and piping to my new generator and then coming back a week and a half later to pipe in my new gas range. Tyler and Sam helped me get the range into my house and then they went to work running the propane line, setting the range in place, testing it and then Sam walked me through how to adjust the low flame settings on the burners, if they needed further tuning. Roger Smith was great to work with on setting up the appointments and I am glad I went with Rymes Propane and Oil for this installation.

Horrible auto-delivery service from them. I encountered multiple interruptions in delivery and each time I called, was assured "now" there should be no interruption in service. The last straw was water damage from frozen pipes resulting in thousands in damage. Afterwards, Roger the Antrim manager was unsympathetic and rude, giving conflicting explanations/excuses as to why delivery did not occur. If auto-delivery is important to you, definitely don't choose Rymes.

I have been a customer with Rymes for over 6 years and will be one no longer. After calling them twice in a month for a fill up they put only 100 gallons in at a time. I called them today to schedule yet another fill up and they told me it would be 2 weeks until they could take care of me. They wouldn't even do an emergency fill as i was out of fuel. They stated that they were taking care of their auto-pay customer and that they were priority. I guess the 4+ fill-ups i need a year isn't good enough business for them. I called Vallaincourt in Hillsboro and i was filled within the hour (without an additional service charge).

I’ve been a Rymes customer for about two years and they are the best propane company I’ve ever used by far. They always refill us with plenty of time to spare without me calling. Knowing my tank was more than half full, I called once before big storm because we have a generator that shares a fuel tank with our heating system, and I wanted to make sure we had plenty of fuel. Rymes had come that morning to top us off without me calling or noticing. The drivers are also always professional and courteous. I highly recommend this company.

The service from this company is very bad, I have a problem with the gas line, the staff came to my house to check and said they need to replace the gas line before I can use it again, four days later when the staff helped me install the gas line, they disconnected all my gas line only the gas line of my stove were connected. The staff said they were too busy and don’t have time to connect other gas line. Also, the staff accidentally broke my heater , The staff checked my heater and said that one part was broken. They need to order a part and come back to help me fix it. After waiting for two weeks No staff contacted me! Then I called to ask what was going on, and their service department said they couldn't get the parts needed for this heater because the company no longer produced it. In the winter time I don’t have heat, no hot water, no dryer for over two weeks.

I have been a customer of Rymes for 10 years now, first at our home in Peterborough NH, and then in Dublin NH. Good things: They will sometimes show up for fuel deliveries. They have a very nice new website and mobile app which makes it convenient to order fuel, setup a service, or check your account history. This is likely why I have (foolishly) stayed with them so long; I appreciate the convenience! Especially for something we need to order multiple times per year. It is northern New England after all. Bad Things: Everything else regarding mechanical service, fuel deliveries, customer service, and price. Fuel delivery service: They will add fees at the drop of a hat for anything they can argue is an "obstruction" or a "hazard", such as an inch of snow, or an unlocked garden gate they have to pass through. Otherwise I have had no issue with the delivery folk. Mechanical Service: Just not all that competent unfortunately. Multiple times over the years I have needed to call an independent service person after Rymes attempted to fix an issue and could not. Some of the service people are very nice and great to work with, others are very surly and dismissive. I dont really care about the attitudes all that much though, the real issue is that they dont fix the problem. They will still happily charge you $1000s for their attempts however. Phone Customer Service: Will not commit to delivery dates. Will not rush delivery in emergency (unless you absolutely beg them, then maybe if they feel like it). Imagine if every time you went to Burger King the clerk argued with you, accused you of disloyalty, and made you fill out a questionnaire before they served you. That's what dealing with this group feels like. I have money, you have product, why does this need to be so complicated and unpleasant? Price: They add multiple unexplained fees to the bill, and the prices are higher than competitors, whether that is fuel oil or propane. It seems evident to me that the company is putting its money into its technology side, which is great! But also that it is doing so at the expense of the meat-and-potatoes service operations, which is not great. My advice to Rymes: Hire more people, pay them better salaries, and commit to the service side of the business. We will not be using them for fuel or service any longer.

Absolutely terrible experiences with them. They take forever to answer the phone, don’t listen to anything you tell them, and are extremely unprofessional. We put in a report of having no heat, told them we had propane, and we needed a tech. What do they do? Send out a propane delivery guy instead of a tech, 2 1/2 hours after we called at 11pm. Then send out a tech the next day, who tells us we need a gas valve (told them that from the start), they tell us we will get a call when the part comes in to schedule the service, and then they sent someone out a day later with NO CALL to have someone home! Then tell us they will be here Monday, Monday comes around and we get a call that they are no longer sending someone! They are fully aware we have a baby at home and still let us go over a week with no heat. We are in a rental which is the only reason we deal with this terrible company. It is so poorly run and extremely unorganized.

My experience was pretty bad. They told me when signing up that they monitored my tank remotely, but then one day while on vacation I get a notice that they just delivered a full tank's worth of fuel (so I'd apparently run out). Was told then that my tank is not actually monitored. To make matters worse, when refilling they left a valve on the tank closed, so my furnace couldn't run until I returned from vacation. Thankfully this didn't happen a few weeks earlier; it could have been catastrophic. Service dept was equally a mess when I needed some parts. Told me they were on order several times, over several months. Only when escalating to a manager after all the delays did I find that nobody had ever ordered the parts.

Connor did an outstanding job repairing our AC unit. From the moment he arrived, he demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail. Another contractor had already told us that the entire unit needed to be replaced, which would have been a significant expense. Connor took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem and, thanks to his expertise and meticulous approach, was able to repair the unit instead of replacing it. He clearly explained the issue, answered all of my questions, and worked carefully to ensure everything was functioning properly before he left. It's rare to find a technician who is both highly skilled and genuinely committed to finding the best solution for the customer. Connor saved us a substantial amount of money and restored our confidence that honest, knowledgeable professionals are still out there. We couldn't be happier with the service and would highly recommend his company to anyone needing HVAC repairs or maintenance.
